Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air is expected to launch soon. It will introduce a new ultra-slim design that sacrifices some rear camera and battery capabilities to deliver a sleeker form factor within the iPhone 17 lineup.

Despite its slimmer build, the iPhone 17 Air could still ship with high-end internal storage options thanks to multiple suppliers. According to a supply chain analysis allegedly compiled by Citigroup and shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Jukanlosreve, Apple has reportedly added SanDisk and Kioxia to its list of storage providers, alongside existing partners Samsung and SK Hynix.

The leaked spreadsheet indicates that Kioxia holds the largest share of iPhone 17 Air storage supply orders at 35%, followed by SK Hynix with 30%, SanDisk at 20%, and Samsung with the remaining 15%.

However, storage options may vary. According to another now-deleted post by @Jukanlosreve, some NAND chips could be limited to just 128GB with higher configurations of 256GB and 512GB also available. The 1TB option will reportedly remain exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, consistent with Apple’s previous strategy.

For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB model) still carries a hefty price tag of $1,400 on Amazon, even in Renewed Premium condition, highlighting the premium Apple continues to command for its top-tier storage options.

AirPods Pro 3 Tipped to Launch This Week at Apple Event, Reveals Kuo

0

Highlights

  • Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that AirPods Pro 3 may debut this week at Apple’s event, ahead of earlier predictions for a 2026 release.
  • Rumoured upgrades include heart rate monitoring, Apple’s H3 audio chip, improved noise cancellation, and a smaller charging case.
  • Apple plans a 2026 update with infrared camera tech for gesture control and enhanced spatial audio, especially when paired with Vision Pro.

Apple’s “Awe dropping” event is set for tomorrow and it looks like the company has more in store than just the iPhone 17 series. According to renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the long-awaited AirPods Pro 3 could also debut at the event, much earlier than previously expected. Here’s what we know so far.

AirPods Pro 3 Launch Timeline

image

Caption – AirPods Pro 2 for reference. (Image credit – Apple)

Kuo had earlier predicted that Apple wouldn’t release the AirPods Pro 3 until 2026. However, in his latest note, he claims the earbuds are “ready to go” and will be introduced next week alongside Apple’s new iPhones. This update lines up with reports from other sources including Bloomberg, suggesting the AirPods Pro 3 are imminent.

Kuo also revealed that Apple is planning another update to the Pro lineup next year as it continues work on AirPods with built-in cameras. Bloomberg has previously detailed Apple’s efforts in this area.

Kuo writes, “Apple is expected to launch AirPods Pro 3 in 2H25, while a more significant hardware upgrade with the IR camera-equipped model is anticipated in 2026.”

Expected Features of AirPods Pro 3

image

The AirPods Pro 3 are rumoured to bring several health and performance upgrades. A key addition could be a heart rate monitoring sensor, similar to the one found in Powerbeats Pro 2. The earbuds are also expected to include Apple’s new H3 audio chip, which should deliver better sound quality and stronger connectivity. Reports also suggest a slightly smaller charging case.

Beyond this, users can look forward to enhanced active noise cancellation, design refinements, and other incremental improvements.

The AirPods Pro 2 made their debut in September 2022 alongside the iPhone 14 lineup. Apple refreshed them in September 2023 with a USB-C charging case and minor upgrades. If AirPods Pro 3 launch this week, it will mark a three-year gap between generations.

Interestingly, the wait for the AirPods Pro 4 could be much shorter. Kuo says Apple plans to update the earbuds again in 2026 with a “more significant” hardware refresh, introducing at least one infrared camera.

These IR-equipped AirPods are expected to recognise hand gestures and improve spatial audio experiences, especially when paired with Apple’s Vision Pro headset.

As Kuo explained, “For example, when a user is watching a video with Vision Pro and wearing this new AirPods, if users turn their heads to look in a specific direction, the sound source in that direction can be emphasized to enhance the spatial audio/computing experience.”

FAQs

Q1. When are the AirPods Pro 3 expected to launch?

Answer. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may unveil the AirPods Pro 3 at its September event, much earlier than the previously expected 2026 release.

Q2. What new features might AirPods Pro 3 include?

Answer. Rumoured upgrades include heart rate monitoring, Apple’s new H3 audio chip for improved sound and connectivity, enhanced noise cancellation, and a smaller charging case.

Q3.Are there future plans for AirPods beyond Pro 3?

Answer. Yes. Apple is reportedly working on AirPods with built-in infrared cameras for gesture control and spatial audio enhancements, expected to launch in 2026.

