Tecno has confirmed the India launch date of the Pova 8 Pro 5G and has also provided a first look at its design. One of the phone’s key highlights will be a secondary display on the rear, placed next to the camera module. As noted by multiple reports, the model has already been listed on Tecno’s global website with its specifications, features and colour options. Pova 8 Pro 5G India Launch Date and Design
Tecno has confirmed that the Pova 8 Pro 5G will launch in India on August 18. The company has confirmed that the phone will feature an Alive Matrix Display on the rear alongside the camera module. The teaser also reveals a new orange button on the right side of the smartphone.
The upcoming Pova phone will have a flat metal frame, giving it a more premium appearance. The company is expected to reveal more details about the India-specific version including its specifications and features in the coming days.
Pova 8 Pro 5G Global Version – Features
According to the listing, the global version of the Pova 8 Pro 5G sports a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 1208 x 2644-pixel resolution. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, has a pixel density of 429ppi and can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It supports 1.07 billion colours and has a 93.18 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The global version of the phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset. The 4nm processor has a peak clock speed of up to 2.6GHz and is paired with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.
The smartphone is offered globally in three memory configurations including 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. Colour options available are named Arc White and Tundra Green.
The global model further features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, it has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone is powered by a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. It also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
While these specifications are listed for the global model, the company is expected to reveal the complete details of the Indian variant around its August 18 launch.
