OnePlus has officially confirmed that the Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition will launch in China next week, though the exact date hasn’t been revealed yet. Both phones are part of the new Ace 5 lineup and were recently showcased at a press event in China alongside MediaTek. Here’s what we know about the devices for now.

The biggest highlight of these phones is their use of MediaTek’s newest chipsets. The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing will be the first phone in the world to come with the Dimensity 9400e chip, a tuned-up version of the Dimensity 9300 Plus, designed to boost gaming performance.

The Ace 5 Ultra will take things a step further with the Dimensity 9400+, which is currently MediaTek’s most powerful processor.
According to OnePlus, both phones are built with gamers in mind and will support high frame rates and ultra-smooth gameplay.
Both phones come with flat LTPS OLED displays. The Racing Edition features a 6.77-inch screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Ultra version bumps that up slightly with a 6.83-inch display and a faster 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for smoother scrolling and gaming.
Camera-wise, both models come with a 50MP main camera on the back, along with a second sensor (details not yet disclosed). On the front, you’ll get a 16MP selfie camera.
Battery life looks promising, both phones pack a massive 7,000mAh battery. The Racing model supports 80W fast charging, while the Ultra version goes up to 100W for even faster top-ups.
The Ace 5 Ultra will also feature up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a massive 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, making it ideal for power users and serious mobile gamers. As for the Racing Edition, OnePlus hasn’t confirmed its RAM and storage options yet.
With the official unveiling lined up for next week, we will have to wait for more updates till then.
