Battlegrounds Mobile India is rolling out its big 3.8 update starting May 15. Krafton India is pushing the download in phases on both Android and iOS, so it may not pop up for everyone at once. Availability depends on your region and phone model.
Krafton is expected to roll out the BGMI 3.8 update in India on May 15, 2025 at 7:00 AM.
The rollout will reportedly be released in phases across Android and iOS devices. Some players may receive it slightly earlier or later depending on their region or phone model.
The centrepiece is the Steampunk Frontier Theme Mode, inspired by the hit anime Attack on Titan. Erangel now has two fresh hot-drop zones near the Shooting Range and Mylta, packed with top-tier loot and tight close-quarters fights.

The update features new rewards including crate coupons, new emotes, outfits like the Belle Tinkerer Set, the Cogwheel Core Dagger, new suits available through Gold Spin new skins, and much more.
Make sure you have at least 2 GB of free space and that your current BGMI build is up-to-date before starting the download.
When the update reaches your device, grab it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store as usual. However, if you don’t see it yet, give it a little time and try again.
