How Esports is Different from Fantasy Gaming and Real Money Gaming

0

There is a wide misconception in India that igaming/egaming (real money gaming) is the same as esports, infact the confusion extends into sports fantasy as well. In India, over the course of 2020 with COVID-19 lockdown in place, we saw a boom in digital entertainments mainly real money gaming and esports. These developments have led to growing concerns that the structural boundaries between real money gaming (i.e., fantasy, teen patti, rummy, poker, gambling, betting, online gaming, casinos, lotteries etc.) and esports may potentially become indistinguishable, if not addressed now.

It also comes down to the conventions of naming (or nomenclature), and generational differences, the confusion of what new words mean, and finally the unpopularity of etymology in modern times.

The term gaming refers to the act of playing video games, while the term igaming was created to cover “online betting of real-world events with real world currency”. igaming refers to internet for-profit games such as online poker, online bingo, online casinos, sports betting and lotteries.

Gaming on the other hand, is a formalized expression of play. Games can come in different types and genres; they can involve social play or role-playing, they can comprise board games such as Monopoly or Scrabble, they may include video games which are played on a game console (e.g., Call of Duty, Need for Speed-which is a car racing game, FIFA-simulation game for football etc), or may come in the form of electronic/digital games played via a computer or smartphone (e.g., Candy Crush Saga).

India is the only country where we are seeing this confusion in regards to esports and online gaming. People in India are ignoring the well-established definition of “esports” and many are coming up with their definitions as per their own narrative and benefit. In line with the established definitions for “esports”, Esports Federation of India has also given the definition for “esports”. Let’s analyze the distinction between esports and real money gaming and why it’s important to tell them apart.

Real Money Gaming and Fantasy Gaming

Fantasy Gaming: Online Fantasy (Sportsbooks): Players bet on sports from their homes or on their mobile devices, online bookmakers as an easy way to get access to sports betting around the clock. Fantasy has a major element of betting which comes in when you pay money to register your virtual team for a contest with other virtual teams. Here the winners gain money from the losers, with the platform taking a cut. Courts have so far ruled that picking a fantasy team involves strategy, and so it doesn’t come under the purview of gambling, like in a card game or roulette that’s based more on chance.

Real Money Gaming: It means the offering, distribution, advertising, promotion and sale of any type of game played via online media in which real money is wagered on the outcome of the game.

Fantasy gaming has also been confused with esports, mainly due to some amount of skill involved in this virtual space of competition based on real sports. The main ideology between gambling is it being a game of chance, while esports is purely a game of skill. Thus, many older people and the gambling industry ‘mistake’ esports and (real money gaming) igaming/egaming.

Esports and how it is Different

Esports managed to go from nearly 385 million views to an impressive 454 million over a period of one year in 2019. This kind of rapid growth for an industry had a great influence on making it an inviting field for the gambling industry to have an incentive to be recognized under the same umbrella term.

“Esports managed to go from nearly 385 million views to an impressive 454 million over a period of one year in 2019. This kind of rapid growth for an industry had a great influence on making it an inviting field for the gambling industry to have an incentive to be recognized under the same umbrella term”

Esports is a sport, and has been recognized by several countries. India won a bronze medal in Asian Games2018 where esports was a demonstration title and will be a medal sport in the upcoming Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games2021 (Thailand). Esports has now been included in Asian Games 2022 as a proper medal event and once the game titles are announced, we will start getting our teams ready; last time we got Bronze and this time we have to get Gold.

Olympics have also recognized esports as a sport and have recently launched Olympic Virtual Series.

Basically, it is competitive video game playing, coordinated by different structures and leagues, where players participate in group gaming competitions. Viewers can watch professional gamers compete against each other in a variety of games.

There are only select genres of video games which fall under esports, these are:

a).Real-time Strategy (RTS): Clash Royale etc.

b).Fighting: Tekken7

c).First-person Shooter (FPS): Counter Strike, Call of Duty etc.

d).Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA): League of Legends, Arena of Valor, DOTA2 etc.

e).Sports: FIFA, PES, Asphalt etc.

Please note that competing with each other for casual or hyper casual games online/offline is not esports. Similarly, playing multiplayer video games online/offline is not esports, for example, if you are playing ludo online/offline with your friends, it’s not esports.

