Truke Buds Elite – Design, Build Quality and Fit

Truke Buds Elite – Design, Build Quality and Fit

The Truke Buds Elite come in a sleek case that looks good and feels smooth in hand. It’s compact enough to slip into a small pocket or rest comfortably in your palm, making it easy to carry around. We had the Black colour variant for the review, which looks good.

On the front, there’s a small indicator light along with the Truke branding in silver. The build quality is solid. The hinge feels quite sturdy and it snaps shut securely making a sound when closed. The magnets inside hold the earbuds firmly in place, so there’s no worry about them falling out when opening the case.

As for the earbuds, the TWS have the same glassy finish as the case. Together both the case and the earbuds have quite a premium look. The earbuds are lightweight and fit comfortably in the ears. After using them for almost a week, we felt these are perfect for long listening sessions and don’t really make wearing the earbuds for long hours uncomfortable.

Moreover, with an IPX5 water resistance rating, they can handle sweat and light splashes, so they’re a good fit for workouts or outdoor use.

Truke Buds Elite – Sound and ENC Quality

Truke Buds Elite – Sound and ENC Quality

The Truke Buds Elite with 10mm dynamic audio drivers that promise to deliver a powerful and immersive audio experience. The bass is deep and rich, which makes them a good choice if you like punchy lows.

We felt Buds Elite to be a good pair of earbuds for regular everyday usage. Whether you’re listening to music, watching videos, or playing games, the sound feels well-balanced.

Speaking of gaming, the buds come with 40ms Ultra Low Latency. Our experience with gaming was decent. There were issues similar to not getting the sounds of footsteps clearly but considering the affordable segment, such issues are understandable.

The earbuds support AAC and SBC codecs. We felt the vocals sounded crisp and the highs and mids were decent without too much distortion at higher volumes.

Let’s talk about call quality. The earbuds feature dual microphones with Pure Voice ENC. It helps cut down on background noise for clearer conversations. We tried using the earbuds in different environments including slightly noisy areas and the voice clarity remained solid.

The ENC does a decent job of reducing unwanted noise. Since these are entry-level earbuds, you can’t really expect extraordinary performance. But these were good in making sure the person on the other end heard you without distractions.

Overall, the sound quality is impressive for the price segment and the calling experience is reliable even in slightly noisy surroundings.

Truke Buds Elite – Battery Support

Truke Buds Elite – Battery Support

Probably one of the strongest points of the Truke Buds Elite is the long battery life it comes with. You will get up to 70 hours of uninterrupted playtime as per the brand’s claim. As we tried testing the exact playtime, we were surprised that the real-world performance of the buds was quite close to the claims.

These earbuds easily last for days without needing a recharge. During our testing, we didn’t have to worry about constantly charging them.

It also comes with a Smart Rapid Charge feature. So, just a quick 10-minute charge gives you another good 8 to 9 hours of playback time.

Overall, the battery life is solid and the fast charging feature makes it even more convenient.

Verdict – Should You Buy Truke Buds Elite?

Verdict – Should You Buy Truke Buds Elite?

The Truke Buds Elite are good for anyone looking for decent earbuds without spending a lot. These come with a solid build and offer a comfortable fit. The sound quality is good for the price. With up to 70 hours of playtime and rapid charging that gives 10 hours of playback in just 10 minutes, these earbuds are built to keep up with your day.

Overall, the Truke Buds Elite at ₹ 799 offers a good combination of sound, comfort and battery life. If you want earbuds for music, calls and everyday use, these are a solid choice.

  • It is running a lighter “Gemini Nano 1.0 XXS” AI model.
  • It includes AI tools like Summarize in Recorder, Pixel Studio and Add Me in Pixel Camera.

The Pixel 9a was officially announced just a few days ago and while it is yet to hit the shelves, details about its features have started surfacing. Recent reports reveal that Pixel 9a will miss out on key AI features like Pixel Screenshots and Call Notes because of its 8GB RAM limitation. Here’s what we know.

According to Google based on an Ars Technica report, the Pixel 9a runs “Gemini Nano 1.0 XXS”, a lighter AI model that doesn’t run continuously in the background and only supports text input. Because of this, the device can’t process images or audio, which means:

  • Pixel Screenshots – A feature that analyses screenshots, makes them searchable and lets users add notes and reminders, will be absent.
  • Call Notes – The ability to generate call transcripts and summaries within the Phone by Google app won’t be available.
image

The Pixel 9 series, which has 12GB to 16GB of RAM, runs “Gemini Nano XS”, a more capable version that can handle these features.

Despite these limitations, the Pixel 9a will still support some AI features including:

  • Summarise in Recorder – Uses AI to generate summaries from transcripts.
  • Pixel Studio – A new tool for creating images powered by Tensor G4 and Imagen 3 models.
  • Add Me in Pixel Camera – Uses AI to intelligently add people to photos.

Pixel 9a Delayed to April Due to Component Issue

Originally expected to launch on March 26, the Pixel 9a’s release has been delayed to April due to a “component quality issue”.

Google confirmed the delay to 9to5Google, stating that a small number of devices were affected. However, the company hasn’t disclosed exactly what the issue is even though pre-orders have been cancelled through the Google Store and other retailers like Best Buy.

Google is now offering email notifications for users who want to be alerted when sales resume.

This delay is unusual, as Google typically allows pre-orders immediately after a product announcement. The lack of a confirmed release date suggests that the issue was discovered very close to launch.

