  • This change addresses user complaints from the M4 model, where the landscape-only camera placement felt awkward for vertical use.

Apple made a notable design change with last year’s M4 iPad Pro by shifting the front-facing camera from the top edge to the side. Now, according to a new report from Bloomberg, the upcoming M5 iPad Pro is set to bring another key update to its camera setup.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman reveals, “Apple is apparently adding a second, portrait-side front-facing camera to the upcoming M5 iPad Pro, presumably so FaceTimers and selfie fans can use the device equally well in either orientation. This isn’t particularly revolutionary, but it’s a nice enhancement.”

The update appears aimed at addressing user complaints that arose after Apple relocated the front-facing camera to the landscape edge in the M4 model. Some users found the change inconvenient for video calls and selfies when holding the iPad vertically.

Interestingly, despite not seeing widespread criticism from iPad Pro users regarding the camera’s new placement, it’s still a bit surprising to see Apple taking this step. That said, adding a second front-facing camera doesn’t seem to have any real downside. While the dual-camera setup may look slightly awkward at first glance, the front camera typically blends seamlessly into the iPad Pro’s bezels.

The M5 iPad Pro is expected to launch later this year. Apart from the upgraded front-facing camera system and the faster M5 chip, no other major changes are anticipated. Notably, this will be the first Apple device powered by the M5 chip with the first M5 Macs scheduled to debut in the first half of 2026.

The OnePlus 15T may have just made its first unofficial appearance online. A new leak has surfaced, showing what’s believed to be the upcoming compact flagship from OnePlus. This is hinting at a smaller display and slim design, possibly continuing the trend of pocket-friendly premium phones.

OnePlus 15T Appears in Leaked Image

The image comes from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared a photo on Weibo showing four compact smartphones. While DCS didn’t name any of the devices, a report from NotebookCheck suggests that the OnePlus 15T is likely the fourth phone from the right in the image.

Though details are still limited, this could be our first glimpse at the OnePlus 15T, which is expected to be the successor to the OnePlus 13T (also known as OnePlus 13s globally). This has been widely regarded as the brand’s first compact flagship.

Compact high-end smartphones are making a return, and OnePlus may be joining the likes of Xiaomi and Vivo in this space. DCS also mentioned that other brands like Xiaomi with 16 series and Vivo with it X300 lineup are also preparing to launch compact phones, some as early as this week.

These devices are rumoured to pack massive batteries between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh, which is impressive given their smaller size.

OnePlus 15T – What Else to Expect?

According to the leak, some of these upcoming models might also feature upgraded fingerprint sensors. This means the phones will be moving from standard optical in-display scanners to advanced 3D ultrasonic scanners for better accuracy. Wireless charging is also said to be in the mix for these compact flagships.

For now, only the front view of the supposed OnePlus 15T is visible, and none of this is officially confirmed. But if the leaks are true, OnePlus could be preparing a compact phone with top-tier specs, a large battery, and modern features.

Answer. A new leak has surfaced, showing what’s believed to be the upcoming compact flagship from OnePlus, hinting at a smaller display and slim design.

Q2. What battery capacity is expected in the OnePlus 15T?

Answer. These devices are rumoured to pack massive batteries between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh, which is impressive given their smaller size.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Tipped to Feature Bigger 6.89-Inch Display with Slimmer Bezels

0

Highlights

  • The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to feature a 6.89-inch screen with ultra-slim 1.15mm bezels.
  • Samsung will reportedly use a CoE OLED panel with a colour filter and black PDL, boosting brightness and efficiency.
  • The S26 Ultra may retain its 50MP and 200MP sensors and the 5,000mAh battery in a thinner body.

If recent reports hold any ground, we might get to see Samsung pushing display boundaries once again with its next Ultra phone. According to new leaks, the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will have an even larger 6.89-inch screen, which is slightly up from the 6.86-inch display on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Here’s what we know so far.

