Apple To Manufacture Entire iPhone 17 Lineup, Including Pro and Pro Max, In India

0

Highlights

  • Apple will manufacture all iPhone 17 models including Pro and Pro Max in India.
  • Production will span five facilities including new Tata and Foxconn plants, with India-made units exported to the US.
  • India has reportedly overtaken China as the top smartphone supplier to the US, exporting $7.5B worth of iPhones in just four months.

It has been previously confirmed that Apple is expanding its iPhone manufacturing operations in India with the upcoming iPhone 17. Now, new reports suggest a significant leap for iPhone production in the country. According to Bloomberg, the Cupertino Giant will produce not just the regular iPhone 17 and the newly introduced iPhone 17 Air, but also the high-end iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in India.

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max made in India

As part of a broader effort to reduce its heavy reliance on China, Apple is relocating the assembly of its premium Pro and Pro Max models to India. The ‘assembled in India’ iPhone 17 units will be exported to Apple’s key market in the United States. Manufacturing will take place across five facilities, including two newly established plants.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to showcase Apple’s top-tier innovations. It includes a new 48MP telephoto camera for improved zoom, the faster A19 Pro chip, Apple Intelligence features, and a lighter aluminium alloy frame.

The standard iPhone 17 is also set to receive a 120Hz display and the new A19 chipset. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air will replace the outgoing ‘Plus’ model, offering a slim 5.5mm body, a single rear camera, the A19 chip, and a 120Hz display. All iPhone 17 models will come with a new 24MP front camera.

Apple iPhone Production Plans

Apple’s expanded production effort strengthens its partnership with the Tata Group, already a key player in Apple’s domestic manufacturing plans. Tata’s new plant in Tamil Nadu, along with Foxconn’s expanded facility in Bengaluru, will be central to the rollout. Reports suggest Tata-run plants could account for up to half of India’s iPhone production within the next two years, underscoring Apple’s rapid manufacturing growth in the country.

The shift from China is largely driven by growing geopolitical tensions and trade tariffs. While tariffs on Chinese imports have posed challenges, Apple has been spared from similar issues in India. Although the Trump administration recently imposed tariffs of up to 50 per cent on Indian goods, electronic products like the iPhone remain exempt. Apple CEO Tim Cook’s commitment of $600 billion in US investments over the next four years is also viewed as crucial to keeping India-made iPhones tariff-free.

The results of this shift are already showing.

Between April and July, India exported $7.5 billion worth of iPhones, almost half of the $17 billion exported during the entire previous fiscal year. A Canalys report further highlights India’s rise, stating that the country has now overtaken China as the leading supplier of smartphones to the US.

FAQs

Answer. Yes, Apple will manufacture the entire iPhone 17 lineup including the Pro and Pro Max models in India for the first time. These devices will be assembled across five facilities and exported to the United States.

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Unboxing

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Design

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Design

The Realme P4 Pro 5G is a premium-looking phone, right from its first reveal. The colour variant we had for this review was Birch Wood, and honestly, it looks unlike most phones out there. The back has this tech wood material with a smooth matte finish. It has a unique vibe that feels premium in hand yet subtle at the same time. The matte wood finish also keeps fingerprints and smudges away. So, the phone stays looking clean without constant wiping.

The phone feels ultra-slim and really easy to carry. The 4D Curve+ display also helps the phone sit comfortably in the hand without sharp edges digging in. It is 7.69mm thick and weighs 189g.

The camera module has a glass fibre finish and runs across the top section of the back. It houses three lenses and a flash in neatly cut slots. Thankfully, this camera module doesn’t stick out awkwardly. Even when placed on a flat surface, the phone doesn’t wobble much.

What is most impressive is the solid build quality, even with polycarbonate material. It has IP65 and IP66 dust and water resistance. Realme has made this device completely dust-tight and it can also handle low-pressure water jets.  This means everyday splashes, heavy rain, or even a bit of waterfall spray won’t bother it. There is also the 360° dust-proof and splash-proof protection that makes the phone a lot more robust.