Nothing Ear (3) Teased, Fourth-Gen TWS Earbuds Set to Launch Soon

0

Highlights

  • Nothing has confirmed its fourth-gen TWS earbuds, Ear (3), are “coming soon” with teaser images.
  • Nothing is returning to sequential naming with Ear (3), based on community feedback for clarity.
  • While no date is confirmed, Nothing’s past launch patterns suggest the official reveal of Ear (3) is likely just weeks away.

London-based electronics brand Nothing is back with another teaser. This time, the company is hinting at the arrival of its next-generation flagship earbuds, the Nothing Ear (3).

Nothing Ear (3) Teased on Social Media

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the company confirmed that the Ear (3) is “coming soon.”

The teaser image shows a partial look at the earbuds with the name clearly visible. While Nothing hasn’t revealed a release date or additional details yet, the company’s track record suggests the official launch may not be far away.

What makes this launch particularly interesting is the name itself. Despite being the fourth-generation model, the new earbuds will carry the name Nothing Ear (3). Last year’s version was simply called Nothing Ear, after the company decided to drop numbers from its naming scheme.

Why is Nothing Changing The Name?

Originally, the brand introduced the Ear (1) and followed it up with the Ear (2). However, in 2024, Nothing announced it would simplify naming by removing numbers “to centre the focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user.” That’s how the third-earbuds gen ended up being named just Ear.

Now, with the Ear (3), the company has returned to a more straightforward numerical sequence.

image

Caption – Post on Nothing Community page.

On its official community site, Nothing explained why it reversed its decision. The brand confirmed that the move back to numbers was based on feedback from its community, which preferred the clarity of a sequential naming convention.

“We listened to feedback regarding naming and understood that it was important for users to return to the straightforward numerical order we had attributed to Ear (1) and Ear (2),explained @Andrew_HoSP, Head of Global Smart Products Marketing.

With the Ear (3) confirmed, fans can expect Nothing’s fourth-generation TWS earbuds to launch in the coming weeks.

FAQs

Q1. What is Nothing Ear (3) and when is it launching?

Answer. Nothing Ear (3) is the brand’s upcoming fourth-generation TWS earbuds. While no official launch date is confirmed, the teaser suggests it’s arriving soon.

Q2. Why is the new model called Ear (3) if it’s the fourth generation?

Answer. Despite being the fourth-gen earbuds, Nothing is naming them Ear (3) to return to a clearer, sequential naming system, based on community feedback.

Q3. What was the naming history of Nothing’s earbuds before Ear (3)?

Answer. The brand started with Ear (1), followed by Ear (2). In 2024, it dropped numbers and named the third-gen model simply “Ear.” Now, it’s back to numbered naming with Ear (3).

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its Galaxy S26 series, expected to debut in January 2026. The lineup is rumoured to include Galaxy S26 Edge, Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra. While recent leaks showcased the design of the Galaxy S26 Edge, the latest reports now shed light on the camera setup of the Ultra variant and also give us a look at some new renders. Here’s a roundup of all new reports.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera Specifications (Leaked)

image

Caption – Tipster Roland Quandt’s recent post on X. (Screenshot by Gizmochina)

According to tipster Roland Quandt post on X (formerly Twitter), the Galaxy S26 Ultra will also feature a 200MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens but with changes in its telephoto setup. It is expected to include a new 12MP telephoto camera alongside a 50MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom.

The leak further reveals that the 12MP telephoto will use the Samsung S5K3LD sensor, supporting 3x optical zoom. While Quandt specified details for this sensor, he did not share information about the other lenses.

Additional reports suggest the S26 Ultra could adopt a new HP2+ primary sensor with nearly a 1-inch size and f/1.4 aperture, enabling 47% more light intake compared to its predecessor. Tipster Ice Universe on Weibo also claimed the new telephoto camera will feature an f/2.4 aperture and 20% more pixels than the S25 Ultra’s 10MP telephoto, while another telephoto with f/2.9 aperture will deliver 38% more light intake.

For reference, the Galaxy S25 Ultra came with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP2 primary sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN3 ultra-wide lens, a 10MP Sony IMX754 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Sony IMX854 periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom.

Galaxy S26 Pro and Ultra Design Leaks

SmartPrix, in its recent report, has also shared new renders of the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra, likely based on CAD files, following yesterday’s leak of the S26 Edge.

In terms of design, both the Pro and Ultra will retain a similar camera module but with an extended island design reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Despite the slimmer bodies, both phones are tipped to include built-in Qi2 magnets, bringing MagSafe-like charging capabilities. The report also suggests the Galaxy S26 Pro may ship with an Exynos chipset, while the Ultra will likely run on Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon flagship.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Specifications (Expected)

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, paired with a 5,500mAh battery and 60W fast charging support. It will also support magnetic wireless charging, a first for Samsung’s flagship series.