Galaxy S26 Ultra to Get Bigger Screen

Trusted tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter) claims that Samsung has managed to increase the screen size without making the phone any wider. This means the phone will still be keeping it at 77.6mm. In case you are wondering how that is possible, a possible theory is by shrinking the bezels even further.

The bezels on the Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to measure just 1.15mm, compared to 1.2mm on the S25 Ultra.

image
A look at Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 1.2mm bezels. (Image credit – Samsung)

This trend of thinner bezels makes phones look more modern and sleek, something Apple and Samsung have both been working toward in recent years.

Galaxy S26 Ultra – New CoE OLED Display Tech

We have already reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly feature a Colour Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED panel. This improves both brightness and efficiency.

Instead of using a traditional polariser, Samsung replaces it with a colour filter and swaps the standard pixel definition layer with a black PDL. This helps the screen get brighter without draining more power, which could help extend battery life.

This display technology is already being used in Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, and it’s now making its way to the Ultra line.

Galaxy S26 Ultra – What Else We Know?

While Samsung is expected to stick with its 50MP and 200MP camera sensors, the company may focus on enhancing image quality. It will probably do that through better image processing, variable aperture and improved lenses rather than changing the hardware.

As for the battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might keep the same 5,000mAh capacity as before, but the phone itself is expected to be thinner.

FAQs

Q1. What is the expected screen size of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra?

Answer. The upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will have an even larger 6.89-inch screen, which is slightly up from the 6.86-inch display on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Q2. What display technology will the Galaxy S26 Ultra use?

Answer. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly feature a Colour Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED panel. This improves both brightness and efficiency.

Q3. Will the Galaxy S26 Ultra have a bigger battery than its predecessor?

Answer. The Galaxy S26 Ultra might keep the same 5,000mAh capacity as before, but the phone itself is expected to be thinner.

Here’s what the V60 could offer –

Processor – Snapdragon 7 Gen 4

Software – Android 16-based OriginOS

The phone was recently spotted on SIRIM and TUV certification sites under the model number V2511, further confirming an imminent launch.

If the leaks are accurate, the Vivo V60 could be a stylish mid-range device with strong cameras, fast charging and a fresh new software experience outside China.

As of now, Honor hasn’t revealed how many RAM/storage variants or colour options will be available in Romania. Pricing is also still under wraps and will be officially announced on launch day.

UK and Germany Launches Also Coming

Honor has also set up pre-registration pages in the UK and Germany, signaling that the Magic V5 is coming to these countries too. However, launch dates for these markets are yet to be confirmed.

Honor Responds to Thickness Controversy

Meanwhile, Honor has responded with photo evidence of Magic V5’s thickness after recent controversy regarding its comparison with Galaxy Z Fold 7.

For those of you who are unaware, the Magic V5 came under scrutiny after tipster Ice Universe shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is thinner than the Magic V5. That came as a surprise considering the official specs list the Magic V5 at 8.8mm and the Galaxy at 8.9mm when folded.

To settle the debate, Honor has now contacted GSMArena and provided photo evidence showing the Magic V5 measured with calipers. The images confirm the official numbers, which were 8.80mm folded and 4.10mm unfolded.

Ice Universe’s measurements, however, showed 8.95mm for the Magic and 8.79mm for the Galaxy, using the Ivory White variant of the V5. This variant is slightly thinner than the other colour options that measure 9.0mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded.

Honor has now explained (via GSMArena) that its official measurements exclude removable screen protectors and small differences could be due to manufacturing tolerances and measuring variations. The company says its dimensions are based on standardised lab tes

According to the global Honor website, “Data comes from the HONOR Lab. 8.8mm refers to the thickness of the Ivory White model in the folded state. The overall thickness does not include the inner and outer screen protective films and the raised part of the camera. 217g refers to the weight of the Ivory White model excluding the inner protective film. The actual data may vary depending on configurations, manufacturing processes and measurement methods. Please refer to the actual device.”