Overall, the design is thoughtful. In everyday use, the Realme P4 Pro 5G feels stylish, lightweight and comfortable to hold.

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Display

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Display

The Realme P4 Pro 5G really shines when it comes to the display. You get a 6.8-inch 144Hz HyperGlow AMOLED 4D Curved Display with 1.5K resolution. It has uniformly narrow bezels that make the screen look almost edge-to-edge and offer an immersive experience. The display looks vibrant and the clarity feels cinema-level.

It supports 120FPS for everyday use. This makes the visuals are super smooth and seamless whether you’re watching sports or racing events. Realme also added HDR10+ certification, so movies and shows look brighter and more detailed.

The brand’s claim is that this is the first display in its segment to offer both 1.5K + 120FPS high-spec streaming and 1.5K + 144FPS performance in BGMI, plus support for over 100 games at 144FPS. That’s basically PC-level smoothness on a phone.

Brightness is another strong point of P4 Pro. It hits 1000 nits typical, 1800 nits in HBM and peaks at a massive 6500 nits. We extensively used the phone outdoors in bright daylight and visibility is no issue at all. Colours also look fantastic. The phone has 100% DCI-P3 coverage and 1.07 billion colours support, which is on par with professional monitors.

On top of that, the display is easy on the eyes. It comes with hardware-level low-blue light protection and is TÜV Rheinland certified. Both of which help reduce strain during long use.

Overall, the curved display is streaming and gaming ready.

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Performance

Realme P4 Pro 5G – Performance

The Realme P4 Pro 5G comes with a dual-chip setup combining the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with the Hyper Vision AI Chip. This is the first P-series device to feature a dedicated graphics chip. And it does make a difference when it comes to performance. It gives you a premium visual upgrade for both videos and games. The phone feels smoother, sharper, and more responsive, whether scrolling, streaming or gaming.

Speaking of gaming, Realme has gone all out. We discussed above in the display section that the P4 Pro supports cinema-level 120FPS display performance for smooth visuals. But it doesn’t stop there. It’s also the first in its segment to achieve concurrent 1.5K + 144FPS operation in BGMI, delivering PC-level speed on a phone. The gameplay experience is fast, fluid, and immersive with support for over a hundred games at 144FPS.

This phone includes an AI Gaming Coach for BGMI. This tool acts like a tactical assistant during matches, offering Smart Danger Alerts to warn you about footsteps, gunfire, or incoming damage. It also provides in-game status updates, keeping track of teammate health, equipment durability, zone shifts and more. We tried multiple sessions of BGMI, and all the extra boosts really help us stay one step ahead in the game.

We also tested the Realme P4 Pro 5G on leading benchmark platforms and it scored quite well. Here are some benchmarking results for reference –

The phone also has a good heat management system as we didn’t face any heating issues even during long gaming sessions or general multitasking. It features the largest VC cooling system in its class, which is a massive 7000mm² AirFlow VC with ultra-thermal conductive graphite. It uses an advanced internal air chamber structure that covers 57% of the phone’s surface and also dissipates heat efficiently through hot and cold air convection.

This can reduce CPU core temperature by up to 20℃ and ensure a stable performance during extended gaming or multitasking.

The P4 Pro also shines in everyday use with AI-powered productivity features like AI Recording Summary, AI Smart Loop, and Circle to Search. The phone runs on realme UI 6.0 out of the box. Although it comes with a bunch of pre-installed apps, the UI is otherwise user-friendly. Realme promises 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches, giving the phone long-lasting value.

Camera Performance

Camera Performance

The Realme P4 Pro 5G camera setup checks all the right boxes. The 50MP front and rear AI cameras that offer a good base for photography. On the back, it has the 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and on the front, the 50MP OV50D camera is a game-changer.

We found the camera performance to be flagship-grade in most scenarios. The main rear sensor delivers good dynamic range and true-to-life colour reproduction. The shots look natural and vibrant. The camera performs doesn’t take a hit even in low lighting. The night shots come out crisp with reduced motion blur. The camera system has improved light sensitivity, which allows brighter images with finer details even in shadow-heavy environments.

