  • Legacy Styles Retained: The older Cynical and Nerdy modes remain available.
  • Fine-Tuning Controls: Offers customisation for conciseness, warmth, scannability, and emoji usage.
  • Proactive Suggestions: ChatGPT can now suggest changes to tone or style mid-conversation.
  • Instant Personalisation: Any customisation applies immediately across all active chats.
  • Better Custom Instruction Handling: Provides more precise control over tone and behaviour for both models.
  • Six Chat Styles: Users can choose between Default, Friendly, Efficient, Professional, Candid, and Quirky tones.

Apple Could Make iPhone 18 Pro Max Heavier and Thicker Than iPhone 17 Pro Max

0

Highlights

  • The iPhone 18 Pro Max may become Apple’s heaviest and thickest flagship yet, weighing over 240g and measuring 9mm thick.
  • Expected changes include under-display Face ID, redesigned camera modules, and a steel-encased battery, contributing to the increased size and weight.
  • Apple plans a two-phase rollout with Pro models alongside its first foldable iPhone in September 2026 and standard iPhone 18 with iPhone 18e in early 2027.

Apple’s next-generation iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to launch in late 2026. The flagship iPhone is already drawing attention for its expected design and hardware changes. Adding to rumours via fresh leaks, it could become the company’s heaviest and thickest flagship yet. Here’s the full story.

iPhone 18 Pro Max Could Be Heavier Than Ever

A recent leak from Chinese tipster Instant Digital on Weibo claims that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will weigh more than 240 grams, making it Apple’s heaviest iPhone to date. This would surpass the weights of previous models like the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max, both of which were lighter.

For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro Max featured a titanium body and weighed 227 grams, while the shift to aluminium in the iPhone 17 Pro Max raised the weight to 233 grams, partly due to a larger battery.

Along with the extra weight, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is also expected to feature a thicker chassis, measuring around 9mm, up from the 8.8mm thickness of its predecessor.

iPhone 18 Pro Max – What Else We Know?

The increase in weight and thickness is believed to be linked to internal hardware advancements. Reports suggest the iPhone 18 Pro series will introduce a new under-display Face ID system, redesigned camera modules, and a steel-encased battery. These updates could collectively contribute to the device’s added heft.

While Apple has yet to confirm whether the larger frame accommodates a bigger battery, it seems likely that the brand’s design changes are focused on durability and component integration.

Another leak indicates Apple plans to refine the iPhone’s aesthetics by colour-matching the aluminium frame with the reinforced glass back panel, addressing the dual-tone contrast seen on the iPhone 17 Pro models. This move could result in a more seamless and premium-looking design.

iPhone 18 Lineup and Launch Timeline

Apple is reportedly planning a two-phase rollout for the iPhone 18 lineup. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to debut alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone in September 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 and entry-level iPhone 18e could follow in early 2027.

Meanwhile, the second-generation iPhone Air is now said to be delayed indefinitely. This model was initially linked to the 2026 launch window.

FAQs

Q1. How heavy and thick will the iPhone 18 Pro Max be?

Answer. Leaks suggest it will weigh over 240g and measure around 9mm thick, making it Apple’s heaviest and thickest flagship iPhone to date.

Q2. What hardware changes are expected in the iPhone 18 Pro Max?

Answer: The device may feature under-display Face ID, redesigned camera modules, and a steel-encased battery, contributing to its increased size and weight.

Q3. When will the iPhone 18 series launch?

Answer. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in September 2026, followed by the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e in early 2027.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Tipped to Launch on December 5 With Snapdragon 8 Elite and 5600mAh Battery

0

Highlights

  • Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z TriFold on December 5, initially targeting South Korea and select Asian markets.
  • The phone will reportedly be priced around $3,000 and the first launch could serve as a test phase before global expansion.
  • The device features a unique tri-fold design with two hinges and three displays, expanding to a 10-inch tablet-like screen and massive 5600mAh battery split across three units.

Samsung’s much-awaited Galaxy Z TriFold has been in the works for months. The device concept was first showcased during the Galaxy Unpacked in January 2025 and since then fans have been excited. The Korean brand has previously confirmed its arrival before the end of the year and it seems the company is ready to unveil its most ambitious device yet.

According to the latest report, the innovative foldable device is set to make its debut next month with new leaks shedding light on its launch timeline, design, and hardware details. Here’s all we know.

Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold – Launch

image

Caption – Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold on display

According to The Chosun Daily, Samsung will officially launch the Galaxy Z TriFold on December 5, followed by immediate sales. However, availability could be limited to South Korea and select Asian markets initially.

The report adds that the Galaxy Z TriFold may cost around 4.4 million Korean won, which is approximately $3,000 USD. While previous leaks hinted at a possible U.S. release, that now appears uncertain.

Industry insiders suggest that Samsung may treat this initial launch as a test phase, gauging consumer response before a wider international rollout next year. If successful, the Galaxy Z TriFold could mark a major leap in smartphone design. It will be blending the capabilities of a phone and tablet in one sleek, foldable form.

Galaxy Z TriFold to Feature Massive 5600mAh Battery

One of the key highlights of the Galaxy Z TriFold will be its 5600mAh battery, making it even larger than the one inside the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. The unique three-part folding mechanism has allowed Samsung to fit three separate battery units inside the device. This will help to deliver more power than any previous Samsung foldable.

