The feature even made its way to the Find X8 and X8 Pro. However, a new leak suggests that the upcoming Find X8 Ultra may not have it. Here’s everything we know so far.

According to a recent post by the popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Oppo might replace the traditional three-stage Alert Slider with a click-based switch similar to Apple’s Action Button.

This would allow users to customise the button for different functions, just like on the latest iPhones.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra – What to Expect?

Beyond design changes, the Find X8 Ultra is rumoured to bring some camera upgrades as well. Reports suggest it will feature a 50MP IMX882 sensor with 6x periscope zoom, an improvement over the Find X7 Ultra’s 5x IMX858 lens. The 3x periscope lens is also expected to get a better 50MP IMX906 sensor with a larger 1/1.56-inch size.

The phone is likely to have a quad-camera setup including a 50MP IMX882 ultrawide sensor and the same 1-inch LYT-900 main sensor found in the Find X7 Ultra. As with previous Find X models, Oppo is expected to continue its collaboration with Hasselblad for camera tuning.

Powering the device will reportedly be a 6,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast wired charging. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is expected to drive the performance. Other possible features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and IP68/69 dust and water resistance.

According to Digital Chat Station, Oppo is considering a 200MP periscope lens for its 2026 flagship replacing the 50MP + 50MP dual-periscope setup found on the Find X7 Ultra and the expected Find X8 Ultra.

The Find X7 Ultra was the world’s first dual-periscope flagship, but it looks like Oppo may now follow Xiaomi and Vivo, who have already adopted 200MP periscope cameras for their Ultra-tier phones.
