Realme C01 Spotted on SIRIM in Malaysia, Model Number Same as Indian Version of Realme C100i

0
Realme C100i India Launch

Highlights

  • Realme C01 spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM with model number RMX5399, same as India’s Realme C100i.
  • Certification confirms regulatory approval but no specs or launch details yet.
  • It is likely rebrand of Realme C100i for Malaysia with 120Hz display and 6,500mAh battery.

Realme appears to be preparing another affordable smartphone for the Malaysian market. A new Realme smartphone called Realme C01 has been spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification platform. The phone carries the same model number as the Realme C100i that is scheduled to launch in India. The same model number suggests that both could be the same smartphone with different names. Here are more details as we know for now.

Realme C01 Receives SIRIM Certification

The Malaysian SIRIM database has listed a Realme smartphone with the model number RMX5399 and the marketing name Realme C01. The device is categorised as a mobile phone, while its certification is held by DTL Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

The smartphone has received the type approval code RGQL/33L/0826/S(26-4105). The approval was granted on August 4, 2026.

While the SIRIM listing confirms the device’s regulatory approval, it does not reveal any information about its specifications, pricing or launch date in Malaysia.

Realme C01 Could be the Realme C100i

The most interesting part of the certification is the RMX5399 model number. This is the same model number associated with the upcoming Realme C100i in India.

The RMX5399 model number has also appeared on Google’s list of Play-supported devices under the Realme C100i name, further confirming its association with that smartphone.

This raises the possibility that Realme could launch the same device in Malaysia under the Realme C01 name. The connection becomes more interesting because the Realme C100i is already available in some global markets, while the Indian version is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2026.

There is an important detail to consider here. The Realme C100i available in some global markets has a different design and set of specifications compared to the version that Realme has confirmed for India.

Since the Malaysian Realme C01 and the India-bound Realme C100i both carry the RMX5399 model number, the Malaysian model could potentially be based on the upcoming Indian variant rather than the version already sold in other global markets.

The Indian Realme C100i is expected to be an affordable smartphone with a 120Hz display and a 6,500mAh battery. As of now, the complete specifications and pricing have yet to be officially revealed.

Realme C01 Malaysia Launch Timeline

The SIRIM certification does not provide any information about the specifications or availability of the Realme C01 in Malaysia. Realme has also not confirmed when the smartphone will officially launch in the country.

However, the certification suggests that the device is being prepared for the Malaysian market.

More details about the Realme C01’s specifications, price and availability are expected to emerge through future leaks or official announcements.

iQOO 16 Geekbench Listing Confirms Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and 16GB RAM

0

Highlights

  • iQOO 16 Geekbench listing confirms Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset with 16GB RAM.
  • It scores 3,434 in single-core test and 9,334 in multi-core test, which is lower than iQOO 15 but likely an early engineering build.
  • Rumoured iQOO 16 specs include 8,500mAh battery, 6.85″ 2K 165Hz Samsung display and 100W fast charging.

The upcoming iQOO 16 has appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its processor, RAM configuration and benchmark performance. The flagship device is expected to launch in October 2026 and could be among the first devices to use Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Here’s what we know based on recent leak.

iQOO 16 Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Processor Details

iQOO 16 carrying model number vivo V2606A has appeared on Geekbench and is listed with the QTI SM8975 chipset, which is the internal model number believed to belong to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The Geekbench entry also shows 16GB of RAM.

iQOO 16 appears on Geekbench.
iQOO 16 appears on Geekbench.

In the benchmark test, the iQOO 16 recorded 3,434 points in the single-core test and 9,334 points in the multi-core test.

Interestingly, these numbers are lower than the results achieved by the iQOO 15 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in an in-house Geekbench test, where it scored 3,621 points in single-core and 10,579 points in multi-core testing.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro – What To Expect?

Qualcomm is expected to officially announce the new flagship processor at the Snapdragon Summit in September. Until now, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro was only tipped to power the iQOO 16, but the latest Geekbench listing provides strong evidence supporting those reports.

However, the low Geekbench scores may not be a major concern at this stage. The Geekbench listing is likely based on an early engineering build, meaning the final retail version could deliver significantly better performance when it launches.

Qualcomm is expected to introduce two flagship processors in September this year, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.

Both chipsets are expected to be manufactured using a 2nm process, although the Pro version is tipped to offer higher clock speeds. The iQOO 16 Geekbench listing shows two of its eight CPU cores running at more than 5GHz.

iQOO 16 Expected Specifications

Apart from the processor and RAM details revealed by Geekbench, several other iQOO 16 specifications have already surfaced through leaks.

The smartphone is rumoured to feature a large 8,500mAh battery and a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung flat display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The flagship is also expected to support 100W fast charging, which should help recharge its large battery at a faster rate.

The iQOO 16 is currently expected to launch in October and the company could begin teasing the smartphone sometime in September as per the latest reports.

Apple’s iPhone 20 Rumoured to Use iPhone Air’s Curved Glass Design

0

Highlights

  • Apple’s iPhone 20 may adopt the curved glass design from iPhone Air and improve thinness and heat dissipation.
  • Leak suggests Apple modified iPhone Air’s manufacturing process for rounded glass, reducing costs and enabling a sleeker build.
  • 20th Anniversary iPhone is expected in fall 2027 with rumours of a “mostly glass, curved iPhone” design.

