Microsoft has made AI more accessible by introducing its Copilot assistant to regional languages in India.
As many would know that English is only a secondary language for most people and this move has aimed to bridge the technology gap for non-English speakers.
Speaking on the incorporation of regional languages in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Pavan Kumar Verma, the Regional Business Head of MWP at Embee Software (Microsoft LSP partner in India), said: Through the integration of regional languages, we are rendering technology more inclusive and reachable. Our aim is to guarantee that everyone, irrespective of their language, can reap the benefits of AI progress. Language should not stand as a hindrance to learning or accessing technology. Microsoft 365 Copilot is dismantling these obstacles and nurturing a more inclusive digital environment.
Copilot now supports some of the most widely spoken Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu.
Users will be able to interact with the AI in their own language, lowering the hurdles to adopting modern technology and the burden of only communicating in English.
