Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Unboxing

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Design and Build Quality

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Design and Build Quality

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is one of the sleekest-looking phones amongst the recent Infinix launches. The first thing we noticed getting our hands on the device was how slim it was. At just 7.6mm and around 180g in weight, it is a lightweight and compact smartphone. It is curved around the edges and has a 3D curved display, which overall makes it look quite premium. According to the brand, it’s the slimmest phone in this segment that comes with a 3D curved display.

We had the Burgundy Red colour variant for this review and it looks great. The colour tone is very unique. The back panel has a metallic finish but it doesn’t look too loud. The glass camera module in the “Gem-Cut” design is not like the regular square or round shape modules.  The good thing is that it is neat and doesn’t protrude too much from the rest of the phone body.

To add on to the overall design of the back panel, there is Infinix’s Active Halo Lighting. It works for calls, notifications, charging, gaming and voice assistants.

The sleek and compact design, however, does not come at the cost of durability. The phone is well-built and comes with MIL-STD 810H Military Grade certification for durability. It also has IP64 dust and water resistance, which means you can have some peace of mind around water or during rain.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Display

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Display

We already have some excellent displays in the mid-range smartphone price segment. Infinix Note 50s 5G+ with its 6.78-inch 10-bit 144Hz AMOLED 3D-Curved panel is definitely here to compete. It is a stunning curved display to begin with, and looks perfect for media streaming. We, at MyMobiles, are not really fans of curved displays but that is not an issue, this punch-hole display should work for you.

The colours appear rich, sharp and vibrant with the support of 10-bit color depth and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The visuals look stunning and very life-like, although we wish the bezels weren’t so noticeable during streaming. It somehow hinders the immersiveness while streaming.

The 144Hz refresh rate keeps things smooth. Although the thing to note is that it goes up to 144Hz only in Phone Settings and Messages. Otherwise, it operates on 120Hz system-wide. In any case, there were hardly any noticeable issues with the touch or display during scrolling or simply performing everyday tasks.

It also supports 1300 nits of peak brightness. We tried using the phone in the outside daylight and didn’t face any brightness issues. The display remained very visible throughout.

Moreover, the Infinix Note 50s comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, so there you have something to fall back on in terms of screen durability.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Performance

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Performance

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset and is paired with 8GB of RAM. We had the 128 GB internal storage variant here, which should be enough for any average user. But there is also another variant with 256 GB internal storage in case you need it.

Performance-wise, this phone is smooth and responsive. Every day tasks like social media, emails, YouTube or usual scrolling are a breeze. The phone manages thermals well. We didn’t face any heating issues even during long sessions of streaming or multitasking. Speaking of that, it can also handle multitasking quite well.

Moderate gaming is what we would recommend. While this isn’t particularly a gaming device, it does support good gameplay at medium settings. It can go up to a 90fps frame rate. However, gaming on the curved display is always a bit tricky. It creates problems with the grip and can increase the chances of accidental touches.

We tested Note 50s 5G+ on some of the benchmark platforms, and it scored decently well. Got 599545 on AnTuTu v10.4.8, 939 on Geekbench CPU Single Core and 2899 on Geekbench CPU multi-core. Here are some benchmark results.

As for the software, Note 50s 5G+ runs on XOS based on the latest Android v15 out of the box. The UI is quite user-friendly. Some pre-installed apps are there, but you can easily get rid of anything unnecessary.

Last but not least, we are also getting the One-Tap Infinix AI features. It comes with AIGC Portrait Mode, AI Notes, AI Wallpaper Generator, AI Voice Assistant Folax, Call Assistant, Circle To Search and more.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Camera Performance

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Camera Performance

The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ features a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor paired with a 2MP shooter on the rear. For selfies and video calls, there is a 13MP front camera. Infinix claims this is the segment’s first Sony 64MP rear camera.

We felt the camera captures sharp, detailed photos that at one go seem perfect for social media. We tried getting some photos in different lighting and most came out solid. It maintains natural tones and balanced contrast. The low-light photos and shots taken after sunset came out clear. The 2X zoom is not always clear but it is still useful to have. We do wish there were an Ultrawide lens to make the whole camera system a little more versatile.