Apple’s 20th-anniversary iPhone could use the same glass manufacturing process developed for the iPhone Air. The new information also suggests that the manufacturing changes could bring improvements beyond the appearance of the device. The leaker claims that both heat dissipation and overall thinness have improved substantially as a result of the updated process.

iPhone 20’s Curved Glass Design Leaked

The new information comes from leaker “Fixed Focus Digital” on Weibo, who has shared details about Apple’s plans for the upcoming anniversary iPhone expected to be called the iPhone 20.

According to a new post on Weibo, Apple has modified the manufacturing equipment originally developed for the iPhone Air to produce more rounded glass components for the 20th-anniversary iPhone. The changes are said to have helped Apple reduce manufacturing costs and also improve the phone’s overall heat dissipation and thinness.

The iPhone Air is currently Apple’s thinnest iPhone measuring just 5.6mm in thickness. It features a polished titanium frame along with a glass rear panel. The manufacturing process developed for the device could now reportedly be adapted to create the more rounded glass design planned for the anniversary iPhone.

Apple Planning a Major iPhone Redesign

The latest report adds to several rumours surrounding Apple’s plans for its 20th-anniversary iPhone. A major redesign has been reported for more than a year with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously claiming that Apple is working on a “mostly glass, curved iPhone without any cutouts in the display” to mark the milestone.

The reported design could see curved glass extend around all sides of the device, giving the iPhone 20 a significantly different appearance compared to current-generation models.

Apple is expected to use the anniversary model to introduce a major design change, although the company has not officially confirmed any details about the iPhone 20 yet.

iPhone 20 Launch Timeline

The 20th-anniversary iPhone models are expected to launch in fall 2027. They are reportedly set to follow the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2, which are expected to arrive in spring 2027.

For now, the curved glass design and manufacturing changes remain based on leaks and reports. However, the latest information suggests that Apple may already be preparing its production facilities for the major redesign planned for the iPhone’s 20th anniversary.

Vivo X500 Pro Max Geekbench Result Reveals Dimensity 9600 Pro; Camera and Video Features Confirmed

Vivo X500 Pro Max Geekbench Result Reveals Dimensity

Highlights

  • Vivo X500 Pro Max spotted on Geekbench with unreleased MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, showing 2+3+3 CPU layout and Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC12 GPU.
  • Benchmark reveals 12GB RAM, early single-core scores around 4,200–4,300 and multi-core around 12,000–12,500, though limited by engineering sample clock speeds.
  • Camera specs include ZEISS Super Dynamic Main Camera with custom Sony sensor, 17EV dynamic range, cinema-grade video, 3° gimbal OIS and CIPA 7.0 stabilisation.

The upcoming Vivo X500 Pro Max has appeared on Geekbench and it offers an early look at an upcoming MediaTek chipset. The listing provides details about the processor’s core configuration and clock speeds ahead of MediaTek’s expected launch.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to be among the first smartphones to use the new chipset. The Vivo X500 series is currently tipped to launch in September and here’s everything we know about the processor based on its recent Geekbench appearance.

Vivo X500 Pro Max on Geekbench

A Vivo smartphone carrying the V2610 model number has been spotted on Geekbench Browser.

The test device is listed with an unreleased MediaTek processor identified as “MT6995(ENG)”. The chipset is widely believed to be the upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro, although MediaTek has not officially confirmed the processor yet.

Vivo X500 Pro Max has appeared on a Geekbench listing with an upcoming MediaTek chipset.
Vivo X500 Pro Max has appeared on a Geekbench listing with an upcoming MediaTek chipset.

According to the Geekbench listing, the processor uses an eight-core CPU with a 2+3+3 configuration. It includes two prime cores capable of reaching up to 4.55GHz, three cores with a maximum clock speed of 4.35GHz and three additional cores running at a base frequency of 3.10GHz.

However, the particular engineering sample tested on Geekbench had its two prime cores limited to just 2.8GHz. This means the benchmark scores from the listing do not represent the full performance potential of the upcoming chipset.

The 2+3+3 CPU layout also matches information previously shared by tipster Digital Chat Station. The tipster had claimed that the processor would feature two “Canyon” cores, believed to be Arm’s yet-to-be-announced C2-Ultra cores along with three “Gelas-B” cores and three “Gelas” cores. The latter name is also associated with the C1-Pro cores used in the Dimensity 9500.

The Geekbench listing also identifies the GPU as “Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC12.” This is in line with earlier reports about the graphics unit expected to be used in MediaTek’s upcoming flagship chipset.

It also shows 11.05GB of usable RAM, which suggests that the Vivo test unit has 12GB of installed RAM. It carries a “release-keys” signing status, which is commonly seen on pre-production devices.

Engineering samples are reportedly estimated to achieve Geekbench 6 scores of around 4,200–4,300 points in single-core testing and 12,000–12,500 points in multi-core testing.

