How to remove background from image on iPhone with iOS 16

Tech-giant Apple released its iOS16 where the tech-giant has added a ton of new features. The iOS 16 was showcased during the recently held Worldwide Developer Conference 2022 (WWDC).

iOS 16 enhances iPhone with all‑new personalization features, deeper intelligence, and seamless ways to communicate and share. The updated version of iOS offers key features to enhance user’s experience. There is a feature that allows you to remove the background from any image or phone. Here is how you can do it:

There is no edit or background removal option in the Photos app. Users need to use two apps – Photos and the Notes app to edit the image or remove the background. These two apps also works with the Mail and Messages app.

Steps to remove background from image on iPhone

The very first thing that is needed to access this feature, users must be using iOS 16 on iPhone X and above.

Step 1: You need to open the Photos app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Get the image that you want to remove the background for. You need to long-press on the subject in the image to move it freely.

Step 3: Now, simultaneously open the Notes or Messages or Mail app on your phone.

  1. Open a Note/Chat/New Mail and drop the subject that you just selected in the black area.

By following these simple steps you will be able to separate your subject from the background

To work with multiple images at the same time, touch and hold one image, then tap the other images with another finger. You should not forget to save the photo from the Note/Chat/Mail.
