Nothing has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone (4a) series will debut globally on March 5. In the run-up to the launch, the company has been teasing key features of its upcoming midrange lineup. Now, an official render posted on X has revealed the rear design of the Phone (4a) for the first time. Here’s a closer look.
The newly shared image on Nothing’s official social media accounts shows that the Nothing Phone (4a) continues with the brand’s signature semi-transparent look. The back panel features a layered, industrial-inspired design with visible screws and geometric accents, maintaining the company’s distinct visual identity.
At the top, the dual-camera setup is housed within an oval module that blends seamlessly into the clean and minimal rear panel design.

The new Glyph Bar is visible on the extreme right side. This updated LED strip system replaces the earlier Glyph interface style with individually controllable mini-LEDs. The redesigned setup is said to offer brighter and more precise light notifications for calls, alerts, and app activities, while also reducing visual clutter compared to previous iterations.
Rumours indicate that the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro may not feature the Glyph Bar. Instead, it could adopt a Glyph Matrix design similar to last year’s Nothing Phone (3).
As per leaks, the Nothing Phone (4a) is expected to be available in multiple colour options including black, white, pink, and blue. It will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals and an immersive viewing experience.
The device is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It may be paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and offer up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the smartphone is likely to run Nothing OS 4 based on Android 16, continuing the brand’s clean and minimal user interface approach.
In terms of cameras, the Phone (4a) is tipped to feature a 50MP primary rear sensor and a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. While complete camera specifications are yet to be disclosed, the device is expected to deliver balanced photography performance.
Details regarding the battery capacity and charging support remain unknown at this stage. With the official unveiling just around the corner, more confirmed information about the Nothing Phone (4a) series is expected soon.