However, these figures should be treated as early estimates since MediaTek’s pre-launch performance have often been higher than the scores achieved by final retail versions.

Meanwhile, it has now been revealed that Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to put a strong focus on photography and video. Vivo says the phone is being built to be the first choice for photography and the only choice for video.

The flagship is tipped to feature a ZEISS Super Dynamic Main Camera with a custom Sony sensor and BluePrint Optics 900. The camera system is expected to offer a dynamic range of up to 17EV with Vivo targeting cinema-grade video recording.

Stabilisation is another major focus. The Vivo X500 Pro Max is said to feature 3° gimbal-level OIS along with CIPA 7.0 professional-grade stabilisation. These technologies are designed to deliver more stable footage, particularly while recording videos on the move.

Vivo is also describing the video upgrade as a major, “epic-level” improvement. The focus is reportedly on improving both dynamic range and stability, suggesting that video recording could be one of the biggest upgrades on the upcoming flagship.

More details are expected to emerge as the launch approaches.

  • Vivo Buds Pro and iQOO Buds Pro have received regulatory approvals in the UAE and Malaysia.
  • Certifications suggest both earbuds may be the same product sold under different brand names.
  • A new iQOO device has also secured BIS approval in India suggesting another upcoming launch in the market.

Vivo and iQOO appear to be preparing several new products for launch. Tipster Anvin on X has shared details about regulatory approvals for the Vivo Buds Pro and iQOO Buds Pro. The same tipster has also revealed a separate BIS listing that suggests that another iQOO device could be heading to India soon.

According to one of Anvin’s recent posts on X, the Vivo Buds Pro and iQOO Buds Pro have received regulatory approvals in multiple markets.

The Vivo Buds Pro carries the model number XE W41 and has been approved by the TDRA in the UAE. Meanwhile, the iQOO Buds Pro is listed with the model number iXE W41 in SIRIM in Malaysia.

Interestingly, the tipster believes that the two could be the same product being sold under different brand names.

The Vivo Buds Pro (XE W41) is registered under DXG Electronics Trading L.L.C. with Equipment Registration Number ER60988/26. The registration is valid until June 24, 2029, confirming that the wireless earbuds have passed the required compliance checks for use in the market.

Meanwhile, the iQOO Buds Pro (iXE W41) has been approved as a wireless earphone under the iQOO brand. It carries the Type Approval Code RFFS/72O/0426/S(26-2014) with the approval dated April 21, 2026. This clearance allows the product to be sold and distributed after meeting the required regulatory standards.

The certifications for both models suggest that the Vivo Buds Pro and iQOO Buds Pro could be nearing their launch.

New iQOO Device Gets BIS Approval

In another development, the same tipster reveals that a new iQOO device carrying model number I2605 has appeared in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) registry in India.

The listing was granted on August 21, 2026 and confirms that the iQOO I2605 has passed the necessary BIS compliance checks. This approval means the device can legally be marketed and sold in India.

The BIS listing does not reveal the commercial name or specifications of the upcoming iQOO device. However, its appearance in the Indian certification database indicates that at least one more iQOO product could be heading to the Indian market soon.

POCO F9 Series Global Launch Date

POCO has announced that the POCO F9 series will launch globally on September 1 at 20:00 GMT+8. The launch event will also be live-streamed, allowing fans to watch the announcement online.

While POCO has confirmed the F9 series launch, it has not yet revealed the names of the smartphones that will be unveiled. However, multiple recent reports and leaks point towards the POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra.

Both smartphones have already appeared on several certification websites suggesting that their global launch is getting closer.

POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra Could Be Based on Redmi Phones

Previous reports have claimed that the POCO F9 Pro could arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi K100 Pro, while the POCO F9 Ultra is expected to be based on the Redmi K100 Pro Max.

Motorola has announced a price hike for two of its smartphones in India. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion and Motorola Edge 60 Fusion will become more expensive by up to Rs 3,000 from August 25, 2026.

The price revision affects all four storage variants of the Edge 70 Fusion, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the Edge 60 Fusion. Here are all the details.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has received a Rs 3,000 price increase across all its variants. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, which was previously priced at Rs 30,999, will now cost Rs 33,999.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB variant has gone from Rs 32,999 to Rs 35,999. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM + 256GB model will now cost Rs 37,999 instead of Rs 34,999. The top-end 12GB RAM + 512GB variant has increased from Rs 37,999 to Rs 40,999.

Edge 60 Fusion 12GB + 256GB Rs 29,999 Rs 32,999 Rs 3,000

All revised prices will be effective from August 25, 2026.

What This Price Hike Means for Buyers?

The price hike makes the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion less attractive, especially because the company’s standard Edge 70 is now available at a lower price than some Fusion variants. This creates an unusual situation where buyers may find the higher-positioned Edge 70 to be better value than the Edge 70 Fusion.

The Rs 3,000 increase could also make the upcoming festive and online sales less exciting for buyers. With the prices already moving up, there may not be much room for Motorola to offer major discounts during sales this time.

If you were already planning to buy the Edge 70 Fusion or Edge 60 Fusion, purchasing before the revised prices take effect on August 25 could help you save Rs 3,000.