Portraits also get a boost with a more defined bokeh effect that separates the subject cleanly from the background. The phone isn’t equipped for elaborate wide and close-up shots, but it does a decent job. You cannot expect a pro-level performance in that aspect.

As for the front camera, the shots are sharp and it captures better skin tone accuracy. It is good for enhanced group selfies to ensure everyone stays in focus.

The phone has Hypershot Architecture to offer zero shutter lag, faster autofocus lock and a fast shooting speed. It is noticeable when you take action shots, moving subjects or candid moments. These are captured without much hassle.

For video recordings, the phone supports 4K at 60FPS on both front and rear. We captured videos in different lighting and the result is quite impressive. It produces sharp and bright videos while the OIS functions help in keeping the motion in check. It is decent for vlogging or content creation.

Realme P4 Pro 5G Camera Night Video

Post-processing is also a strong point in this phone. Realme’s AI suite has AI Edit Genie, AI Eraser, AI Unblur and AI Remove Reflections features. These tools are easy to use and can help in fine-tuning images with ease.

Battery Performance

Battery Performance

The Realme P4 Pro 5G packs a massive 7000mAh Titan battery, which is impressive for a phone that feels so slim and lightweight. We have used the phone as our main device for over a week and this battery easily lasts beyond a full day. Even after heavy usage, the phone mostly has at least 40 per cent of the battery still left by bedtime.

When it comes to charging, P4 Pro supports 80W Ultra Charge and you get the adapter in the box. A quick 5-minute top-up gives up to 3 hours of streaming power. We got over 50% charge from under 10 % charge in about 25 minutes.

There’s also 10W reverse fast charging along with features like Bypass Charging and AI Smart Charging. Since the phone is aimed at gamers, Bypass charging is a useful feature. It does help in keeping the battery from heating up during long gaming sessions. Meanwhile, AI Smart Charging ensure the battery adapts to user habits.

Verdict – Should You Buy Realme P4 Pro 5G?

Verdict – Should You Buy Realme P4 Pro 5G?

The Realme P4 Pro 5G is a well-rounded, feature-packed mid-range phone. The 1.5K 144FPS curved display along with a wood-like matte finish back makes it feel premium instantly. The phone has dual-chip power featuring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and a Hyper Vision AI Chip, making it a good choice for gamers and multitaskers. We do think that the camera could have been more versatile, but the phone captures good pictures even in challenging conditions nonetheless. The highlight is the 7000mAh battery that supports 80W charging. If you are a heavy smartphone user, this should easily seal the deal when you are looking for a mid-range device. And the good thing is this powerful battery isn’t evident in the size or compactness of the phone.

If you want a phone that balances performance and battery life without cutting corners, the Realme P4 Pro 5G is a phone worth considering.

OpenAI has launched a new subscription tier in India called ChatGPT Go, priced at Rs 399 per month. This India-exclusive plan can be purchased using UPI, making it easier for millions of users who depend on the digital payment method for daily transactions.

This marks the first time OpenAI has introduced a country-specific subscription plan. Until now, Indian users could only access the free version, Plus, or Pro tiers. The new Go plan is designed to make advanced AI tools more accessible at a lower cost, keeping in mind India’s growing scale of usage.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go – Benefits

image
New ChatGPT Go plan is now available in India.

At just Rs 399 per month, ChatGPT Go is significantly cheaper than the Plus plan, which costs Rs 1,999. It offers higher limits on popular features including 10x more message capacity, daily image generations, and file uploads, along with double the memory length for personalised interactions.

The plan runs on GPT-5, OpenAI’s latest model with improved support for Indic languages.

A key highlight of this plan is UPI support. Until now, subscriptions could only be purchased using debit or credit cards, which excluded a large section of users. With UPI enabled for the first time across any ChatGPT subscription globally, OpenAI aims to simplify the process for Indian users.

Meanwhile, other popular Indian payment methods will also be accepted.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go – Availability

The ChatGPT Go plan is available starting today via the ChatGPT website and mobile app. Users can upgrade, choose Go and pay through UPI or other supported methods.

