OPPO is reportedly working on a compact smartphone with flagship-level specifications. And if recent reports are to be believed, it could launch under the OnePlus brand as the OnePlus 16T. According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, the upcoming phone could feature a 1.5K LTPO OLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset and two 200MP rear cameras. OPPO Compact Phone and OnePlus 16T: What the Leak Says
According to the tipster DCs via Debayan Roy on X, the upcoming smartphone could feature a 6.35-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is reportedly being designed with a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio although further details about the display are not available yet.
The phone could feature a metal frame and measure less than 9mm in thickness. Despite its relatively compact design, it is tipped to house a battery with a capacity of around 7,000mAh or more along with support for 80W fast charging.
The smartphone is expected to use MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9600M chipset and the tipster also mentions US FS and an IP69 rating.
The phone is also tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run Android 17.

Expected Launch Timeline and Availability
The launch timeline and availability details of the rumoured OPPO compact smartphone have not been revealed yet. It is also unclear whether the device will launch first in China or make its way to other markets including India.