When unfolded, the Galaxy Z TriFold expands into a 10-inch display, giving users a tablet-like experience. The larger battery is designed to support the increased power demand of the expansive screen, providing all-day usage.

While 5600mAh is substantial for a foldable, it’s just enough to balance the large display’s power requirements.

Galaxy Z TriFold – What Else We Know?

image

Caption – Concept device of Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold.

The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to feature an entirely new design with two hinges and three connected displays, a first for any smartphone. Reports suggest that the outer display could measure around 6.5 inches, while the inner unfolded screen will reach 10 inches.

Despite its complex design, Samsung is reportedly keeping the TriFold sleek and compact, measuring just 4.2mm thick when folded and 14mm when unfolded. This engineering feat could make it one of the slimmest multi-fold devices ever made.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Z TriFold is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is expected to run Android 16-based One UI 8 with Samsung likely offering seven years of OS and One UI updates for the device.

Q1. When is the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold launching and where will it be available?

Answer. The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to launch on December 5, 2025, with immediate sales in South Korea and select Asian markets. A wider international rollout may follow depending on consumer response.

Q2. What are the key specifications of the Galaxy Z TriFold?

Answer. It’s rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 5600mAh battery split across three units. The device will run Android 16-based One UI 8 and may receive up to seven years of software updates.

Q3. What makes the Galaxy Z TriFold’s design unique?

iPhone 18 Pro May Feature a Seamless Rear Design, Apple’s 2026 Lineup Could Look Very Different

Highlights

  • Apple may ditch the two-tone rear seen on iPhone 17 Pro, opting for a seamless, unified back using a refined glass replacement process.
  • The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature the A20 Pro chip (TSMC 2nm) and Apple’s in-house C2 modem.
  • With the iPhone Air 2 delayed to 2027, Apple’s 2026 fall lineup may just include iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Fold

It has been hinted multiple times since this year’s iPhone launch that we may be looking at a design overhaul next year. This means the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series could look totally different. Well, a new report indicates Apple is planning to move away from the two-tone rear look seen on the current iPhone 17 Pro lineup. Here’s what we know so far.

No Two-Tone Rear Back for iPhone 18 Pro?

According to a post by Chinese leaker Instant Digital on Weibo, the next-generation models could feature a more unified, seamless back design. This hints that the Cupertino giant might shift its aesthetic approach.

Tipster writes, “The back glass replacement process of the iPhone 18 Pro series can solve the color difference with the aluminum color on the back as much as possible.”

On the iPhone 17 Pro, Apple used a glass cutout at the back to accommodate MagSafe charging. This resulted in a noticeable colour contrast between the aluminium frame and the Ceramic Shield 2 panel. This combination gave the phone its distinctive two-tone appearance.

For the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple is said to be introducing an updated back-glass replacement process that minimises the colour variation between the frame and the glass. This will eventually produce a smoother and more cohesive look.

This claim aligns with an earlier report from another popular Chinese source named Digital Chat Station on Weibo. DCS had mentioned that Apple’s next Ceramic Shield might feature a “slightly transparent design.” That rumour also suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro models will retain a largely similar design to their predecessors, apart from this subtle yet refined visual upgrade.

Instant Digital has a history of accurate leaks including the yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus colour variant and the Titanium Milanese Loop for the Apple Watch Ultra 2. However, the leaker’s record isn’t flawless, so this information should be taken cautiously.

Beyond design, both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be powered by the A20 Pro chip, built using TSMC’s 2nm process, and will feature Apple’s in-house C2 modem replacing Qualcomm’s hardware. These models are anticipated to debut alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone in September 2026. But we have to discuss that as well.

Apple’s 2026 iPhone Lineup Could Be Unusual

Following the introduction of the iPhone Air this year, Apple appears to be planning an even more dramatic shakeup for 2026. Reports from The Information suggest that Apple’s iPhone Air 2, originally set for fall 2026, has been delayed until spring 2027 due to Apple’s decision to add a second rear camera to the model.

Before the delay, Apple was expected to unveil four models in 2026. These were iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Fold. However, with the Air 2 postponed, the company’s fall 2026 lineup may include only three devices –

  • iPhone 18 Pro
  • iPhone 18 Pro Max
  • iPhone Fold

If this holds true, it would be the first time in years that Apple launches fewer than four iPhones in a single fall event. The absence of a base iPhone model would also push the entry-level price up to around $1,099, a significant jump from the usual $799 starting price.

Moreover, the iPhone Fold will be a premium and niche product. This mean it isn’t expected to appeal to the mass market immediately. This leaves the Pro models as Apple’s primary mainstream options.

FAQs

Q1. What design changes are expected in the iPhone 18 Pro?

Answer. Apple may introduce a seamless rear design for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, moving away from the current two-tone look caused by MagSafe cutouts. A refined back-glass process could reduce color contrast between the frame and Ceramic Shield, offering a more unified aesthetic.

Q2. What hardware upgrades are coming to the iPhone 18 Pro series?

Answer. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature the A20 Pro chip built on TSMC’s 2nm process and Apple’s in-house C2 modem, replacing Qualcomm’s components.

Q3. How will Apple’s 2026 iPhone lineup differ from previous years?

Answer. With the iPhone Air 2 delayed to spring 2027, Apple’s fall 2026 lineup may include only three models, iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and the new iPhone Fold.