Currently, all ChatGPT subscriptions including Go, are limited to monthly billing with no annual option. Rollout is happening in phases, so users who don’t see the Go plan yet are advised to check back later.

Who Should Choose ChatGPT Go?

OpenAI says the Go plan is ideal for students, creators, and professionals who need more than the free version but don’t require the advanced capacity of Plus or Pro.

It’s aimed at users who draft content, solve problems, or create visuals regularly and want affordability with higher usage limits. These include image generation, extended file uploads, advanced data analysis tools like Python, and longer memory windows for better continuity.

India is now OpenAI’s second-largest market for ChatGPT. With this launch, Indian users now have three subscription options –

  • ChatGPT Plus (Rs 1,999/month) – For heavy users who need faster responses, priority access, and higher limits.
  • ChatGPT Pro (Rs 19,900/month) – For enterprises and professionals requiring advanced models, scale, and customisation.

WhatsApp has rolled out a major update that brings new features to its calling experience including the ability to schedule calls. The new “Schedule Calls” option is available for both individual and group chats, letting users plan conversations in advance without relying on external reminders. Here’s everything you need to know about the new feature.

How WhatsApp’s Schedule Call Will Help Users?

With scheduling built into WhatsApp, there’s no need to send separate reminders for group calls. Invitations can be sent directly from the scheduling interface with calls listed under the Calls tab. Participants receive timely alerts, and users are notified when someone joins via a shared link.

WhatsApp has added supporting features such as emoji reactions and a “raise hand” option, tools that have already proven popular on platforms like Google Meet and Zoom.

WhatsApp aims to position itself as a stronger alternative for both casual and professional calls by combining these with its large user base.

WhatsApp also noted that its updated interface is designed to make call management simpler. According to the company, the new features are built for both personal and work-related use, whether it’s planning family conversations or organising team meetings.

How WhatsApp’s Schedule Call Feature Works?

The feature can be found in the Calls tab. By tapping the plus (+) button and selecting “Schedule Call,” users can set up a call at a preferred time. Once scheduled, participants automatically receive notifications before the call begins, ensuring everyone is aware of the planned conversation.

Similar to Zoom’s meeting scheduler, WhatsApp’s new update also allows users to advance plan for one-on-one or group calls.

The feature also integrates with Google Calendar, enabling users to sync calls for better tracking and management.

FAQs

Q1. What is WhatsApp’s new call scheduling feature and how does it work?

Answer. WhatsApp now allows users to schedule calls directly from the Calls tab. By tapping the plus (+) icon and selecting “Schedule Call,” users can set a preferred time for one-on-one or group calls. Participants receive automatic notifications before the call begins, ensuring everyone is prepared.

Q2. Can WhatsApp scheduled calls be synced with other calendar apps?

Answer. Yes, the feature integrates with Google Calendar, allowing users to sync scheduled calls for better tracking and management, similar to how Zoom handles meeting invites.

Q3. What other enhancements has WhatsApp added to improve the calling experience?

Answer. WhatsApp has introduced emoji reactions and a “raise hand” option during calls, making group interactions more dynamic. These additions, along with a redesigned interface, aim to make WhatsApp more suitable for both personal and professional use.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will soon debut with four flagship models. According to reports, it has already been revealed that most of the upcoming iPhones are expected to see higher prices. But Apple apparently isn’t leaving the budget customers behind. It seems buyers looking for a more affordable option will have the iPhone 17e as a perfect choice. Now, a new leak suggests the phone may feature some impressive upgrades over the predecessor 16e.

iPhone 17e – Key Upgrades (Leaked)

After introducing the iPhone 16e as the successor to its SE series earlier this year, reports indicate Apple plans to release a new ‘e’ model each year. The affordable “e” model of the iPhone series will most likely launch a few months after the flagship iPhones.

Moreover, most of the iPhone 17e’s specs appear consistent with the iPhone 16e. Expected features include a 6.1-inch OLED display, 12MP front camera, 48MP single rear camera, and Face ID support.