Samsung’s First Tri-Fold Phone Might Be Named ‘Galaxy Z TriFold’, Trademark Suggests

0

Highlights

  • Samsung has reportedly filed a trademark in South Korea for the name “Galaxy Z TriFold,” hinting at its upcoming tri-fold smartphone or series.
  • The device is internally codenamed Q7M and is expected to launch by December 2025.
  • It is expected to feature a 10-inch inner display, a 6.49-inch cover screen, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Samsung may have skipped showing off its much-anticipated tri-fold smartphone at its recent Galaxy Unpacked event, but that won’t stop us from speculating. The latest word is not even a speculation but sort of a confirmation. A new trademark hints that the tri-fold Samsung phone might already have a name lined up.

Trademark Application Reveals Moniker Galaxy Z TriFold

According to recent reports, Samsung has named its tri-fold phone Galaxy Z TriFold.

image
Samsung applies for Trademark protection for the Galaxy Z TriFold name in South Korea. (Image credit – SamMobile)

The name surfaced thanks to a trademark filing in South Korea, spotted by GalaxyClub via SamMobile. While this doesn’t confirm the final branding, it does give us a strong clue.

GalaxyClub speculates that “Galaxy Z TriFold” could either be the name of the tri-fold phone itself or possibly a whole new series of tri-fold devices.

Samsung confirmed after Unpacked that a tri-fold device is still coming this year. Though many details are still under wraps including the final name. The company has at least made it clear that the product is very much in the pipeline.

The tri-fold phone was first teased at the January 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event. Now, Samsung says the device will officially launch by December 2025. While the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 were revealed earlier this month, the tri-fold was notably missing from the lineup.

Samsung Tri-Fold Phone – What We Know?

Codenamed Q7M, the upcoming tri-fold device is expected to feature a 10-inch inner display when unfolded and a 6.49-inch cover screen. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. For now, the launch is likely to be limited to South Korea and China.

image
Flex G” prototype Samsung showed off at MWC 2025. (Image credit – SamMobile)

Still, the final name isn’t locked in. Some earlier reports suggested names like “Galaxy G Fold,” which would connect it to the “Flex G” prototype Samsung showed off at MWC 2025.

But with this new “Z” trademark, it looks like Samsung might be leaning toward keeping the tri-fold under its existing Galaxy Z series branding or just covering all possibilities by registering multiple names, something big tech companies often do.

If all goes to plan, the Galaxy Z TriFold will land later this year, joining a market currently led only by Huawei’s Mate XT. Whether Samsung’s version will shake up the foldable space or remain a niche offering is something we’ll have to wait and see.

FAQs

Q1. What is the expected name of Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold phone?

Q2. When will the Galaxy Z TriFold officially launch?

Answer. Samsung says the device will officially launch by December 2025.

Q3. What are the expected specifications of Samsung’s tri-fold phone?

Answer. Codenamed Q7M, the upcoming tri-fold device is expected to feature a 10-inch inner display when unfolded, a 6.49-inch cover screen, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The iPhone 17 series is still months away, but leaks are already giving us a glimpse of what to expect, especially when it comes to colour options. According to recent reports, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max might be getting a splash of colour with new orange and dark blue variants. These would come alongside classic options like black and silver. Here’s a quick roundup of all new leaks.

iPhone 17 Pro Models – Colour Variants

Tipster Majin Bu recently shared a blog post claiming that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be available in just four colours –

  • Black
  • Dark Blue
  • Orange
  • Silver
image

Bu also released some renders showing what these colours might look like.

These colour choices are reportedly based on information from an “accessory manufacturer and sources close to Apple.” Notably, there’s no mention of a Grey variant, which Macworld had previously said was in the works. That would bring the Pro lineup back to four options, rather than expanding to five, a shift that lines up with Apple’s usual approach, but still raises eyebrows because of the bold orange shade.