Esports tournaments can be held online and/or offline or both.

Esports communities have evolved with esports also becoming a spectator sport. Whether engaging in esports for the competition or for fun and entertainment, esports have garnered a huge following via online streaming platforms such as Twitch, Facebook and YouTube.

Skill in Esports or why Esports is a Real Sport

The rapidly-growing phenomenon, which has skill involved in mastering a video/online game, has led to the professionalization of esports. There may be motivational differences between casual/recreational players and those seeking high levels of competition.

Just like any athlete, esports athletes have trained their body and visceral reactions in the competitive environment. Though to someone who does not know what is happening, it might seem like the esports athlete is just mashing buttons, but the perceptual acuity of first-person shooter play, for example, where their knowledge of game maps and weapons meet interpretive wok in elaborate hand eye coordination can leave the average players head spinning it, they were to face them in the game. At the topmost level, embodied skills must be naturalized to a degree that its unconscious in order for true mastery occurs.

It requires years of commitment and dedication to reach the level of a professional and still be beaten by someone who’s practiced more. The same way traditional sports shape embodied actions, with constant and rigorous practice, esports players exhibit physical-technological skills within larger team concepts all with practice and intensive routines.

These factors clearly embed esports as a professional sport, even the level of luck involved is no different from the traditional sports. While gambling or real money gaming depends largely on luck and very little to no skill involved, pairing the 2 together is in a way disgracing and resenting to acknowledge the skill of these pro esports athletes.

Importance of telling Esports apart from Fantasy and Real Money Gaming

The blurry lines between esports and real money gaming are causing redundant problems to the esports community. Last year, the Andhra Pradesh government on September 4 had declared online gambling activities illegal and blocked 132 websites, along with EA games website, Miniclip games and Zapak. EA games have the popular esports title FIFA series under its belt, while Miniclip’s website offers a choice between hundreds of flash games that can be played on the browser. Both the sites are no way involved in money related activities.  Such unfortunate mishaps can be avoided by understanding the differences.

While the community does what it needs to be done, the government recognition of esports as a sport is must, but we are very optimistic it will happen soon, the government is also opening up, it was in 2019 that SEPC (unit of Ministry of Industry & Commerce) along with ESFI did “Nations Cup” an  international esports championship, which was India’s first esports backed fully by the government; recently esports was also part of the starred questions in Parliament on 4th Feb, 2021 and the Ministry of Sports tabled its reply in which they said “esports is an emerging platform for the youth population in the country. There are large numbers of esports enthusiasts in our country. It is included in Asian Games 2022 as a medal sport discipline but not yet included in the Olympics.

“Esports is a sport, and has been recognized by several countries. India won a bronze medal in Asian Games 2018 where esports was a demonstration title and will be a medal sport in the upcoming Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2021 (Thailand). Esports has now been included in Asian Games 2022 as a proper medal event”

Esports is different from gaming or igaming and gambling, etc. as former is skill based while the latter are chance based; these are good signs for our esports ecosystem.

The esports community wants and requires esports to be recognized by the government as a sport in India, to gain the benefits and support that any sports community and athletes would receive, these misconceptions are hurdles towards that goal. Currently, esports in India is considered as an entertainment and not a sport, the government is yet to recognize it as a sport. Esports athletes, organizers and everyone involved end up paying a 35% entertainment tax because of this, whereas the sports tax in India is at 20%.

The esports community wants and requires esports to be recognized by the government as a sport in India, to gain the benefits any sports community and athletes would receive. This itself hampers the growth of esports in our country in a significant manner, as players don’t get benefits like any other sports; be it training, wellbeing, job security (sports quota). Esports is growing, and we need to establish a wider wireframe to support the ecosystem so that new skilled esports athletes can grow from all over India and we can win many Gold medals for India.

The Ministry of Sports should immediately recognize esports as a sport like our neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal have done.

Data security concerns compel ByteDance to shelve IPO indefinitely

0

TikTok owner ByteDance has put on hold its plans for initial public offering (IPO) after Chinese regulators warned the company of data security risks.

According to reports, the Chinse internet tech behemoth made the decision to postpone the IPO in late March following the recommendations from the country’s cyberspace and securities regulators to focus on addressing data-security risks before listing offshore.

