Apple recently rolled out the iOS 18.4 update and while it comes with plenty of new features and improvements, three new additions to the Control Center really stand out. These quick shortcuts can make everyday tasks easier and they’re worth checking out.
This update also expands Apple Intelligence support to more countries including India, which means more iPhone users now get access to AI features. As these tools become more widely available, they could make Apple’s devices even more appealing.
Apple has added Ambient Music to the Control Center with productivity features such as focus, relax, or sleep better. It offers the following four mood options –
You can now play calming background music with just a tap.
This feature is exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. Previously, Visual Intelligence was only available on the iPhone 16 via the camera capture button. Now, Apple has made it easier to access, just add it to the Control Center or use the Action Button.
You can ask questions, translate text, copy content, or get quick info through ChatGPT, all directly from your phone’s camera view.
While you could always activate Siri using your voice or through Type to Siri, iOS 18.4 adds a new Control Center shortcut for it. Tap once, and you’re talking to Siri, no need for “Hey Siri” or extra steps. It’s faster and more accessible than ever.
With iOS 18.4 now out, Apple has already started working on the iOS 18.5 update, which will likely bring even more enhancements. Plus, iOS 19 is expected to be unveiled in June, with major UI changes and expanded Apple Intelligence features.
