Google’s Pixel 10 Series has just been launched and seems the tech giant this time has come prepared to take on competition. What we mean is, Google has decided to simply the process of switching from an iPhone to a Pixel phone for those who are interested.

iPhone users moving to Android has been a topic of discussion amongst the users for a while now. While tools already exist to simplify the iOS-to-Android transition, many users still find the process frustrating.

Switching to a new phone in itself can often feel overwhelming, especially if your data is deeply integrated into your current phone.

Interestingly, Google’s Android Switch app on iOS has long been designed to ease this shift. However, the company has now taken it a step further with Pixel 10.

Google Simplifies the iPhone-to-Pixel 10 Switch

For anyone pre-ordering or buying a Pixel 10 directly from the Google Store, Google will send a preparatory email to help get iPhone data ready for transfer. This setup includes items like iOS passwords, wallet content, and app data, even before the new phone arrives.

Meanwhile, support will continue with contextual guidance once users unbox their Pixel 10.

New Android users will see on-screen tips for everyday functions such as taking a screenshot or powering off the device. While not entirely new, these prompts can help ease the adjustment for those leaving iOS behind.

My Pixel App Update

Adding to this, the updated My Pixel app integrates with these tools to help users settle in faster, making the transition as stress-free as possible. Pixel 10 owners can also stay connected through RCS in Google Messages, ensuring seamless communication with friends and family regardless of what phone they use.

Ultimately, it’s up to Google to persuade iPhone owners to make the leap. But with Pixel 10, the company is offering perhaps the easiest way out from Apple’s ecosystem yet.

Google has also introduced an on-device, AI-powered support agent. It provides instant assistance and troubleshooting, and if needed, can escalate users directly to a live support representative.

FAQs

Q1. How is Google making it easier to switch from iPhone to Pixel 10?

Answer. Google now sends a pre-arrival email to Pixel 10 buyers that helps prepare iPhone data like passwords, wallet content, and app info for transfer. This streamlines the setup before the new device even arrives.

Q2. What support does Pixel 10 offer for users new to Android?

Answer. Pixel 10 provides on-screen tips for everyday tasks like taking screenshots or powering off the device. The updated My Pixel app also integrates onboarding tools to make the transition smoother and less stressful.

Q3. Does Pixel 10 include any AI-powered assistance?

Answer. Yes, Pixel 10 features an on-device AI support agent that offers instant help and troubleshooting. If needed, it can escalate issues directly to a live support representative.

The new CPU is 34% faster, while the TPU is up to 60% more powerful, allowing the series to handle 20 on-device generative AI features at launch. Google has also enhanced the ISP for better photos and videos, making imaging performance one of the strongest upgrades this year.

HMD Global has unveiled the HMD Fuse, its latest smartphone designed specifically for children. According to the company, it is the world’s first phone that can stop children from filming or sending nude content. It also prevents user from viewing or saving nude or sexual images even during livestreams through HarmBlock+ with HarmBlock AI from SafeToNet.

The device aims to address growing concerns among parents about online safety, especially as issues like cyberbullying and harmful digital exposure continue to rise.

The development of the HMD Fuse was guided by “The Better Phone Project,” an HMD initiative that gathered feedback from over 37,000 parents and children. Insights showed demand for a smartphone that could strike a balance between safety and functionality, as many existing solutions were either too restrictive or too vulnerable to online risks.

“This is more than a product,” said James Robinson, vice president of HMD Family. “It’s a safety net, a statement of intent and a response.”

HMD Fuse – Pricing and Availability

The HMD Fuse is available in a single Noir colour option. It has launched in the UK exclusively through Vodafone UK, priced at £33 per month (with an upfront cost of £30).

The smartphone will be available both in Vodafone retail stores and online via vodafone.co.uk/family.

HMD Fuse – Core Technology and Features

At the heart of the HMD Fuse is HarmBlock+, an AI-powered safety system built directly into the phone’s operating system, making it tamper-proof and impossible for users to bypass.

Key highlights of HarmBlock+ include –

  • On-Device AI -The HarmBlock AI works locally on the phone, operating offline across all apps, camera functions, websites, and messages.
  • Privacy-Focused – Since all processing happens on-device, no photos, videos, or browsing history are shared externally.
  • Content Blocking – Trained on over 22 million images, the AI automatically detects and blocks nude content, stopping it from being captured, displayed, or transmitted.

“HarmBlock Plus can’t be removed, tricked, or worked around,” said SafeToNet founder Richard Pursey. “It doesn’t collect personal data. It just protects every time, across every app, including VPNs, with zero loopholes.”

Parental Controls and Adaptable Design

The HMD Fuse also features an extensive parental control system that allows for:

  • App Management – Parents can approve or block apps, set daily usage limits, and schedule screen-free times (e.g., bedtime or study hours).
  • Location Tracking – Includes real-time tracking, location history, and safe-zone alerts.
  • Communication Safety – Parents can whitelist approved contacts for calls and messages.

The phone is designed to grow with the child. Parents can initially configure it as a simple phone limited to calls, texts, and location tracking, then gradually enable more features, like music apps, controlled web access, and messaging as the child matures.

In terms of design, the HMD Fuse shares specifications with the HMD Fusion and comes with two interchangeable “outfits,” one of which features a foldable LED light ring around the camera for selfies.

Motorola is set to launch a new pair of true wireless earbuds, the Moto Buds Loop, in India soon. Unlike typical TWS models, these earbuds feature an open-ear design paired with Swarovski stones for a touch of style.

Moto Buds Loop With Swarovski Stones

Motorola recently teased the Moto Buds Loop in a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter).

The earbuds first made their debut earlier this year in April and were later launched in North American market in July. These earbuds come with 12mm ironless drivers, spatial sound support, and an open-ear form factor. In terms of battery life, the earbuds offer up to 8 hours of playback, which extends to 37 hours with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge delivers up to 3 hours of listening time.

Beyond performance, design is another standout factor. Motorola has collaborated with Swarovski to add its signature crystals to the earbuds. At launch, the Moto Buds Loop was introduced in two colour options, Trekking Green and French Oak (with Swarovski crystals). Both versions come with water-resistant bodies for added durability.

Other expected features include Moto AI-powered voice commands, Smart Connect for seamless device switching, and CrystalTalk AI for enhanced call clarity.

As for pricing, Motorola hasn’t announced an official India launch date and pricing yet. However, reports suggest the earbuds could be introduced globally at a starting price of 300 US Dollars and the domestic price could be somewhere around that. We will have to wait for official details to come out to know more.

Answer. The Moto Buds Loop feature an open-ear design and are embellished with Swarovski crystals, offering both style and comfort. They also support spatial sound and include AI-powered features like voice commands and CrystalTalk for clearer calls.

Q2. How long does the battery last on the Moto Buds Loop?

Answer. The earbuds provide up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge, and up to 37 hours with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge delivers around 3 hours of listening time.