It has a dual video capture feature, which means you can record from both front and rear cameras at the same time. This can be very useful if you are a content creator.

As for videos, Note 50s 5g+ has 4K 30fps on both front and back. These are supported with decent stabilisation features. We tried capturing videos in different lighting and it result was good for a phone in this segment.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ Day Video

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ Night Video

Overall, the camera performance is good and completes the phone as an all-rounder. It may not be as versatile as some smartphone cameras of the day but it definitely does its job well.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – Battery

Note 50s 5G+ has a 5500 mAh battery capacity, which is impressive considering how slim the device profile is. Now, anything above 5000mAh is considered solid for a good full day’s power. We tried to test it and it lasted us almost a day with moderate to sometimes heavy usage.

There is also 45W fast charging with Infinix bundling the adapter inside the box. It is quite fast and is perfect for a quick power-up when needed. The phone comes with bypass charging feature as well, meaning it powers the phone directly and not the battery. This is believed to be a good feature to have for improving long-term battery performance.

Verdict – Should You Buy Infinix Note 50s 5G+?

Verdict – Should You Buy Infinix Note 50s 5G+?

It is the slimmest phone in the segment with 3D-curved display. It also has solid build quality with an IP64 rating and Military Grade certification. Telegram Adds Encrypted Group Calls, Business Tools and Smarter Gift Controls in Latest Update

0

Highlights

  • Telegram now supports end-to-end encrypted calls with up to 200 participants, screen sharing, invite links and blockchain-style security.
  • New AI-powered automation tools added for business accounts, better gift management, letting users customise gift visibility and preferences.
  • Telegram also introduced faster navigation gestures, easier account restriction appeals and streamlined reporting for unknown contacts.

Telegram has rolled out a new update packed with features like end-to-end encrypted group calls, automation tools for business accounts, better gift management, easier appeal options for restricted accounts, and new gestures for faster navigation. Here’s what’s new.

Encrypted Group Calls

Telegram now fully supports end-to-end encrypted group calls for privacy. These calls don’t need a group chat to start and are perfect for meetings or casual chats. Here’s what you get:

  • Up to 200 participants in a single call
  • Share audio, video, or your screen
  • Invite others using a link or QR code
  • Check encryption with four matching emojis on-screen

Telegram says these calls are completely private and protected by blockchain-style security, meaning no one, not even Telegram, can listen in. The company also highlighted that its code is open-source and it’s been offering $100,000 to anyone who can break its encryption for over a decade with no success so far.

To start a call, follow steps below –

  • From a call screen, tap “Add Person”
  • Or go to Calls Tab (enable it from Settings > Recent Calls), select contacts or tap “Create Call Link”
  • Share the link or generate a QR code via the ⋯ menu

New Tools for Telegram Business Accounts

If you use Telegram Business (part of Telegram Premium), you now get more automation. You can connect AI-powered chatbots to handle:

  • Replies
  • Profile updates
  • Payments
  • Story posting

There are also 10+ new permissions, like “Manage Messages” or “Manage Profile,” which let bots do specific tasks. You can tweak everything under Settings > Telegram Business > Chatbots.

Enhanced Gift Features

Telegram’s Gifts feature, launched last October, sees users exchange over 10 million gifts a month. These gifts use Stars and can be upgraded into blockchain collectables. With this update, you can:

  • Add a Gift button to your chat input field
  • Decide which gifts show up on your profile (from specific people, etc.)
  • Premium users can choose to receive only certain gift types like “Unique” or “Limited-Edition”

Manage gifts by going to –

  • Settings > Privacy & Security > Gifts
  • Or Settings > My Profile > Gifts Tab

From there, you can Show or hide gifts, Pin favourites, Wear them as a status, Transfer them to other users or a blockchain wallet and To send a gift, just tap “Send Gift” on someone’s profile.

Easier Account Restriction Appeals

Telegram says it’s fast and accurate at banning spam or scam accounts. Now, if your account gets restricted, it’s not logged out, you’ll see a “frozen” version that lets you appeal the decision. If the appeal is successful, you get full access back.

You can also block and report unknown contacts right from the top of a chat.