ByteDance has been considering an IPO of all or some of its businesses in the United States or Hong Kong for some time now. It also had other reasons for delaying the listing, including not having a chief financial officer at the time, said reports.

ByteDance reportedly became one of 13 internet companies asked by the Chinese government to adhere to much stricter data regulation and lending practices.

As per Wall Street Journal, observers are saying that given the current situation, more Chinese firms that intend to list in the US would have a second thought amid the country’s tightening security on data protection.

The review is believed to be another example of Beijing’s crackdown on influential IT giants. Last week, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SMAR) handed fines to the country’s internet giants, including Tencent, Alibaba and Didi Chuxing, after probing 22 cases of illegal operations in the internet sector.

The market regulator had said that all the cases are violations of the country’s anti-monopoly law, and the companies involved have been fined about USD 77,206 for each case, as per Global Times.

WhatsApp Disappearing messages feature available on iOS now but in beta version

0

Although it’s already available for Android users, the much-talked-about WhatsApp Disappearing messages feature is coming soon for iOS users too. As per reports, the Facebook-owned popular messaging platform has started rolling out this feature for iOS beta users.

If all goes well in the beta-phase, the final version of the much-awaited feature will soon hit iOS. While the exact timeline is not known, the Disappearing messages feature is expected to be introduced in the next few weeks, in a phased manner.

It must be noted that the Disappearing messages isn’t about texts only. There’s also disappearing media, which goes away as soon as the recipient opens it. The feature is like one of those disappearing videos and photos, which you can send in Instagram’s chat. Instagram calls this feature “view once” and has to be available to both parties, whereas the Disappearing text messages take 7 days before they disappear.

Interestingly, there’s a dedicated timer in the caption input field when sending media and the sender receives a notification once the recipient has viewed the photo/video message.

Microsoft acquires RiskIQ to boost hybrid work cybersecurity

0

Microsoft has acquired RiskIQ, a leader in global threat intelligence and attack surface management, in an effort to improve hybrid work cybersecurity. The COVID-19 pandemic has altered the workforce, leading many organizations to speed up their remote and hybrid work strategies. Despite the advantages of this approach, cybersecurity can pose additional challenges as people work remotely, often using their personal devices and computers.

“With more than a decade of experience scanning and analysing the internet, RiskIQ can help enterprises identify and remediate vulnerable assets before an attacker can capitalise on them,” said Eric Doerr, Vice President, Cloud Security at Microsoft.

RiskIQ offers a cloud-based SaaS cybersecurity platform. It helps companies provide security beyond the firewall, analyzing and assessing the overall attack surface of the entire organization. This includes cloud resources of a company, supply chains and on-premise resources.

Elias Manousos, RiskIQ cofounder and CEO, said, “We’re thrilled to add RiskIQ’s Attack Surface and Threat Intelligence solutions to the Microsoft Security portfolio, extending and accelerating our impact. Our combined capabilities will enable best-in-class protection, investigations, and response against today’s threats.”

The tech giant has been enhancing its security tools amid serious cyber attacks on its network via third-party vendors like SolarWinds.

Last month, Microsoft acquired ReFirm Labs to help protect servers and Internet of Things (IoT) devices from cyber attacks.

Infinix Note 10 Review: Having potentials to take on heavyweights in the market

0

Infinix seems to be on a roll nowadays with back to back launches that received rave reviews in the recent past. Following the successful roll-out of gaming-centric Hot 10S with an upgraded Helio G85 processor, Infinix has now upped their game with Note 10 and Note 10 Pro smartphones with features and specs that could give other brands a run for their money. Although the Infinix Note-series has always been a hot cake for the brand, it’s even better this time, keeping up with the trend and having the capabilities to take on heavyweights like Xiaomi, Realme, Samsung and Vivo. While the Note 10 starts at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, we have got the 6GB + 128GB model priced at Rs 11,999 for review. Let’s find out where it stands in the highly competitive segment.

Design

We had the 7 Degree Purple colour variant, which looks really nice, rather premium, if we look at its dual-tone design on the back with a gradient finish and stripes pattern and having a beautiful shade of light purple around the edges. The Infinix Note 10 is made of polycarbonate, similar to the Hot 10S, however it doesn’t look cheap and inferior unlike many other smartphones in the given price bracket. It catches no fingerprint smudges on the back.

