Vivo has confirmed the launch date for its upcoming budget-focused smartphone in India. According to the latest teasers shared on the official X account, the Vivo T5x 5G will be introduced on March 17, 2026, with the launch event scheduled to begin at 12 PM IST.
The upcoming handset is likely to bring several upgrades aimed at users looking for long battery life and faster everyday performance. Here’s everything we know about the smartphone so far.
The Vivo T5x 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. The processor has reportedly crossed the one-million mark in AnTuTu benchmark tests, placing it among the stronger performers in this segment. Based on its specifications, the chipset should be capable of handling multitasking and casual gaming without major issues.
The company is widely promoting the phone as “the segment’s fastest smartphone” in the latest teasers.

According to certain reports, another key highlight of the upcoming Vivo T5x 5G is expected to be its large battery. The device is widely tipped to include a 7,200mAh battery, which the company is promoting as the “Segment’s Biggest Battery.”
To accommodate this large capacity without making the smartphone too bulky, Vivo is reportedly using silicon-carbon battery technology.
The handset is also expected to support 44W wired fast charging. In addition, reports suggest it may offer reverse wired charging as well as bypass charging, which can be particularly useful during gaming sessions
Durability is another area Vivo is highlighting for the device. The phone is said to come with both IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water.
For photography, the Vivo T5x 5G is expected to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary rear camera capable of recording 4K videos. On the front, the handset may include a 32-megapixel selfie camera. If accurate, this would mark a major upgrade compared to the 8-megapixel front camera found on the Vivo T4x.
On the software side, the smartphone is expected to run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 layered on top. The company is reportedly planning to provide two major Android updates along with four years of security updates.
Vivo has not officially revealed the pricing of the T5x 5G yet. However, early indications suggest that the smartphone could launch in India with a price tag below Rs 23,000.
The device is expected to be available for purchase through Flipkart, Vivo’s official online store, and offline retail outlets across the country.