Compared to the S25 Ultra, the new model is expected to be slightly larger, thinner, and designed with rounded corners.

Galaxy S26 Edge and Pro Camera Details

Quandt’s leak also mentions camera details for the other models in the series. The Galaxy S26 Edge is expected to sport a 200MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, giving it a dual-camera setup similar to the S25 Edge but with an upgraded ultra-wide lens.

The Galaxy S26 Pro is tipped to feature a new 50MP ultra-wide sensor, though details about its main and telephoto cameras remain undisclosed.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3r come in two shades, Aura Blue and Ash Black. And we had the Ash Black unit for this review. The black feels classic and understated, something that blends in easily. The case has a smooth matte finish with sharp edges and a slightly angular design. Altogether, it is something different from the usual earbuds case and has a pretty modern look.

However, we felt it does have the tendency to attract dust. The OnePlus branding is neatly engraved on the front, right above the indicator light, while the charging port is placed at the bottom.

Some may find the case design a bit bulky but we felt that the case is lightweight. It weighs around 40 grams with the earbuds inside and each earbud weighs about 5 grams. We found them super easy to carry around and barely noticeable in the ears during long listening sessions.

The earbuds feel sturdy and solid in the hand. The hinge on the case opens smoothly and it doesn’t feels flimsy or cheap. The buds come with an IP55 rating, which means there is no need to worry about sweat or light rain.

In terms of comfort, the fit is snug but not tight. We could wear them for hours without any irritation. They stay in place even when moving around, which makes them good for everyday use.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3r – Sound Quality

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3r come with 12.4mm dynamic drivers and a titanised vibrating diaphragm inside. The sound comes across as clear and lively with enough depth to make music enjoyable across different genres. The punch in the sound is strong. There is more crispness to the highs while it keeps the bass tight and not muddy.

The buds also feature OnePlus 3D Audio. This means when the buds are turned on, you feel the surround sound. It is almost like you’re sitting in the middle of the music. The directional sound is pretty spot on too and it does make movies or games feel more immersive with a wider, 360-degree stage.

You also get Sound Master EQ options that allows you to play around with different sound profiles. Whether you want more bass for workouts, clearer vocals for podcasts or a balanced setup for everyday listening, there’s a mode to suit your taste.

Overall, we found the Nord Buds 3r to deliver a well-rounded sound experience. They’re fun to listen to, and the extras like 3D Audio and EQ presets make them more versatile than you’d expect in this price range.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3r pack in quite a few handy features. There’s a 47ms ultra-low latency mode for gamers. It keeps the audio in sync with the action on screen and we felt that it makes a big difference when playing fast-paced games.

The earbuds connect over Bluetooth 5.4 and the range is about 10 meters, which is good enough to move around the room without dropouts. Pairing is also super quick with Google Fast Pair.

You can even switch between two devices at once with the dual-device connection feature. That means you can be connected to your phone and laptop at the same time, which is really useful.

There are a few smart extras too. Nord Buds 3r come with a voice assistant shortcut and support for AI translation. It also comes with Aqua Touch feature, which makes the touch controls work better if your fingers are a little wet. However, we did experience slight touch issues and a little delay in command.

The “Find My Earbuds” option is another neat addition in case you misplace them. And if you use them with a OnePlus phone, you also get double-tap camera control, which lets you take pictures without touching the screen.

All in all, the features here feel practical and add to the overall experience instead of just being gimmicks.

Charging is also quick and hassle-free with the USB Type-C port. The fast charging support easily needs just a 10-minute charge that gives you around 8 hours of playback. So even if you forget to charge them overnight, a short top-up before heading out is more than enough. We do wish the charging cable were provided in the box.

Overall, the battery backup is reliable and the fast charging makes the whole experience stress-free.

Samsung is preparing to expand the rollout of One UI 8, its customised skin based on Android 16, across more Galaxy smartphones. While some Galaxy devices have already started receiving the update, a newly surfaced schedule sheds light on when the broader rollout could take place.

One UI 8 and Android 16 Coming to More Galaxy Devices

According to the leaked timeline, Samsung is gearing up to deliver One UI 8 with Android 16 to a wide range of Galaxy models over the next few months. The update ensures that the most recent Galaxy phones will eventually make the jump to Android 16, though the rollout will be staggered depending on the model.

