Infinix appears to be preparing to launch the next addition to the GT smartphone lineup. The upcoming Infinix GT 50 Pro 5G has now reportedly surfaced on a certification platform in India, indicating that its launch in the country could be approaching.
Alongside the certification listing, alleged real-life images of the handset have also appeared online. So, we now have an early look at the possible design of the smartphone.
Tech blogger Paras Guglani @PassionateGeekz on X has shared the purported real-life images of the Infinix GT 50 Pro 5G. According to the images, the smartphone will include a dual camera system positioned inside a rectangular camera module on the back, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an LED flash.
The rear panel of the device also shows Pininfarina branding, suggesting that the phone has been designed in collaboration with the well-known Italian car design firm. The handset is also expected to support NFC connectivity.
In terms of physical layout, the power button and volume controls appear to be placed on the right side of the device, while the SIM tray is likely positioned at the bottom edge.
Reports also claim that the smartphone may feature a visible liquid cooling system. This system could help regulate temperatures during gaming sessions and other demanding tasks. Earlier leaked renders had hinted that the device might include green LED lighting on the back and a textured rear panel with a carbon-fibre-like finish.
Meanwhile, the Infinix GT 50 Pro 5G has also been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database with model numbers X6840 and X6891. Details of the certification were again shared by the same tipster in the same report.
While the company has not officially announced the handset yet, the appearance on the Indian regulatory website suggests that the next GT-series smartphone could launch in India soon. The BIS listing, however, does not reveal any additional specifications, which are likely to surface in the coming weeks.
In terms of hardware, the Infinix GT 50 Pro 5G is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with support for a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
The device could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset and may offer 12GB of RAM along with up to 512GB of internal storage.
