Oppo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone, the K12, in China very soon.
The company has already announced the launch date and revealed key details about the device’s design, colour options, and standout features.
If rumours are to be believed, and they generally are in the tech sphere, Oppo K12 could be a rebranded version of the recently released OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G in India.
Every company has its own way to showcase their device’s strength and Oppo has chosen to highlight the K12’s durability as a key selling point.
The K12’s strength is its real strength, in a way and the demonstration video on Weibo showcases a bending test where the K12 was compared to another smartphone.
While the other device was completely destroyed and rendered unusable after being subjected to 60 KG of pressure, the Oppo K12 emerged victorious, still functioning perfectly.
Talk about a flex.
Oppo attributes the K12’s impressive durability to its “anti-fall diamond structure.”
Apart from all this, the phone has also earned the SGS Gold Label five-star drop resistance certification, lending more credibility to its unyielding structural integrity.
Under the hood, the Oppo K12 is expected to pack a punch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with a generous 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
It’s also confirmed to feature a massive 5,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging, similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 4 in India.
The K12 is likely to boast a 6.7-inch 120Hz full-HD+ AMOLED display, accompanied by a triple camera setup on the rear, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter.
For selfies, it’s rumoured to feature a 16MP front camera.
Additional expected features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance.

The Oppo K12 highlights its durability with an “anti-fall diamond structure,” proven in tests where it withstood 60 KG of pressure without damage, unlike competitors.
This durability is further certified by the SGS Gold Label for drop resistance.
Rumors suggest that the Oppo K12 might be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G, sharing similar specifications like the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, large battery capacity, and fast charging technology.
The Oppo K12 is expected to sport a triple camera setup including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a third unspecified sensor, along with a 16MP front camera for selfies.
Key features of the K12 include a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 512GB of storage, IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Oppo K12 is set to launch soon in China, though the exact colour options have not been detailed yet.
The launch date and additional specifications are expected to be confirmed closer to the release.
