Taiwan-based HTC is gearing up to launch another smartphone under its U-series.
Earlier this week, on Thursday, the company teased the arrival of a new smartphone through a social media post, albeit without revealing its moniker.
This phone can either be the HTC U24 or the HTC U24 Pro, we don’t know as of yet.
The launch will be held at 8:00 am (IST) on June 12, where everything should be revealed.
A teaser poster by HTC shows the side profile of a phone with the “coming soon” tag, with no mention of the moniker.
However, this teased HTC smartphone, which is believed to be the HTC U24 Pro, was spotted on some of the leading certification websites.
Back in April, an HTC smartphone with the model number 2QDA100 was seen on the Geekbench and theBluetooth SIG websites.
A quick gander at his listing shows that this device might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, which will be coupled with 12GB of RAM and run on Android 14.
Apart from that the Geekbench listing revealed some more hardware and details of the same.
The score says the device has scored 3,006 points in the multi-core test and 1,095 points in the single-core test.
The listing also suggests that the device is going to support Bluetooth 5.3.
Although not much is specifically known about these two upcoming models, the HTC U24 and HTC U24 Pro, they are most certainly going to bring something new to the segment compared to last year’s models—the HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro.
Still, there are some features that could easily trickle down, including full HD+ 120Hz OLED displays and an IP67-certified build quality.
The HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro were launched last year and sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage.
The HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro were equipped with 4,600mAh batteries and supported 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The new HTC U-series smartphone is set to launch on June 12 at 8:00 am (IST).
The upcoming models could be the HTC U24 or HTC U24 Pro, as per recent speculations.
The HTC U24 Pro is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
What are the expected RAM and operating system specifications?
The device scored 3,006 points in the multi-core test and 1,095 points in the single-core test on Geekbench.