Those interested in getting the phone are now hoping Google can resolve this problem quickly so the Pixel 9a can hit shelves soon without any lingering issues.

FAQS

Q1. Why does the Pixel 9a lack features like Pixel Screenshots and Call Notes?

Answer. The Pixel 9a has 8GB of RAM and runs a lighter “Gemini Nano 1.0 XXS” AI model, which cannot process images or audio, limiting its AI capabilities.

Q2. What AI features are supported on the Pixel 9a despite its limitations?

Answer. The device supports Summarize in Recorder for transcript summaries, Pixel Studio for creating images, and Add Me in Pixel Camera for intelligently adding people to photos.

Q3. Why has the Pixel 9a’s release been delayed?

Answer. Its release was delayed to April due to a “component quality issue” affecting a small number of devices, with no confirmed new launch date yet.

Apple TV+ is reportedly losing over $1 billion every year making it the only unprofitable service in Apple’s portfolio, according to a new report from The Information.

Since its launch in 2019, Apple has invested around $5 billion annually in original content, though it cut that budget to $4.5 billion in 2024. The streaming platform is home to popular shows like “Severance,” “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show,” “Silo,” and “Shrinking.”

Despite producing award-winning content, Apple TV+ still lags behind major competitors like Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video in terms of subscribers.

Apple doesn’t disclose subscriber numbers, but the report estimates that Apple TV+ has around 45 million subscribers. In comparison, Netflix leads the industry with 301 million subscribers.

The Indian Express report explains, “they (Apple) cut it (Investment)down to about $500 million in 2024, the report said. While Apple TV+ doesn’t share subscription figures, as per an estimate done by Visible Alpha, it has 40.4 million subscribers till the end of 2024. Corresponding figures for Netflix stands at 301.63 million and Disney+ has 124.6 million users.”

The service started with a limited content library and gradually expanded. Its first original series, “For All Mankind,” premiered in November 2019 and received praise from both audiences and critics. However, Apple does not share viewership data for its shows.

The report highlights that most streaming services operate at a loss and Apple is no exception. However, unlike companies that rely on streaming revenue, Apple’s primary business is selling devices, making it less vulnerable to financial losses from Apple TV+. The report notes that Apple ventured into the streaming business mainly to keep people in the Apple ecosystem.

Commenting on the Apple TV+ strategy, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos during an interview with Variety recently said, “I don’t understand it beyond a marketing play, but they’re really smart people. Maybe they see something we don’t.”

The Smart Screen S6 Pro is ultra-thin, sitting just 5mm from the wall with its near zero-gap mount. Huawei has reduced the body thickness by 36%, making it blend seamlessly into modern living spaces. With a 99% screen-to-body ratio, the design is almost bezel-free, offering an immersive viewing experience.

The TV features a Super MiniLED panel powered by Huawei’s Honghu picture engine, which delivers thousands of dimming zones for enhanced contrast and detail. It is HDR Vivid-certified, covers 94% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and boasts a colour accuracy of ΔE ≤1.5, which Huawei claims is professional-grade.

For smooth motion and gaming performance, the 288Hz refresh rate works alongside Honghu’s motion clarity algorithms. The TV also adapts contrast, brightness, and colour automatically based on the content being played. There’s even a dedicated gaming UI that lets users tweak settings in real-time.

Audio performance is equally impressive. The Audio Vivid technology delivers immersive 3D sound, while an independent low-frequency design allows bass to drop down to 60Hz, ensuring a rich audio experience.

It supports one-tap 4K casting from Huawei smartphones, and the included Lingxi remote doubles as a universal controller with voice commands and set-top box controls.

Huawei has also launched the FreeBuds 6, featuring a semi-open water-drop design based on data from millions of human ears. The earphones are 12% smaller, with each bud weighing just 4.9 grams, while the charging case weighs 40.3 grams. Non-slip earmuffs help enhance fit and stability.

It is made up of an ultra-high-frequency micro-flat tweeter and a dual-magnetic high-sensitivity woofer.

The FreeBuds 6 use a three-separation design, where the acoustic, control, and battery systems are split. The audio system features:

  • 11mm four-magnet dynamic unit for deep bass (down to 14Hz)
  • Micro-flat tweeter for crisp highs (up to 48kHz)
  • Bass Turbo technology for richer low-end sound

Huawei describes these as the industry’s first semi-open dual-driver earbuds, ensuring clear treble, mid-range, and bass separation. The 2.3 Mbps lossless transmission at 48kHz / 24-bit supports HWA Lossless and Hi-Res Wireless certifications.

Real-time ultra-wideband hearing optimisation adjusts frequencies from 50Hz to 2kHz, based on ear shape, wearing position and volume levels. Tuned by experts from the Central Conservatory of Music, the earbuds offer classical and balanced sound modes.

For immersive listening, the FreeBuds 6 supports head-tracking spatial audio, which works seamlessly with the HUAWEI Music app’s spatial audio library to create a live-event feel.

Call quality is another highlight, with a bone conduction microphone and multi-channel noise reduction, handling 95 dB of noise and 8m/s wind speeds. The semi-open light noise reduction helps reduce background sound in offices, cafés, and other public places.

The FreeBuds 6 offers 36 hours of battery life with the case. A 5-minute USB-C charge provides 2.5 hours of playback, while smart charging extends battery lifespan by 37%.