New Gestures for Faster Navigation

Telegram added quick gestures to make things smoother –

  • iOS and Android: Hold the share arrow, slide to a recent chat or “Saved Messages,” and release to forward faster

  • iOS only: Swipe right on your chat list or recent stories to launch the story editor

Update Availability

These features are part of Telegram version 11.9.1 or later, now rolling out to iOS and Android. Android users can download the latest version from telegram.org/android or the Google Play Store.

FAQs

Q1. What new features does Telegram’s latest update bring to group calls?

Answer. Telegram now supports end-to-end encrypted group calls with up to 200 participants, allowing screen sharing and inviting others via links or QR codes. Encryption is verified with four matching emojis on-screen for added security.

Q2. How has Telegram improved business accounts in this update?

Answer. Telegram Business users can now connect AI-powered chatbots to automate replies, profile updates, payments, and story posting. There are also 10+ new permissions for managing business tasks.

Apple is getting ready to open more retail stores in India. The company already has two stores, one in Mumbai and another in New Delhi, but now it’s expanding its presence across the country. The update came directly from Apple CEO Tim Cook during the company’s recent Q2 2025 earnings call. Here’s what we know.

More Apple Stores in India Soon

While discussing Apple’s performance, Cook said, “In retail, in addition to the two stores we opened during the quarter, we’re also looking forward to a new retail store in the UAE, the arrival of the online store in Saudi Arabia and new retail stores in India later this year.”

He didn’t say exactly how many stores are coming or where they’ll be located. But a recent report suggests that Apple is planning to open four new stores in India, which is most likely to be in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Noida.

According to the report, Apple has already picked out spots for at least two of those cities. The Pune store is expected to open in Kopa Mall, while the Noida store might be set up in Mall of India. The company is still scouting for locations in Bengaluru and Mumbai. If the Mumbai plan goes through, it would be the second Apple Store in the city, following Apple BKC.

Cook also shared another interesting detail that a big chunk of Apple products sold in the U.S. will soon be made in India and Vietnam.

“For the June quarter, we do expect the majority of the iPhones sold in the US will have India as their country of origin and Vietnam to be the country of origin for almost all iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods sold in the US,” he said.

Apple’s Current Stores in India

Apple currently runs two stores in the country –

  • Apple BKC in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, opened on April 18, 2023
  • Apple Saket in New Delhi, opened on April 20, 2023

FAQs

Q2. Where will the new Apple Stores be located?

Google Removes 1.8 Million Apps from Play Store in 2024 to Make Android Safer

0

Highlights

  • Google removed 1.8 million apps in 2024, cutting the total by 47% to make the Play Store safer.
  • Google blocked 2.36 million apps, banned 158,000 developer accounts, and introduced new verification/testing processes.
  • Despite removals, new app launches rose 7% YoY and EU regulations requiring developer address listings contributed to the decline.

image

The Google Play Store has seen a big drop in the number of apps available this year. According to a report from Appfigures, the total number of apps on the Play Store went from about 3.4 million at the start of 2024 to just 1.8 million by 2025, a sharp 47% decrease.

Meanwhile, Apple’s App Store actually grew slightly and now has around 1.64 million apps.

The massive cleanup is part of Google’s effort to make the Play Store safer for users. The company has been tightening its rules and cracking down on apps that break policies or pose security risks.

Google now uses a mix of human reviewers and AI tools to scan apps more thoroughly. It also introduced mandatory testing for all new developer accounts and expanded its developer verification process.

In 2024 alone, Google blocked 2.36 million apps for violating its policies. It also banned more than 158,000 developer accounts as part of its safety push.

Other factors may have contributed too. For example, new EU rules now require developers to publicly list their addresses, which may have prompted some to remove their apps. However, Apple followed the same rule without losing as many apps suggesting that Google’s stricter enforcement played the biggest role.

Even with the decline, Appfigures noted that the number of new apps launched on the Play Store has actually gone up by 7% year-over-year as of April 2025.

In the end, this cleanup may be a good thing for Android users. With fewer low-quality or risky apps, it’s now easier to discover safer and better apps on the Play Store.

FAQs

Q1. Why did Google remove 1.8 million apps from the Play Store in 2024?

