Vodafone Idea (Vi) is finally making moves in the 5G space. After launching its 5G services in Mumbai last month, the telecom company is now expanding to four more circles, bringing its total 5G presence to five locations across India.
Vi is using something called Non-Standalone Architecture (NSA) to roll out its 5G. This means it’s building the new 5G network on top of its existing 4G infrastructure, which is a faster way to bring 5G to users while competing with other major providers.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s going on with the Vi 5G rollout, including the cities, recharge plans, and other key details.
Vi has officially confirmed that its 5G services are coming to:

Vi’s 5G is available with select prepaid and postpaid plans.
According to reports, Vi offers unlimited 5G, but it comes with a 300GB limit per 28 days, after which speed restrictions might kick in.
Vi is also bringing 5G to the cricket world. Its high-speed network is now available at 11 major stadiums across India, including those in:
Moreover, to make sure fans stay connected, Vi has deployed 9 Cell On Wheels (CoWs), boosted network capacity at 44 locations and added 53 new 5G sites.
There are no special plans required to access 5G inside the stadiums. If you’ve got a 5G-compatible smartphone and your Vi plan supports it, just turn on 5G in your settings and enjoy blazing-fast internet during the match.