There’s a protruding rectangular camera module on the top left and Infinix’s branding at the bottom of the back panel. At the front, you get a hole-punch display with slim bezels and a slightly thicker chin, which looks fine with the display size as big as 6.95-inch. There’s a SIM-tray on the left side of the device, whereas on the right you get the volume rockers and the power button with integrated fingerprint sensor. While there’s nothing on the top, the bottom of the phone features a Type-C port, a mic, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a speaker grille.

Although it’s reasonably a good phone to look at, the Infinix Note 10 is bigger in size, but it is easier to hold in your hand as the back curves and melts over the edges. Neither is it too heavy. The large size may make this phone difficult to use for many as it’s definitely not good for one hand operation but those who prefer big displays for watching videos, playing games and taking online classes would fall in love with this phone.

Display

The Infinix Note 10 sports a 6.95-inch Full HD+ Super Fluid display with a screen resolution of 1080×2460 pixels, and a refresh rate of 60Hz which definitely is a bit of disappointment as phone lovers now look for 90Hz refresh rate, a standard trend now. It comes with a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, which helps in making the screen more responsive.

Taken as a whole, the display is decent and does feel a little more responsive than other 60Hz panels. In terms of brightness, the handset has an impeccably bright display for indoor usage, but it’s a bit difficult to use under direct/bright sunlight. The display brightness is not a problem under a shade or low light conditions. If we talk about colour accuracy, it’s an insignificant issue unless your main priority is a good display. Anyway, you would love watching videos and movies on this phone, thanks to the size of the display which dominates other aspects of the screen.

Platform

The smartphone uses the MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and Mali G-52 MC2 GPU. It runs XOS 7.6 which is based on Android 11.

Performance-wise, the Note 10 showed no sign of slowing down while multi-tasking or switching apps. It was able to handle day-to-day tasks – such as browsing social media and other internet activities – and other more stringent processes like gaming with ease. Although it heated up a bit during gaming, the Infinix Note 10 didn’t affect the performance of the device, especially in terms of running the game or in terms of switching apps. Using the smartphone was a pleasant experience over all.

On the flipside, the smartphone comes preloaded with a lot of bloatware and many rather needless UI features that you’ll open by mistake and they will irritate you. There are lots of ads and notifications turned on by default on XOS 7.6 and dismissing the notifications also takes some getting used to as they are only dismissed by swiping right.

Interestingly, the Infinix Note 10 also comes with dual speakers with DTS surround sound that enhances your listening experience while watching movies or playing games like never before, at this price point. It’s a treat for users who are looking for a smartphone, especially for media consumption, thanks to the deadly combination of dual speakers with 6.95-inch screen.

Cameras

The handset packs a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. There’s no wide-angle lens on this phone. On the front, it comes with a 16-megapixel selfie snapper. In terms of performance, the camera clicks good pictures in daylight conditions and outdoors. The portrait mode on the smartphone is quite good and maintains focus on the subject very well. Likewise, the AI does a decent job in blurring the background and trimming the edges of the subject. The camera is fairly decent in lowlight conditions as well, and clicks good pictures for your social media posts.

The front camera also performs well and comes with features like portrait mode and beauty mode. It also supports Super Low Light mode. It clicks good pictures/selfies in well-lit environments and is also good enough for video calls. The video quality is decent and is good enough to make basic videos for posting on social media platforms.

Keeping up with the trend, the camera app on the Infinix Note 10 has a short video feature that puts filters on videos and captures a maximum of 30-second clips. It’s an exciting feature for those who are on the short video platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, MX TakaTak, JL Stream, to name a few.

Battery

The battery life is quite impressive and it excels in this department. The device went easily over a day on heavy usage like gaming and watching videos. It gave over 48 hours of backup on light to moderate usage such as browsing social media, listening to music and doing other internet activities on phone. Unlike its pro variant which has 33W fast charging support, the Infinix Note 10 comes with only 18W charging speed. Although it’s a nice upgrade from its precursors, the all-new Infinix phone took almost two and a half hours to charge fully from zero.