Answer. Google is tightening its security measures, cracking down on apps that violate policies or pose security risks, using a mix of AI tools and human reviewers.

Q2. How many developer accounts were banned by Google?

Answer. Google banned 158,000 developer accounts and introduced mandatory testing for new developers, along with an expanded verification process.

Q3. Did the Play Store see any growth despite app removals?

Answer. Yes, despite a 47% decline in total apps, the number of new app launches increased by 7% year-over-year as of April 2025.

  • Android 16 to introduce a redesigned Status Bar with a bold 5G icon, left-aligned clock and new battery & charging icons.

Google is getting ready to launch Android 16 in the next couple of months and a new report reveals it’s bringing one of the biggest design changes in years. Along with earlier hints about updated Lock Screen widgets, the latest word points to a full visual refresh that includes changes to the Status Bar, Quick Settings and more. Here’s a round-up of all we know.

Android 16 – What to Expect?

As reported by Android Authority, Android 16 will give Android phones a cleaner and more modern look. Starting with the Status Bar, the update will include a bolder font for the 5G icon, a new left-aligned clock that appears bigger than in Android 15, and battery and charging icons redesigned to resemble iOS.

Revamped Notifications & Quick Settings

One of the biggest updates is coming to the Notifications and Quick Settings panel. Android 16 will bring a combined Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggle, a more streamlined tile editor, and the ability to resize Quick Settings tiles. There will also be a one-click shortcut for quickly adding or removing tiles. Even the brightness slider is getting a fresh new design.

The look of the Notifications and Quick Settings panel will now adjust based on your theme. In light mode, you’ll see a blurred, frosted glass background. In dark mode, the background will become a deeper grey tone.

More UI Changes

That same blurred background effect is also reportedly coming to other parts of the system like the Pixel Launcher’s app drawer, the PIN entry screen and the Recents menu.

Google is also planning some small but noticeable UI tweaks. The date and weather will now show below the time on the home and lock screens. There’s also a new Compact Notification Shelf, which is an optional feature that collapses all lock screen notifications into a tiny translucent button below the clock. Samsung is reportedly going back to its original plan for this year’s foldables. A new report says the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 chip, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will stick with a Snapdragon processor.

There’s been a lot of confusion around this decision. At first, Samsung was expected to use the Exynos 2500 in the Flip 7, marking the first time a foldable from the brand would move away from Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon chips. But after some performance and production issues with Exynos, reports suggested the company might revert to Snapdragon for both models.

Now, it looks like Samsung is sticking with the Exynos plan for the Flip 7 after all.

According to a report from Chosun Daily, Samsung’s decision comes down to two main factors, which are cost and chip yield. Qualcomm’s chip apparently raised costs by “more than 20%,” which would’ve been hard to absorb in the Flip 7’s pricing.

“It appears the company has determined that yield has stabilised to a workable level. The relatively smaller shipment volumes of foldable phones, compared to the Galaxy S series, also made it easier to opt for Exynos,” an industry official was quoted in Chosun Daily report on condition of anonymity.

Even though the Exynos 2500 yield is still low, around 20–40%, far below Samsung’s usual target of 60% for large-scale production, the company is moving forward with it anyway. The cost savings seem to outweigh the concerns, especially since the Flip model is more price-sensitive than the Fold.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will continue to use Snapdragon, likely because it’s positioned as the more premium device.

Samsung is expected to officially launch the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 in July.

FAQs

Q1. What processors will the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 use?

Answer. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chip, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will continue using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor.

Q2. Why did Samsung choose Exynos 2500 for the Flip 7 instead of Snapdragon?

Answer. Samsung opted for Exynos 2500 in the Flip 7 due to cost savings, as using Snapdragon would have raised costs by more than 20%. Despite low yield rates, Samsung is moving forward with Exynos.

Q3. When will the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 launch?

Answer. Samsung is expected to officially launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 in July.

Apple has announced its earnings for fiscal Q2 2025, reporting $95.4 billion in revenue for the quarter. This is up from $90.75 billion during the same period last year. This number also beats Wall Street’s expectations of $94.68 billion. Profit for the quarter stood at $24.78 billion.

