Here with not one, not two, but three new phones is Motorola with 2023 refreshes of its Edge+, Moto G, and Moto G Stylus handsets. The Edge+ is the most powerful (and expensive) of the new lineup with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 6.7-inch pOLED display, while the Moto G Stylus is the budget option and the Moto G Stylus (2023) offers a little more in terms of hardware.

We’ve got the details of all three phones for you after the break, including release dates and pricing.

Moto G 5G, Moto G Stylus 2023, and Motorola Edge+ 2023 phones have been launched globally. While the former two are budget models, the latter is a flagship offering that comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC.

The Moto G 5G and Moto G Stylus have the same 6.5-inch HD+ display with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout, dual camera sensors on the back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and a large 5,000mAh battery. The Motorola Edge+ 2023, on the other hand, comes with a 10-bit pOLED display, 68W fast charging support and Android 13 OS.

Moto G 5G, Moto G Stylus, and Motorola Edge+ Price

The Moto G 5G (2023) is priced at $249.99 (approx Rs 20,500) and comes in Ink Blue and Harbor Mist colours. The handset will be available in the U.S., Amazon.com and Motorola website starting from May 25th.

The Moto G stylus (2023) is priced at $199.99 (around Rs 16,400) and will be available in the U.S., Motorola website, and Amazon from May 5th. The Motorola Edge+ is priced at $799.99 (around Rs 65,500) and will be available in the U.S., Amazon.com and Motorola.com starting May 25th.

Moto Edge+ (2023)

First up is the Moto Edge+ (2023) with its aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor which is accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The 6.7-inch Endless Edge quad-curved display has an FHD+ resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The panel supports features such as HDR10+, Low Blue Light, Low Motion Blur, Amazon Prime, and YouTube HDR playback, as well as Dolby Vision. The fingerprint sensor is housed under the display.

Packing in a 5,100mAh battery, the Moto Edge+ (2023) supports 68W wired TurboPower charging as well as 15W wireless and 5W reverse wireless charging.

A trio of rear cameras consists of a 50MP main sensor with PDAF, OIS, and an f/1.8 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with 114° FoV and Macro photography duties, and finally, a 12MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom. The front camera is housed in a central punch-hole on the display and sports 60 megapixels.

Available only in the Interstellar Black colorway, the Moto Edge+ (2023) will cost a rather reasonable $799 when it goes on sale. For the moment, Motorola hasn’t revealed a release date but we’ll update the article when a date is announced.

Moto G Stylus (2023)

The Moto G (2023) has MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset providing the grunt along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The 6.5-inch IPS display sports HD+ resolution (1600 x 720), a 90Hz refresh rate, and 20:9 aspect ratio.

Notable features include support for MicroSD cards and the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack. As is often the case with affordable Motorola phones, NFC is sadly lacking which means you won’t be using the Moto G Stylus (2023) for mobile payments. 5G connectivity is also omitted.

A duo of rear cameras includes a 50MP main sensor with Quad Pixel technology and a 2MP lens for macro photography. An 8MP front-facing camera is housed in the central punch-hole on the display.

As for the stylus, you can use it to take notes without unlocking your phone if needed, sign documents, highlight, edit, and other tasks that require pin-point accuracy. Once you’ve finished using it you can slip it back in to the internal storage space.

A 5,000mAh battery keeps the lights on with support for 15W charging. You’ll be glad to learn that Motorola is including a 15W charger in the box. Finally, the new Stylus runs Android 13 out of the box.

The Moto G Stylus (2023) will be on sale from May 5 at Motorola and other retailers and carriers in the coming weeks for $199.

Moto G 5G (2023)

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480+ processor, the Moto G also features 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB cards). Its 6.5-inch LCD display has HD+ resolution (1600 x 720) and surprising for such a low-res panel, a 120Hz refresh rate.

A 48MP main sensor with Quad Pixel technology is present on the rear, as is a 2MP macro lens while there’s an 8MP front-facing camera housing in the punch-hole on the display.
Just like the Moto G Stylus (2023), the Moto G (2023) has a 5,000mAh battery and 15W wired charging. Similarly, there is also a 3.5mm audio and the same lack of NFC which means you won’t be using the phone for mobile payments.

The Moto G (2023) goes on sale on Motorola’s website and other online retailers and prepaid carriers on May 25th for $199.