Conclusion

The smartphone has got a pleasing design but it’s a little too big in size, however it’s an excellent device for watching videos, online learning and gaming, owing to the 6.95-inch display. It’s fairly good for multitasking and switching between apps. The smartphone justifies its price, if we look at its processor, cameras and other specs. The charging time is an issue, which the company should take note of in future. Bloatware is also a problem over here but one can manage it effectively.

“The understanding of Indian market is pTron’s biggest strength”

0

There is no looking back for pTron in India ever since it came into being in 2014. The domestic brand has evolved over the years and diversified its product portfolio to gain a strong foothold in the mobile accessories market. The company aims to make technology affordable and accessible to all, even as consumers have always seen it as a value for money brand. Ramesh Kumar Raja talked to Ameen Khwaja, Founder and CEO, pTron, to discuss the brand’s positioning and offerings in India, besides its strategy to be a prominent player in the given space. Excerpts:

You offer a wide range of products, from earphones and Bluetooth speakers to smart wearables and handset accessories. Which among them is a dominant vertical for pTron?

pTron is poised as a challenger brand, making waves in the mobile phone accessories segment across categories. Our current catalogue comprises 200-plus SKUs ranging from wired earphones, wireless earphones / headsets and true wireless earbuds to Bluetooth speakers, smart wearables, power banks, chargers, cables and more. True wireless and wireless neckband are predominantly an important category for us. Our Bassbuds and Basspods series of TWS that sell across online and offline platforms are the best-performing and largest selling category.

Please tell us something about R&D and innovation at pTron?

pTron focuses on component level detailing of all its products and has an extensive control over its cost and quality. This implies having strong relations with cost efficient and reliable manufacturing partners. With these capabilities and having our own in-house design team, we are developing our product design competence and have filed several patents already. Thereby, we can vouch for the originality and distinctiveness of our products. Also, we have a strict quality control procedure in place, through which all our products go through five levels of quality check to ensure that a consumer does not face any issue with our products. Additionally, pTron offers six months to a year of replacement warranty on all the products.

Our biggest strength is our control over manufacturing and understanding of Indian market and the consumer. More importantly, all our products are certified by FCC (US), CE (Europe), BIS (India) and Bluetooth (by BQB labs). Very few Indian brands in our segment and category can claim to have these.

In the last three years, pTron has been known for bringing breakthrough and innovative mobile audio and lifestyle accessories to the Indian market. With easy access to industry leading technology and world-class teams of designers and engineers through our solution partners globally, we are able to bring innovative and affordable products to the market much faster than our competitors. With BOM level access to components and PCBs, we are able to create and make new technologies accessible to our consumers even in this highly-crowded market due to our trusted and reliable partnership with manufacturers who we work with.

You have recently ventured into production in India. Could you comment on that and share your future plans to further this initiative?

Our vertical capabilities in design engineering and manufacturing makes it possible for us to delight the customers with amazing, affordable and well-built products that disrupt the fast-paced mobility market.

We are constantly growing, and to overcome the challenges of the manufacturing landscape induced by the COVID impact, we kick-started our India plant at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh in August 2020. We are the first Indian company to design, engineer and manufacture a true wireless earbud in India under the government’s Make in India initiative. We have trained and skilled manpower who have the expertise to precisely integrate electronic and mechanical components of a variety of materials into tight spaces without compromising performance. At pTron, form factor no longer limits performance.

As we continue to drive the audio accessories market in India, we are focused on ramping up our capabilities in terms of skilled manpower, advanced machinery and equipment, and a dedicated team of trained and experienced resources for advanced testing and research as we scale up gradually to include more products under our Make in India catalogue.

India can become the next hub of consumer electronics manufacturing through the “Make in India” initiative. Manufacturing base of certain products like PCBs and moulds can be brought back to India, provided the manufacturers are given subsidies and infrastructure for manufacturing. By doing this, we can have better control on the product quality and pricing. This will also generate huge job opportunities in India. However, we need to organize and strengthen local infrastructure, availability of raw materials and machineries, and skilled human resources.