The Silver and Black in the renders look familiar, similar to past Pro models. As for Dark Blue colour variant, it resembles the iPhone 15 Pro’s finish. The Orange, however, is something entirely new and definitely eye-catching.

Colour That Changes With the Light

Adding another layer of intrigue, leaker Instant Digital says one of the iPhone 17 Pro colours will have a unique effect that works with iOS 26’s upcoming Liquid Glass interface.

AppleInsider has also created its own set of renders, claiming they’re based on “prevalent rumours and speculation.” These show five colours, Orange, Dark Blue, Grey, Black and Silver. Now, this seemingly contradicts Majin Bu’s report.

These renderings were reportedly based on an “internal document” seen by Macworld, which detailed upcoming colours and even listed their Pantone codes.

While the Black and Grey tones appear to line up with the iPhone 16 Pro’s Black Titanium and Natural Titanium, the other three shades like the Orange, Dark Blue and Silver are fresh additions.

iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air Colour – What We Know?

As for the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup, including the standard model and the new iPhone 17 Air, Macworld’s leak sheds some light on their colour options too.

The iPhone 17 will reportedly come in six colours –

  • Black
  • White
  • Steel Grey
  • Green
  • Purple
  • Light Blue

Black and White are expected to match the iPhone 16’s look, while the other four will be entirely new.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air is said to launch in –

  • Black
  • White
  • Light Blue
  • Light Gold

According to Majin Bu, the Black option will be carried over from the iPhone 16, while the White will appear slightly brighter.

Overall, while reports are unconfirmed, what we can see from all the speculations is that Apple seems to be shaking things up with the iPhone 17 lineup. This could be especially true for the Pro models, where a bold Orange finish and even light-shifting effects might be on the table.

As for the lineup, we already know that Apple has redesigned the iPhone 17 Pro, created a new iPhone 17 Air and dropped the Plus model from the upcoming lineup. All this will arrive with iOS 26 featuring Liquid Glass fall season.

A fresh leak has given us a good look at what Vivo is cooking up for its upcoming flagship the Vivo X300 Pro. The main highlight is an ambitious new camera setup featuring Sony’s latest 200MP sensor. Here’s what we know so far.

Vivo X300 Pro – Camera Details (leaked)

According to a source familiar with Vivo’s hardware plans as reported in the Gizchina report, the X300 Pro will pack three rear cameras. These could be a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a massive 200MP periscope telephoto lens built around Sony’s brand-new LYT-828 CMOS sensor.

Popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has also supported the claim.

But this isn’t just about packing more megapixels. The LYT-828 is a 1/1.4-inch sensor, unusually large for a periscope lens. While it’s not quite as big as the 1-inch LYT-900, Sony claims it delivers better dynamic range, reportedly exceeding 100dB in internal testing.

That’s thanks to Hybrid Frame-HDR, a tech that combines Dual Conversion Gain and Variable Shutter to help capture more detail in highlights and shadows, even in tricky lighting.

The sensor also features UHCG (Ultra High Conversion Gain), which improves noise performance in low-light scenes. Built on a 22nm process, it supports Quad Phase Detection (QPD) autofocus, allowing every pixel to help with focusing. In real terms, that means the camera should be able to lock focus quickly and accurately, even when subjects are far away, moving, or in low light.

Vivo is also reportedly introducing a new lens coating designed to reduce optical distortion. While exact details weren’t shared, it could mean less lens flare, sharper edges, or clearer shots in general. And yes, when asked if the periscope camera will support macro mode, the insider simply said: “Of course it does.”

Powering the X300 Pro will be MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, which makes sense given that the previous model ran on the Dimensity 9400. So expect flagship-level performance to match the ambitious camera hardware.

If this leak holds up, the X300 Pro could be one of the most camera-focused smartphones of the year, not just in terms of megapixels, but with serious imaging tech under the hood.
