iPhone SE has been the most affordable iPhone in Apple’s portfolio for a long time now.
The Cupertino Giant doesn’t upgrade the iPhone SE as frequently as it diligently does with its other iPhones every year.
Currently, we have the iPhone SE 3 in stores, which was launched in 2022.
Previously, rumours suggested that an upgrade to iPhone SE 3 wasn’t on the cards until mid-2025.
However, recent developments suggest Apple has other plans and we may get to see the iPhone SE 4 launch earlier than expected.
According to a recent Bloomberg hint in the Apple reporter Mark Gurman’s newsletter, Apple stores are reportedly facing a shortage of several key products.
This includes accessories such as the FineWoven faux leather cases, various Apple Watch models and bands, AirPods, iPad mini, and even some iPhone models.
The storage of these key products shouldn’t be a surprise because Apple’s mega iPhone event “It’s Glowtime” is just a few days away.
Scheduled for September 9, Apple’s event will be unveiling upgrades to most of the key products.
As per reports, we are getting the new iPhone 16 Series, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, Two fourth-generation AirPods, M4 Macs Upgrades, iPad Mini 7 and 11th Generation iPad.
However, what’s notable in this list of products that are facing a shortage is the iPhone SE.
The budget-friendly iPhone, as per reports, is also experiencing low stock levels.
This should not be the case because an upgrade to this was not being anticipated until next year.
The report speculates that the low inventory of FineWoven cases could indicate that Apple is either planning to discontinue this material or refresh the lineup with new colours.
So, given that other products mentioned are likely to be updated soon, there’s a possibility that the iPhone SE could be unveiled sooner than we all expected.
Bloomberg report indicates that the new A18 chips and Apple’s focus on Apple Intelligence innovations could be the reason for the early launch of the iPhone SE 4.
In case the recent speculations about the early launch of the iPhone SE 4 have any truth, Apple fans will be getting a budget-conscious option to access the new AI features earlier than expected.
Apple is all set to unveil its new iPhones, watches, and AirPods during the upcoming September 9 event.
While the mega Apple event is still almost a week away, it appears the company is deliberately running low on various current products in its retail outlets.
In the latest PowerOn newsletter, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has revealed that inventory of many Apple products is low at retail stores.
The low inventory is often a sign that the brand is either planning to release upgrades to the current line-up or completely phase out certain products.
With the Apple event only about a week away, we can safely assume that it is the former in case of Apple’s dwindling inventory issue.
As per Gurman’s report, stock of iPhone FineWoven faux leather cases and Apple Watch bands is at all-time lows.
Inventory is also low for numerous iPhone models, which includes the low-budget SE.
The Apple Watch models, AirPods and the iPad mini are low on shelves indicating an upcoming upgrade.
Moreover, low inventory is also reported for the smallest iPad, which suggests that a new model may be coming soon.
The iPhone SE has mostly costed below $430, and the upcoming model is likely to be priced under $500.
In India, the iPhone SE 3 is available at ₹47,600, and a similar price is expected for the iPhone SE 4.
