iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 15R in India, marking the debut of its new R series aimed at the value flagship segment. The smartphone takes direct aim at rivals like the OnePlus 15R, featuring the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor while offering a slightly larger battery, dual rear cameras, and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display. Here’s more about the new phone.
Pre-booking for iQOO 15R has now started via Amazon, iQOO.com, Reliance Digital stores, Vivo exclusive stores, and other nearby retail outlets. The official sale for pre-book users starts on March 2 at 10 AM, while the open sale for non-pre-book users begins on March 3 at 12 PM.

Buyers can avail No Cost EMI options starting at Rs 6,833 per month.
As part of the launch offers, customers who pre-book the device can get a Rs 4,000 instant discount on HDFC and Axis Bank credit/debit cards and EMI transactions. Additionally, iQOO or Vivo TWS earbuds worth Rs 1,899 will be offered absolutely free.
The iQOO 15R 5G is available in Triumph Silver and Dark Knight colour options.
The iQOO 15R 5G sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED Eyecare display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness and a 3200Hz instant touch sampling rate. It also includes HDR10+ certification and an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
The device introduces Eye Protection Mode 2.0, which includes features such as Sleep Mode that intelligently adjusts colour temperature at night to reduce interference with melatonin production, a 1 nit sleep screen that remains visible even at extremely low brightness, a colour temperature range designed for dry eye comfort, and motion prompts that use dynamic visual cues to relieve discomfort by 87%.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, which is rated at over 3.5 million on AnTuTu. It is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for high-speed performance. The device also features a dedicated network enhancement chip and a Q2 Super Computing Chip for optimised connectivity and processing.
The iQOO 15R comes equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-700V primary camera with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens on the rear. On the front, it houses a 32MP selfie camera with 90-degree wide-angle support.
Camera features include NICE Camera Algorithm, Super Night Mode, Portrait Mode, multifocal portrait, upgraded Live Photo, and support for 4K 60fps video recording with OIS.
The smartphone features a 6.5K Ice Core VC Cooling system to maintain thermal efficiency during intensive tasks. It packs a large 7,600mAh battery with 100W flash charging and advanced bypass charging technology. The company claims the phone can charge up to 50% in just 33 minutes.
In terms of durability and connectivity, the device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings. Additional features include Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and an IR Blaster. The phone measures 7.90mm in thickness.
The iQOO 15R runs on Origin OS 6 and introduces features like One-Tap Transfer for both Android and iOS devices, Private Space, and Origin Island. Cross-device capabilities include file transfer, screen mirroring, and remote PC access.
AI-powered features include AI Four Season, AI Magic Move, AI UHD, AI Erase, AI Reflection Erase, AI Captions, and AI Image Expander.
iQOO claims the smartphone will receive four OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
For gamers, the device offers manual video recording, 144fps game frame interpolation, hardware-level game eye protection, Gaming HyperSense Audio, and ultra-stable frame rate performance. The company states that the phone is built to deliver a smooth and reliable experience for up to five years.
