iQOO is preparing to launch its performance-focused smartphone, iQOO Neo 12, in China on October 28, 2026. Ahead of the launch, iQOO has confirmed major updates about its Neo 12, including the phone’s battery capacity and wired charging speed. The latest update from iQOO reveals that the Neo 12 will feature a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with a large sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS).
According to the company, iQOO Neo 12’s bionic camera technology captures photos that are what the human eye sees. The phone is also confirmed to pack a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging support.
50MP Sony IMX921 With OIS
The official teasers confirm that the iQOO Neo 12 will feature a 50MP primary camera powered by the Sony IMX921. It boasts a large sensor size and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), meant to capture blur-free images in low-light and action-heavy scenarios.
The teaser further reveals that iQOO’s bionic imaging technology has been integrated into the system to deliver photos that closely reflect natural colours in the real world. The Neo 12 also includes a high-resolution mode for fine-detailed photography, one-tap access to three separate portrait film filters: positive, negative, and clear blue.
Battery Capacity and Charging Speed
iQOO Neo 12 comes with a huge 9,000mAh Blue Ocean battery with 100W fast wired charging. The battery is built using fifth-generation silicon anodes and second-generation semi-solid-state technologies, which gives it an ultrahigh energy density of 916Wh/L. According to iQOO, this battery system yields up to 11.6 hours of continuous MOBA gaming or nearly 30 hours of short video playback.

The iQOO Neo 12 will support Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 to maintain long-term battery health. This advanced iQOO bypass charging feature transmits power directly to the system hardware during heavy workloads like video playback, gaming, and GPS navigation. By bypassing the battery during active use, it substantially reduces device heat and slows down cell degradation over time.
RAM, Software and Other Expected Features
A recent Geekbench listing of iQOO Neo 12 suggests that the device may feature 16GB RAM, Android 17-based OriginOS 7 and an Adreno 840 GPU.
iQOO Neo 12 Launch Date, Availability and Pre-Order Offers
The iQOO Neo 12 is scheduled to launch in China on October 28 at 7 PM local time. Regarding its pre-orders, customers can pre-order the smartphone through all sales channels in China.
