Nothing has officially announced the Nothing Drops, a pop-up store where customers will be able to purchase the recently launched Nothing Phone (2), newly launched Nothing Ear (2) black, and other Nothing products.

The company will be opening its store in India in Bengaluru at 7 PM IST.
The store will be located at Lulu Mall, Gopalapura. Apart from India, Nothing also has announced the launch of Nothing Drops in several cities across the world.

Nothing has unveiled ‘Nothing Drops’ around the world, meaning the first locations where you can buy Phone (2) and Ear (2) black in person. They will be starting from July 13 at the selected locations globally with exclusive perks and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Not only interest buyers can purchase Nothing latest items, but they can also experience the world of Nothing. There will be chances to meet the Nothing team, receive exclusive gifts, sample food and drink and feel a part of the Nothing Community.

Nothing Phone 2 was launched in India on July 11. The London-based company recently announced that the smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart.

While the pre-orders are already live on the e-commerce website, Nothing has also announced that people can purchase the smartphone offline as well. Not only the recently launched smartphone, the newly-launched Nothing Ear (2) Black colour option will also be up for grabs at Nothing Drops.

What are Nothing Drops?

Nothing Drops are pop-up stores and “mark the very first locations in the world where users can purchase Phone (2) and Ear (2) black in person. With exclusive perks.”

The smartphone and TWS earphones are available on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 13, the company said on its website.

Nothing has also listed the location of these pop-up stores and there is one in India as well. Nothing drop at Lulu Mall in Bengaluru will be set up and those interested can purchase the products on July 14 from 7 pm onwards.
A report said that customers can also buy Nothing Ear Stick, Nothing Power 45W charger and Nothing Phone 2 accessories as well.

Perks of purchasing from Nothing Drops

Nothing says that those who purchase products from pop-up stores will receive gifts, sample food and drink.

“Nothing Drops are more than the products. They are events in themselves. Around the world, there will be chances to meet the Nothing team, receive exclusive gifts, sample food and drink, and feel a part of the Nothing Community. But be quick. Once they’re gone, they’re gone,” the company said.

As per the information shared by Nothing on its website, at the Nothing Drops, customers will be able to get exclusive perks which will be available on a first come first serve basis starting July 13.

In a piece of related news, Nothing recently unveiled the Nothing Ear (2) (Review) in Black colour. This new colour TWS variant is priced at Rs 9,999 and it will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart and select retail stores from July 21.

For those who pre-ordered the Phone (2) they would get early access to the Ear (2) Black colour variant sale which was supposed to take place from July 11 to July 20. The Nothing Ear (2) comes equipped with an 11.6 mm custom driver and they also have Active Noise Cancellation support.

These earbuds also have a dual connection feature, water resistance, and press control support.

Each earbud packs a 33mAh battery, whereas the case ships with a 485mAh battery. With ANC off, users can get up to 36 hours of battery with the case and 6.3 hours with buds, whereas when ANC is turned on, the buds can deliver a battery life of 4 hours, and 22.5 hours with the case.

Nothing Drops is coming to the Silicon valley of India, Bengaluru on July 14, 2023 at 7 PM IST. It will be set up at Lulu Mall, Gopalapura, Binnipete, Bengaluru. The customers can buy Phone (2), Ear Black (2), Ear Stick, Power (45w), and Phone (2) accessories.

Nothing Phone (2) Design and Display

The Phone 2 presents a much more refined and premium design compared to its predecessor. The flagship version also gets a significant number of upgrades across the board that impresses both on paper and in hand.

Despite being slightly thicker on paper, the Phone 2 cleverly utilizes design elements that give it a perceived thinner profile when held in hand.

With a thickness of 8.5mm, the Phone 2 surpasses Phone 1’s 8.3mm measurement but achieves a visual effect through thoughtful design choices that make it appear thinner.

Contributing to the Phone 2’s perceived thinness is the reduction of the aluminium mid-frame on the sides.

By reducing it by 1mm, Nothing has managed to create an illusion of slenderness, resulting in a sleek and elegant feel when holding the device.

The 3D pillow glass at the back curves around the edges and instantly makes the phone look premium to look at.

The transparent design aesthetic, that we have previously seen in Nothing Buds and Nothing Phone 1, has now been extended to the Type-C cable bundled with the Nothing Phone 2.

The Type-C cable has a transparent middle part with Nothing branding inside. The Nothing Phone peripherals now adopting a similar design establishes the brand’s individualistic approach to positioning itself in the market.

Nothing Phone (2) Camera:

The Nothing Phone 2 will have a 50-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear. The primary lens has been upgraded to IMX890 from the previous IMX766 used in Phone 1.

The Ultra-Wide lens, on the other hand, is Samsung ISOCELL GN1. On the front, you get a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The front camera too has been upgraded to an IMX615, which is a 30 per cent larger sensor and can capture more light and field.

With Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip enabling camera processing, the Phone 2 gets an 18-bit ISP that captures over 4,000 times the camera data than the Phone 1’s 14-bit predecessor. 

The phone is bringing an advanced HDR to address the over-exposure of images when in direct sunlight. The advanced HDR breaks the image into 8 frames of different exposure and then stitches them back together to get the best results.

There is a significant upgrade here from the 3-frame break out that the usual Phone 1 HDR was capable of.

The Nothing Phone 2 seems to have also addressed the issues most camera face in capturing moving subjects. The brand is introducing Motion Capture 2.0 which intelligently detects moving objects to ensure distorting-free and noise-free final images.

It supports 4K recording at 60fps on the main rear camera. The main lens also has EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The front camera records at 1080p at 60fps.

The location of the pop-up store hasn’t been mentioned, though we expect Nothing to share additional details as we inch closer to July 13. For reference, Nothing is expected to unveil the Phone (2) on July 11, with the company’s marketing campaign already underway.