As for launch, the iPhone 17e is expected in early 2026. And we now have an early look at possible improvements thanks to leaker Digital Chat Station. Three upgrades that stand out are Dynamic Island, A19 chip and Design changes.

The addition of the Dynamic Island is a notable shift. The iPhone 17e may adopt Apple’s newer display cutout earlier than expected unlike the iPhone 16e. The current phone is stuck with the older notch design,

The inclusion of the A19 chip follows Apple’s recent pattern. Just as the iPhone 16e shipped with the A18, the iPhone 17e is expected to carry the next-gen processor debuting in the flagship iPhone 17 series this fall.

As for the “design change” mentioned in the leak, details remain unclear. It could simply refer to the introduction of the Dynamic Island as a major visual update, or Apple may be planning additional changes to the device’s overall design.

FAQs

Q1. What is the iPhone 17e and when will it launch?

Answer. The iPhone 17e is Apple’s upcoming affordable model in the iPhone 17 lineup, expected to launch in early 2026, several months after the flagship variants.

Q2. What are the key upgrades in the iPhone 17e compared to the iPhone 16e?

Answer. Leaks suggest the iPhone 17e will feature three major upgrades, Dynamic Island display cutout (replacing the older notch), Next-gen A19 chip and Design changes.

Q3. Will the iPhone 17e retain the same core specs as the iPhone 16e?

Answer. Yes, most core specs are expected to remain unchanged, including a 6.1-inch OLED display, 48MP rear camera, 12MP front camera, and Face ID support.

Galaxy Tab S10 Lite Leak Reveals Specs, Design Tweaks and A Bold New Colour Variant

0

Highlights

  • The Tab S10 Lite features a 10.9″ 90Hz LCD, Exynos 1380 chip, 6GB/8GB RAM, and 8,000mAh battery. Charging drops to 25W, but Samsung promises 7 years of updates.
  • Leaked renders show larger bezels, magnetically attached S Pen and a bold new Coral Red finish.
  • It will be available in Wi-Fi and 5G models with prices ranging from €399.99 to €529.99.

Reports suggest Samsung’s upcoming tablet lineup is shaping up differently this year. Alongside two new flagship models, the company is reportedly preparing to launch a mid-range Galaxy Tab S10 Lite ahead of the holiday season.

Now, fresh leaks from WinFuture reveal renders and specs that suggest a familiar device with a few notable changes and a striking new Coral Red colour option. Here’s everything we know so far.

Galaxy Tab S10 Lite – Key Specs (Rumoured)

Spec-wise, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite seems very similar to 2022’s Galaxy Tab S9 FE. It features a 10.9-inch 90Hz LCD display, stereo speakers, and an 8,000mAh battery. Buyers will get options of 6GB or 8GB RAM. And the tablet runs on Samsung’s mid-range 5nm Exynos 1380 chip, the same processor used in the Tab S9 FE, rather than the more powerful Exynos 1580 powering this year’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE.

But the S10 Lite does introduce some differences. Camera hardware sees a shift with an 8MP rear sensor and a 5MP front-facing one. Charging speeds, however, drop from 45W on the Tab S9 FE to 25W on the S10 Lite.

A key improvement is Samsung’s promise of seven years of Android and security updates, up from the four to five years offered with the Tab S9 FE.

The next big change can be in design.

Galaxy Tab S10 Lite – Design (Leaked)

image image image image

According to the leaked images, the device appears to be sporting larger bezels and a slightly lower resolution at 2112 x 1320, hinting at a different panel that may also offer reduced peak brightness.

Interestingly, while the magnetic strip for the bundled S Pen is no longer visible, the stylus still attaches magnetically near the camera, suggesting the change is cosmetic rather than functional.

The leaked images also reveal an eye-catching Coral Red finish, which isn’t a colour we have seen in recent Samsung tablets.

In terms of size and feel, the new tablet measures 6.6mm thick and weighs 524 grams, nearly identical to its predecessor.

