OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming OnePlus Ace 7 series in China. The lineup will include two smartphones, the OnePlus Ace 7 and OnePlus Ace 7 Pro. Here’s what we know about the launch, design and expected specifications.
OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro Launch Date and Availability
The OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro will launch in China on October 29 at 7 PM local time. Reservations for both smartphones are already open through OnePlus’ official online store in the country.
Interested buyers can also get gifts worth up to 2,463 yuan by paying 9.9 yuan, according to the company’s offer.
OnePlus has yet to announce its prices, and details about availability in markets outside China remain unknown.
OnePlus Ace 7 Series Design Officially Revealed
OnePlus has officially revealed the design of the Ace 7 series through a promotional poster. The same poster had appeared in a leaked image on Weibo a few days earlier. The poster describes the lineup as a generational leap in performance and confirms that both smartphones will ship with ColorOS.
The image shows two phones with different rear finishes. One model features a silver finish that transitions into warm orange towards the bottom, along with a glowing outlined pattern and an outlined OnePlus logo. The other has a light blue finish with a frosted, wind-like texture spreading out from a blurred OnePlus logo at the centre.
Both smartphones feature a large, squircle-shaped camera module in the top-left corner. The module houses a tall pill-shaped lens, a smaller circular lens and a ring-shaped element, while the flash sits outside the camera island. The phones also have flat frames, with the buttons positioned on the right side.
OnePlus Ace 7 Series Specifications and Features
According to earlier reports, the OnePlus Ace 7 series could focus on gaming performance with both models tipped to feature a built-in cooling fan.
OnePlus China President Li Jie has confirmed that the cooling system uses a dual-airflow design. One airflow stream is designed to cool the chipset, while the other cools the rear panel. In a test shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro reportedly ran Delta Force at close to 185fps.
Both smartphones are also tipped to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. They could be offered with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The battery capacity is rumoured to be 9,000mAh with support for either 100W or 120W fast charging. However, OnePlus has not confirmed the battery or charging specifications.
For photography, both models are expected to feature a 200-megapixel primary rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera. The phones are also tipped to run ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
OnePlus Ace 7 vs Ace 7 Pro: Key Differences
The main expected difference between the OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro is their processor and telephoto camera hardware.
The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is rumoured to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The standard OnePlus Ace 7, meanwhile, could feature a V Series version of the same chip.
The Pro model is also tipped to include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. The standard model is not currently expected to offer this additional camera, based on the available reports.
