Vivo has launched the new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G, in India. The device arrives in two storage configurations and will be available for purchase through an e-commerce platform as well as the company’s official online store. Here’s everything you need to know about the phone.

The Vivo Y51 Pro 5G starts at Rs. 24,999 in India for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The higher-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 27,999.
Customers purchasing the smartphone before March 16 can also avail cashback offers of up to Rs. 2,500.
The handset will go on sale starting March 11 via Flipkart and the Vivo India online store. It will be available in Festive Red and Noble Gold colour options.
The Vivo Y51 Pro 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top. It features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720×1,570 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display also offers 83 percent NTSC colour coverage.
The handset has a composite plastic back panel and carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water.
Powering the smartphone is a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor. The chipset includes four performance cores with a peak clock speed of 2.5GHz and four efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz. The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offers up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
For photography, the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G features a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
On the front, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.05 aperture, which can be used for selfies and video calls. The handset is capable of recording videos at up to 4K resolution.
The smartphone packs a large 7,200mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging.
Connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, and satellite navigation systems such as GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. The phone is also equipped with several onboard sensors, including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 166.6×78.4×8.39mm and weighs approximately 219g.