Galaxy Tab S10 Lite – Price and Variants (Leaked)

According to WinFuture‘s report, Samsung plans to offer both Wi-Fi-only and 5G versions of the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. The European pricing revealed stands as follows –

  • 6GB + 128GB (Wi-Fi) – €399.99 (~$467)
  • 8GB + 256GB (Wi-Fi) – €469.99 (~$550)
  • 6GB + 128GB (5G) – €459.99 (~$537)
  • 8GB + 256GB (5G) – €529.99 (~$620)

FAQs

Q1. What are the key specs of the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite?

Answer. The Tab S10 Lite is expected to feature a 10.9-inch 90Hz LCD display, Exynos 1380 chipset, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and an 8,000mAh battery. It includes stereo speakers, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. Charging speed is capped at 25W.

Q2. What design changes are coming with the Tab S10 Lite?

Answer. Leaked renders show larger bezels, a slightly lower resolution (2112 × 1320), and a new Coral Red colour variant. The magnetic S Pen strip is missing, but the stylus still attaches magnetically near the camera.

Q3. How much will the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite cost?

Apple May Skip iPhone 18 in 2026 to Launch First Foldable iPhone: Report

0

Highlights

  • Apple may skip the standard iPhone 18 in 2026, launching its first foldable iPhone instead.
  • iPhone 18 lineup will be staggered with iPhone 18 Air, Pro and Pro Max arriving in September 2026, while the base iPhone 18 and 18e are delayed to early 2027.
  • iPhone 17 series features the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air and budget-friendly iPhone 17e with Dynamic Island and 3D Face Recognition.

Apple typically unveils its next-generation iPhones every September, but the iPhone 17 series is reportedly scheduled to launch earlier than usual. In the meantime, a new report suggests a major shake-up in Apple’s roadmap for 2026. According to the Korean publication ETNews, Apple may skip the standard iPhone 18 next year and instead debut its first foldable iPhone. Here’s what we know.

iPhone 18 Series Launch Plans

The Korean report claims Apple plans to shift its focus to foldables while still bringing five new models under the iPhone 18 lineup, though some will launch later. Apple is expected to introduce the affordable iPhone 17e in the first half of 2026, followed by a premium lineup in the second half.

As per the report, Apple will unveil the iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026, alongside the foldable iPhone. The standard iPhone 18 and budget-friendly iPhone 18e will reportedly be delayed until early 2027.

Pricing details suggest that Apple’s first foldable iPhone could start at around $1,999 (approx. ₹1,75,000), directly competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, which launched last month at the same price.

Analysts believe this new strategy reflects Apple’s attempt to address slowing smartphone sales. While the company recently sold its 3 billionth iPhone, shipment numbers have shown a decline. By staggering launches across the year, Apple aims to maintain consumer attention and potentially boost sales.

For now, Apple is preparing for the iPhone 17 series launch next month. Reports suggest the company will drop the Plus model and instead introduce the iPhone 17 Air, its slimmest iPhone yet at just 5.5mm thick and weighing around 149 grams.

Leaks also hint at the arrival of the budget-friendly iPhone 17e expected in May 2026. The device will succeed the iPhone 16e released earlier this year in February. It is rumoured to feature the same 6.1-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate as its predecessor but will include upgrades such as a Dynamic Island design and support for 3D Face Recognition.

FAQs

Q1. Will Apple launch the iPhone 18 series in 2026?

Answer. Yes, but with a twist. Apple is expected to release select iPhone 18 models, Air, Pro, and Pro Max, in September 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 and budget-friendly iPhone 18e may be delayed until early 2027.

Q2. Is Apple releasing a foldable iPhone?

Answer. Yes. According to reports, Apple plans to debut its first foldable iPhone in 2026, priced around $1,999, directly competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Q3. What’s new in the upcoming iPhone 17 series?

Answer. The iPhone 17 series will feature the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air (just 5.5mm thick) and a budget iPhone 17e with upgrades like Dynamic Island and 3D Face Recognition, expected to launch in May 2026.