In terms of earnings per share, Apple delivered $1.65, slightly above the $1.63 expected by investors.

Here’s a quick look at the major numbers –

  • Total revenue – $95.4 billion
  • iPhone revenue – $46.84 billion
  • Mac revenue – $7.95 billion
  • iPad revenue – $6.4 billion
  • Wearables, Home, and Accessories – $7.52 billion
  • Services revenue – $26.64 billion

Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted the company’s growth in services and new product launches.

“Today Apple is reporting strong quarterly results, including double-digit growth in Services, said Tim Cook. “We were happy to welcome iPhone 16e to our lineup, and to introduce powerful new Macs and iPads that take advantage of the extraordinary capabilities of Apple silicon. And we were proud to announce that we’ve cut our carbon emissions by 60 percent over the past decade,” Cook further added.

CFO Kevan Parekh also noted solid cash flow and customer loyalty, “Our March quarter business performance drove EPS growth of 8 percent and $24 billion in operating cash flow, allowing us to return $29 billion to shareholders,” he said. “And thanks to our high levels of customer loyalty and satisfaction, our installed base of active devices once again reached a new all-time high across all product categories and geographic segments.”

Will Apple Raise Product Prices?

During the earnings call, Tim Cook addressed the possibility of product price hikes due to tariffs. Apple expects to absorb $900 million in tariff costs this quarter. For now, that cost isn’t being passed on to customers but Cook didn’t rule out future increases.

“Obviously, we’re very engaged on the tariff discussions,” Cook said.

“We believe in engagement and will continue to engage. On the pricing piece, we have nothing to announce today. I’ll just say that the operational team has done an incredible job around optimizing the supply chain of the inventory, and we’ll obviously continue to do those things to the degree that we can,” Cook explains.

Apple is already shifting manufacturing out of China, ramping up production in India for U.S.-bound devices and using Vietnam for other hardware. Still, tariff exemptions could change, especially if U.S. trade policy tightens.

Tim Cook’s full quote from the earnings call – “Now let me walk you through the impacts of tariffs in the March quarter and give you on what we expect for the June quarter. For the March quarter, we had a limited impact from tariffs as we were able to optimize our supply chain and inventory. For the June quarter, currently we are not able to precisely estimate the impact of tariffs as we are uncertain of potential future actions prior to the end of the quarter. However, for some color, assuming the current global tariff rates, policies, and applications do not change for the balance of the quarter, and no new tariffs are added, we estimate the impact to add $900 million to our costs. This estimate should not be used to make projections for future quarters, as there are certain factors that benefit the June quarter. For our part, we will manage the company the way we always have, with thoughtful and deliberate decisions, with a focus on investing for the long term, and with dedication to innovation and the possibilities it creates.”

As of now, Apple product prices remain unchanged but that could shift depending on future trade decisions.

Xiaomi has officially launched its first open-source large language AI model named MiMo-7B. Created by its newly formed Big Model Core Team, MiMo-7B is built to handle reasoning-heavy tasks and coding.

According to reports, the AI Model is already outperforming some big names in the field such as OpenAI and Alibaba when it comes to math and code-related benchmarks. Here’s what we know about the model as of now.

Xiaomi MiMo-7B

image

Xiaomi’s MiMo-7B is a 7-billion-parameter model. Even though it’s much smaller than most of today’s top models, Xiaomi says it can match the performance of larger systems like OpenAI’s o1-mini and Alibaba’s Qwen-32B-Preview. All three models are designed for tasks that involve logical reasoning.

How Xiaomi MiMo-7B Was Trained?

The strength of MiMo-7B comes from its intense training process. Xiaomi put together a dense dataset with 200 billion reasoning tokens and trained the model with a total of 25 trillion tokens across three phases.

Instead of the usual next-token prediction method, Xiaomi used a multiple-token prediction approach, which it says speeds up inference without sacrificing quality.

After pre-training, Xiaomi applied several techniques to fine-tune the model. It introduced a unique reinforcement learning method called Test Difficulty Driven Reward to solve the issue of weak reward signals in complex RL tasks. It also used something called Easy Data Re-Sampling to keep the training stable.

