Official-looking renders of Nothing’s upcoming Ear and Ear (a) earbuds have surfaced online.
These images, ahead of the April 18 launch, show a continuation of Nothing’s signature transparent design language.
As mentioned, true to Nothing’s brand identity, the leaked renders, courtesy of Android Headlines, depict the Ear and Ear (a) earbuds sporting a sleek, see-through aesthetic.
Both models appear to maintain the square charging case design from previous generations, with minor tweaks like the “Nothing Ear” branding on the stem of each earbud.
While the Ear buds are showcased in traditional black and white shades.
The highlight is undoubtedly the Ear (a) variant’s eye-catching yellow hue.
This vibrant option features a yellow housing for the ear tip portion, complemented by a yellow insert on the rear of the charging case.
Interestingly, the leaked yellow colourway bears a striking resemblance to the popular Playdate gaming handheld.
This connection seemingly corroborates Nothing’s recent cryptic teaser featuring a “Play Date” reference and a yellow frog graphic.
Beyond the design leaks, the report also claims to have obtained pricing information for the upcoming audio offerings.
According to the leak, the Nothing Ear buds will retail for €150 (about Rs 15,000), while the Ear (a) variant will be priced at €100 (around Rs 10,000).
Of course, in India, the pricing is likely to be much cheaper.
Both models are rumoured to boast IP54 water resistance, active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities, and impressive battery life estimates.
The Ear buds are said to offer up to 33 hours of usage with ANC disabled (including the charging case), while the Ear (a) purportedly extends that figure to 38 hours under similar conditions.
The leaked images reveal a continued transparent design, a signature of the Nothing brand.
The Nothing Ear comes in black and white, while the Ear (a) introduces a vibrant yellow colourway, possibly tied to a partnership with Playdate.
The yellow variant of the Ear (a) earbuds is notable for its bright hue, reminiscent of the Playdate gaming handheld, suggesting a collaboration between the two companies.
This adds a playful and distinctive touch to the earbuds.
The Nothing Ear is expected to retail for €150, and the Ear (a) for €100. Prices in India might be significantly lower, making these earbuds a competitive option in the market.
Both models are rumoured to have IP54 water resistance, active noise cancellation, and extended battery life—up to 33 hours for the Ear and 38 hours for the Ear (a) with the charging case.
While official details are scarce until the April 18 launch, leaked renders and information suggest a continuation of Nothing’s transparent design ethos, exciting new colour options, and improved features.
