Nubia has introduced its latest Neo 5 series of gaming-focused smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. The lineup includes the Nubia Neo 5, Nubia Neo 5 GT and Nubia Neo 5 Max.

As of now, the company has revealed complete specifications only for the Nubia Neo 5 GT. The device is being positioned as a performance-oriented gaming smartphone and is claimed to be the only handset in its segment to feature a built-in active cooling fan. It also comes with a 29,508mm² cooling chamber designed to keep the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor running at optimal temperatures during intensive gaming sessions. The Nubia Neo 5 GT has been launched with a starting price of EUR 399 (roughly INR 42,400). It will go on sale in Southeast Asian markets later this month, alongside the standard Nubia Neo 5 model.

The smartphone will be available in three colour options, though the company has not revealed the exact colour names yet.

The Nubia Neo 5 GT features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is designed for gaming and offers a 3,049Hz instant touch sampling rate along with a 5.5ms touch latency. Nubia claims the display can reach 4,500 nits peak brightness and carries SGS Eye Care certification.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, although the company has not yet disclosed details about RAM and storage configurations. The gaming-centric smartphone also includes a 360-degree game antenna and 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0, enabling four-finger control during gameplay.

For photography, the phone comes with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, it houses a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

One of the standout features of the device is its built-in active cooling fan, supported by the large 29,508mm² cooling chamber to maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions.

The handset features IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. It also includes AI Copilot Demi 2.0, which offers a gaming coach with real-time status updates, and AI Game Space 5.0, a dedicated hub for managing performance settings and game optimisation. The device also features RGB lighting.

According to the company, the Nubia Neo 5 GT is officially certified to support 120FPS gameplay on Garena Free Fire and MLBB. It is also said to deliver 90fps gameplay on Delta Force with the Mid-Season updated version.

The smartphone packs a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery with support for up to 80W wired fast charging. It also includes bypass charging support, which helps reduce heat buildup during gaming while the device is plugged in.

For audio and haptics, the phone features stereo dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra along with an X-Axis linear motor for enhanced vibration feedback.