On the infrastructure side, Xiaomi built a Seamless Rollout system that helps reduce GPU downtime during training and validation. Thanks to this, Xiaomi claims a 2.29× boost in training speed and nearly 2× better validation performance. This system also supports more advanced inference strategies like multiple-token prediction in vLLM environments.

MiMo-7B Goes Open Source

image

There are four versions of MiMo-7B available to the public:

  • Base – The raw, pre-trained version
  • SFT – Fine-tuned using supervised learning
  • RL-Zero – Reinforcement-learned from the base version
  • RL – Built on top of the SFT version, this one is said to deliver the best accuracy

And Xiaomi has benchmark scores to back it up. The MiMo-7B-RL model reportedly scores

  • 8% on MATH-500
  • Over 68% on the 2024 AIME dataset
  • 8% on LiveCodeBench v5
  • Just under 50% on LiveCodeBench v6

For broader tasks like DROP, MMLU-Pro, and GPQA, the scores sit in the mid-to-high 50% range, not groundbreaking, but pretty solid for a 7B model.

You can now find MiMo-7B on Hugging Face under an open-source license. If you want to dive deeper, all the model checkpoints and documentation are available on GitHub.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is just a couple of weeks away from launch. While a lot of key product details are already out in the open, we now have the full picture of what to expect in terms of specs from this super-slim smartphone, thanks to a new leak. Here’s all we know.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Specs Leaked

The latest leak, shared by WinFuture, includes detailed images and the full spec sheet of the Galaxy S25 Edge, confirming nearly everything about the device.

image image image

Caption – Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge leaked renders. (Image credit – WinFuture)

As previously rumoured, the phone is just 5.85mm thick, making it one of Samsung’s slimmest phones yet. It also uses some interesting new materials. The back is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the display is covered with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, not the Gorilla Armor 2 used on the S25 Ultra.  The display itself is a 6.7-inch 1440p panel.

The new leak also confirms previous rumours that the Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, along with 12GB of RAM. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB variants.

One of the biggest trade-offs for the slim design is the battery. It’s confirmed to have a 3,900 mAh battery, just like earlier rumours suggested. That’s 1,000 mAh less than what you get in the Galaxy S25+, or about 20% less capacity. On the plus side, the phone is very light, weighing only 163g.

The phone will be available in three colours, Titanium Silver, Titanium Icyblue and Titanium Jet Black.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge – Camera Specs

We recently found out that the selfie camera will use Samsung’s S5K3LU sensor with a 1/3.2″ type size. Now, the same source has revealed full camera details for the device.

image image

Caption – Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge rear cameras. (Image credit – SammyGuru

The Galaxy S25 Edge won’t have a telephoto camera, but it will feature the same 200 MP main sensor found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, using a 1/1.3″ sensor. The ultrawide camera is a 12 MP unit with a 1/2.55″ sensor, identical to what’s found on the Galaxy S25 and S25+. That means the S25 Ultra’s 50 MP ultrawide camera will remain exclusive to that model.

While the lack of a dedicated telephoto lens might disappoint some, the 200 MP main camera is capable of delivering solid 2x zoom shots. We saw this in action in the Galaxy S25 Ultra review. Customers will probably be eyeing the S25 Edge for how slim it is, not for top-tier camera performance.

And unlike the iPhone 17 Air, it at least includes an ultrawide shooter.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge – Launch Date and Other Speculations

image

Caption – Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch date hinted at in recently leaked marketing poster. (Image credit – @evleaks on X)

Leaker Evan Blass on X (formerly Twitter) account @evleaks recently shared a teaser for the S25 Edge launch event, which was quickly taken down by Samsung. This somehow confirms that the official announcement is set for May 13.

If the latest rumours are correct, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be announced on May 13 with the release happening on May 23 in Korea and China. It’s expected to roll out to other markets including the US on May 30.

There’s been some chatter that Samsung might rename the device to “Galaxy S25 Slim” after a mention on its website. However, that seems unlikely. Samsung has already made the “Edge” branding public, used it in official announcements and even mentioned it during their most recent earnings call. The “Slim” mention was probably just a simple mistake on Samsung’s part.
