Meta is expanding the testing of its Verified for Business program to more countries and platforms.
The service, which initially launched last year in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, aims to help small businesses build credibility and drive engagement with new audiences.
There is no word right now on when this will arrive to the Indian markets.
During the initial testing phase, Meta noticed that small businesses were seeking additional tools to establish credibility and build brand growth.
This insight prompted the decision to broaden the availability of Verified for Business.
Starting last week, the Verified for Business program became accessible to businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
The service will also be released soon in Argentina, Chile, France, Italy, Mexico, and Peru.
In addition to Facebook and Instagram, Meta has stated its intention to bring Verified for Business to WhatsApp, though no specific timeline was provided.
This will mark the third social network to offer the program.
To cater to a wider range of business needs, Meta has introduced multiple subscription plan options for Verified for Business.
Previously, there was only one plan available.
As of last week, businesses in eligible countries can choose from monthly plans priced at $14.99, $44.99, $119.99, and $349.99.
