Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is said to take a different route. Instead of focusing on higher megapixels, the device will reportedly use a 50MP Sony LYTIA-838 sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size. Despite the lower megapixel count, the sensor is still expected to deliver at least 16EV dynamic range focusing on image quality and processing.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is also tipped to feature a 200MP camera but with a 1/1.28-inch SmartSens sensor. Like the OPPO model, this phone is expected to prioritise ultra-high resolution while maintaining strong dynamic range capabilities.
This highlights a split strategy among brands. While OPPO and Xiaomi are pushing toward 200MP sensors for higher detail, Vivo appears to be focusing on a refined 50MP sensor approach for balanced performance.
