Samsung has officially launched its new budget-friendly 5G smartphone the Samsung Galaxy F06 5G in India after releasing continuous teasers in the last few weeks.

Commenting on the launch, the General Manager of MX Business Samsung India Akshay S Rao said, “We are proud to announce our most affordable 5G smartphone, designed to make next-generation connectivity accessible to everyone. The newly launched Samsung Galaxy F06 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with an 8MP selfie camera housed inside a notch. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and an additional 6GB of virtual RAM for smoother multitasking.

The phone ships with Android 15 and One UI 7 and Samsung has confirmed four generations of OS updates and four years of security updates for the device.

The Galaxy F06 5G has a ‘Ripple Glow’ finish, which gives it a shimmering effect. It comes with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back. For security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Qualcomm has officially introduced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 bringing significant upgrades over its predecessor. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is the first in the series to be built on TSMC’s 4nm process moving away from previous generations that used Samsung’s 4nm and TSMC’s 6nm nodes. Samsung’s Galaxy A56 5G is getting closer to launch and new leaks have given us a detailed look at its design. We now have a 360-degree view of the phone renders that shows the big change to its camera setup. Here’s everything we know about the phone so far including the latest images.

The Galaxy A series has evolved quite a bit over the years. The A54 introduced a rounded design with smooth curves where glass meets metal, while last year’s A55 adopted a flatter frame, taking cues from the flagship Galaxy S24 series. One unique feature from the A55—a slight power button hump—seems to be sticking around in the A56 as well.

Leaked images from Evan Blass’ newsletter showcase the Galaxy A56 5G in four colour options, which include silver, pink, black and grey colours. While the official colour names aren’t confirmed, the leaks provide a 360-degree view of the phone.

However, the top and bottom of the phone remain unseen as they’ll likely house a USB Type-C port. Some reports suggest the phone will not have a headphone jack though.

Multiple reports have claimed that it appears to be an updated version of the previously launched HMD Arc but with a massive storage upgrade of 256GB. The phone will reportedly be available in Australia from March 13 and priced at AUD 169 (about $106 or INR 9,207).

Meta is working on a new WhatsApp feature that will allow users to link their social media accounts directly to their profile. While this feature is already available for business accounts, it is now being developed for regular users as well.

The feature was spotted by trusted WhatsApp Beta source WABetaInfo in a WhatsApp beta update for iPhone. While it’s not active yet, the WABetaInfo report includes a screenshot showing how it will exactly work. Users will be able to add links to their social media profiles, making it easier for others to find and connect with them.
