The OPPO Find X7 Pro, poised to succeed the Find X6 Pro, has been generating buzz with its unique camera features, as evidenced by recent leaks and images.
The flagship device, originally slated for a November launch in China, is now expected to debut before the Spring Festival in February next year.
A standout feature of the Find X7 Pro, as suggested by leaked images, is its dual periscope lens setup.
A real-world image was shared on Weibo, where the phone was spotted in public transit with the rear camera module, arranged in a hexagonal layout, was seen housing four cameras, including what looked like two periscope lenses.
In terms of the actual hardware, the Find X7 Pro’s camera setup is rumoured to include a 50MP wide camera with Sony’s 1-inch LYT900 sensor, also expected in the OnePlus 12’s primary camera.
One periscope camera might offer up to 2.7x optical zoom with Sony’s IMX890 sensor, while the other, backed by a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor, should give up to 6x optical zoom.
Additionally, there is likely to be a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera with the Sony IMX890 sensor as part of the array.
The phone’s design marks a departure from its predecessor, featuring a rounded silver metal frame with a soft finish or faux leather rear panel.
The hexagonal camera module, protruding significantly, presents a drastic shift in aesthetics from the Find X6 Pro, known for its Hasselblad-influenced design.
Hasselblad, a partner in camera hardware and imaging for both Oppo and OnePlus, is expected to contribute to the Find X7 Pro’s photography system.
Features such as a Portrait Mode and a Bokeh Flare Portrait could be included, enhancing the phone’s photographic capabilities.
While the exact battery size remains unknown, there are rumours which suggest that the Find X7 Pro will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Given that the Find X6 Pro came with a 5000mAh battery, expectations are high for the Find X7 Pro to offer a similar or greater capacity.