“We are the first Indian company to design, engineer and manufacture a true wireless earbud in India under the government’s Make in India initiative. We have trained and skilled manpower who have the expertise to precisely integrate electronic and mechanical components of a variety of materials into tight spaces without compromising performance”

How’s the brand pTron positioned itself in a hyper-competitive market like India which has a number of big and small players from India and abroad?

pTron’s vision is to make technology affordable and accessible to all. Until 2019, pTron’s products were in demand from consumers who mostly wanted to make a switch from unbranded accessory to more reliable branded accessory with warranty. But now, we are competing with many global and national brands in almost all the categories. In fact, we are the best sellers in the TWS category followed by the wireless neckband category. Consumers have always seen pTron as a “value for money” brand and it sells more organically by word of mouth than by large branding and advertising spend. So, we provide the products with the comparable features and quality as the competitor at 25-30% lesser price, in most of the cases.

How are your products gaining traction in the market?

We have reached a milestone of selling 3 lakh pieces per month and hope that we will reach a target of selling 6 million pieces per year, in the next two to three years. We also plan to increase the SKUs to about 250.

Which are the areas from where maximum demand is coming for the pTron products in India?

Our consumer base is equally distributed across the country geographically. However, in the last 6-7 months, we have seen 30-35% more demand from South India where the maximum pull is from online customers spread across various marketplaces – Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Reliance Digital and many more.

What is your approach to the “after-sales service” which remains an issue for the majority of electronics companies?

As an industry trend, the number of issues reported in lifestyle accessories is generally higher as compared to other appliances and gadgets. Though our products are built to last and supported by brand warranty, there can be occasions of failure as most of these products are made for active usage. Unlike other brands, we have a dedicated in-house and trained team to take care of post-sales consumer queries and guide customers on troubleshooting and warranty claim process as the case may be. We are able to resolve most cases with a positive response within the specified TAT (turnaround time).

What do you do to increase the recall value of your brand?

In the past few years, we have worked enormously to establish the right association with our customers through good storytelling and visibility across platforms where our consumers are present.

We closely work with content creators and storytellers on social media. There is a constant focus on generating great visual content that adds depth to the brand’s identity and makes it memorable. We are constantly developing strategies, ideas, experience and collaboration that create the recall for pTron in the consumers’ mind.

There is a parallel grey market in India thriving on counterfeit accessories and devices. How do you deal with them?

Lot of awareness has been created by brands like pTron for the consumers to be able to choose the right product. There is a shift in consumer preference, customers have now become more careful in purchasing decisions and for a marginally higher price, if one gets a product with warranty, a product that is safe to use, then consumers gravitate towards such a brand. This is precisely why pTron has succeeded and continues to do so. We strongly believe that stringent laws and consumer awareness will help in eliminating this parallel grey market to a large extent. With increasing consumer demand, we are also seeing regulatory reforms coming in, like requirement of BIS certificate for chargers and power banks.

The emergence of IoT has opened a new avenue of growth for many tech companies. Is pTron leveraging this trend?

Right now, consumers are focusing on smart wearables like fitness activity trackers and smart watches which help them maintain an active lifestyle. IoT within the possibilities that exist today, seems the most obvious thing to happen next.

Whether it’s helping you keep a track of your heart rate, ensuring you have your daily dose of water, the number of calories you burnt etc. All these gadgets can improve your life. I strongly feel that IoT is the next big thing. It has been developing at breakneck speeds since the very moment of its inception, often rapidly changing directions and taking new and unexpected forms – from leisure to workplace to healthcare.

With rapidly evolving consumer demand, IoT has become a commonplace, faster than many people anticipated. We are already planning to launch our own range of IoT products. Though consumers currently find other brands expensive, pTron will launch its IoT products at such price points that most consumers will find it reasonable and affordable. We are game for the opportunities this fast-evolving industry brings to us.

“pTron’s vision is to make technology affordable and accessible to all. Until 2019, pTron’s products were in demand from consumers who mostly wanted to make a switch from unbranded accessory to more reliable branded accessory with warranty. But now, we are competing with many global and national brands in almost all the categories”

Online or offline – which platform yields maximum revenue for you?

pTron products are mostly sold online. Initially, we were only selling it online and targeted tier-1 cities. pTron’s growth has been promising since its inception. Till now, we have sold more than 7 million units of pTron mobile accessories in various categories.

pTron products are available at around 1,000 retail outlets in India with a strong distribution network in a number of states like Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, etc. For FY 21-22, we will work aggressively on expanding our online and offline distribution to sell additional 5 million units of pTron gadgets.
