Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto X70 Air in China on October 31. The smartphone is already available for pre-orders, which means fans now have an early look at its pricing, colour options, and hardware details. The device is widely expected to be a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge 70, which is scheduled to debut globally on November 5. Here’s what we know about the phone so far.
The Moto X70 Air is now up for pre-orders on Lenovo Mall and JD.com. It will be offered in two configurations, 12GB + 256GB priced at 2,599 Yuan (approximately $365) and 12GB + 512GB priced at 2,899 Yuan (around $410).
The phone will be available in three Pantone-validated colour options, which include Gadget Grey, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green.
The Moto X70 Air features a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (1,220 x 2,712 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 4,500 nits peak brightness. The Pantone-certified panel also includes SGS eye-care protection and an in-display fingerprint sensor for added convenience.
Under the hood, the device runs on Android 16 and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for smooth multitasking and fast app loading. To keep temperatures in check, Motorola has equipped it with a 3D vapor chamber cooling system.
In terms of battery, the phone packs a 4,800mAh unit that supports 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, offering both speed and flexibility.
For photography, the Moto X70 Air sports a 50MP Samsung S5KGNJ primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, OTG, and a USB Type-C port.
The device also boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to both dust and water. Despite its durability, the X70 Air stands out for its slim profile, measuring just 5.99mm thick and weighing around 159 grams.
As for its global counterpart, the Motorola Edge 70 is expected to launch in Europe with a price range between €710 and €810. This makes the device a premium mid-range offering in Motorola’s lineup.