As has been the case in previous years, Samsung’s update plans can differ significantly across devices. The leaked schedule provides an early look at which phones may get the update first, offering Galaxy users a rough idea of what to expect.

The leaked roadmap has reportedly originated from Samsung and mainly covers devices in Asia.

The list as it stands today based on SammyGuru’s recent report is as follows –

  • Galaxy S25 Ultra – September 18
  • Galaxy S25+ – September 18
  • Galaxy S25 – September 18

Latest iPhone Pro and Pro Max leaks and rumours ahead of the launch.

Apple is just days away from officially unveiling the iPhone 17 lineup, but leaks and rumours continue to reveal what we might expect from the Pro models this year. Here’s the roundup of all the latest rumours.

iPhone 17 Pro Could Feature Smaller Dynamic Island

image image image

A new leak suggests Apple may finally be reducing the size of the Dynamic Island, but only for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The images were shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the account @that_one_g3 (via MacRumors). It shows a noticeably smaller cutout.

According to the leaker, who claims to work for a company that makes iPhone screen protectors, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will keep the same 2cm Dynamic Island as before. However, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature a 25% smaller version, measuring just 1.5cm. Such last-minute leaks are not unusual ahead of Apple’s major launch events, as final product details often surface close to release.

While the source has no track record of Apple leaks, the claim aligns with past reports hinting at Apple’s plans to shrink the Dynamic Island on its higher-end models.

Analyst Jeff Pu previously this year suggested the iPhone 17 Pro Max will most likely have a smaller Dynamic Island compared to the iPhone 17 Pro and previous models. Meanwhile, another leaker claimed Apple might go for a “metalens” for Face ID. This integrates the transmitter and receiver components in order to reduce the size and thickness of structural elements. Eventually, this would result in a smaller Dynamic Island on the device.

iPhone 17 Pro Cameras – Biggest Upgrades Yet

Apple’s camera improvements remain a major focus every year, and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed what users can expect at the September 9 event. According to his report, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max cameras will see five major upgrades –

  • Video recording will receive “major enhancements”
  • Telephoto lens resolution will jump from 12MP to 48MP
  • Introduction of a variable aperture system
  • Multi-cam simultaneous video recording support
  • Selfie camera will get its “biggest-ever upgrade”

Gurman highlights video recording improvements as the most significant change, specifically mentioning simultaneous front-and-back camera recording.

The addition of a variable aperture system is also noteworthy. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had previously predicted it would arrive with the iPhone 18 series instead. If true, this would mark one of the standout features of this year’s Pro models.

New Back Design for iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max

Beyond the display and cameras, the iPhone 17 Pro lineup may also bring a major design refresh.

Gurman notes that “the latest high-end versions, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, will have new backs that give a fresh look to the camera areas.”

He further adds, “The back of the phones look different, including a new camera area that spans the entire length of the top third of the device as well as a new cutout area on the bottom two-thirds of the phone that doubles as the wireless charging area.”

This description supports recent leaks pointing toward an aluminium-and-glass build rather than the full-glass design seen in current models. The shift from titanium and glass to aluminium with reduced glass usage could not only make the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max lighter but also set the stage for Apple’s rumoured all-glass iPhone 20.

If accurate, the redesign would be the most noticeable change to the iPhone Pro series in years, giving users both a fresh aesthetic and a more practical build.

FAQs

Q2. What camera upgrades are expected in the iPhone 17 Pro series?

Answer. Major enhancements include a 48MP telephoto lens, variable aperture system, simultaneous front-and-back video recording, and a significantly improved selfie camera.

Q3. Is there a design change in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max?

Answer. Yes. The Pro models may feature a redesigned back with a top-third camera strip and a bottom wireless charging cutout, shifting to an aluminium-and-glass build.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 With Bigger Screen

The upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3, which will succeed the Watch Ultra 2 launched in 2023, could feature a display as large as the Series 10’s 1.96-inch screen or even larger. For reference, the Watch Ultra 2 came with a 1.92-inch display.

Beyond the size upgrade, the third-generation Ultra is rumoured to be powered by a new S11 chip, while also adding support for 5G RedCap connectivity. Additionally, satellite connectivity for text messaging is said to be part of the package, making it more versatile for outdoor and emergency use.

Apple Watch SE – Possible Refresh

Apple is also expected to update its affordable Watch SE lineup. The next-gen Watch SE could arrive with a newer display and a faster processor, giving users a more capable entry-level smartwatch experience.

If the leaks are accurate, Apple’s September 9 event will not only bring the iPhone 17 series but also significant upgrades across its smartwatch range.
