Lava has expanded its affordable smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Lava Virat V1 5G and Lava Virat V1 4G. The latest budget smartphones come with 6.75-inch HD+ displays, AI-backed dual rear cameras and are available in two colour options each. While both devices share several features, the 5G model packs a larger 6,000mAh battery, whereas the 4G variant is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphones will go on sale in India starting next week.

The Lava Virat V1 5G is priced at Rs. 12,999 but as part of an introductory offer, it will be available for Rs. 11,999. Meanwhile, the Lava Virat V1 4G carries a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and will be sold at a special launch price of Rs. 8,999.

Both smartphones will be available for purchase through Flipkart and the Lava website starting July 31 at 12pm IST. The introductory pricing will be valid only on the first day of the sale.

Lava has also confirmed that both smartphones will be backed by its doorstep after-sales service across India.

The Lava Virat V1 5G comes in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold colour options, while the Lava Virat V1 4G is offered in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver finishes.

Both Lava Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 smartphones sports a 6.75-inch HD+ display. The 5G model is powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also supports up to 4GB of virtual RAM, while storage can be expanded by up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The Lava Virat V1 4G, on the other hand, is equipped with the Unisoc SC9863A chipset. It also comes with 4GB RAM, supports 4GB virtual RAM, and includes 64GB of onboard storage.

As for software, the Lava Virat V1 5G runs on Android 16, while the Lava Virat V1 4G ships with Android 15.

For photography, both smartphones feature an AI-backed dual rear camera setup led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, they are equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls. Both handsets also come with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Lava Virat V1 5G houses a 6,000mAh battery, while the Lava Virat V1 4G packs a 5,000mAh battery.
