iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Specs Leak Ahead of August 18 Launch, Custom Dimensity 9500M Chip Revealed

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra will be launched in China on August 18 at 7:00pm local time. The smartphone is already available for pre-order in the Chinese market through the Vivo online store. It will be available in three colour options called Light White, Shadow Black, and Wind Chaser. Now, iQOO has confirmed its custom MediaTek chipset and display technology, while tipster Digital Chat Station has now shared other hardware information.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Chipset and Display Details

iQOO has confirmed via its official Weibo account that the Neo 11 Ultra will be powered by a custom octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500M processor manufactured using a 3nm process. The company says it worked with MediaTek to develop the chipset specifically for the new iQOO Neo 11 series smartphone.

The processor will also integrate the next-generation “Monster Super Core Engine” According to iQOO, the custom MediaTek chip is designed to provide higher performance while improving energy efficiency.

The display is another major highlight of the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra. iQOO says the phone will be the world’s first smartphone to use a panel featuring Visionox’s F2 luminescent material. The screen can reach up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness “across the entire screen.”

The company has also highlighted a 98 percent first-frame brightness ratio, which is intended to improve outdoor visibility. For eye comfort, the display is claimed to produce less than 5 percent harmful blue light. It also uses the new “circular polarised light 2.0”, which iQOO says produces more “natural light for better eye protection”.

According to Digital Chat Station’s post, the Neo 11 Ultra will feature a 6.83-inch flat 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is said to reach 1,000 nits in manual brightness mode across the entire screen, broadly matching the display information already teased by iQOO.

The phone is expected to pack a huge 9,100mAh battery coupled with support for 100W wired fast charging. iQOO had already confirmed the battery and charging capabilities earlier this month while revealing details about the phone’s design.

For photography, the smartphone is expected to feature a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear camera system will reportedly consist of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Unlike the vertical arrangement seen on the standard Neo 11, the two rear cameras on the Ultra model are said to be positioned horizontally.

Biometric authentication will be handled by a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the display.

It will feature a metal frame and is said to carry both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The rear panel will feature what iQOO describes as a “3D flowing light effect”.
