Honor X80 Pro Max is set to become the world’s first device to feature a display with peak brightness exceeding 10,000 nits.
A newly released teaser poster confirms that the Honor X80 Pro Max will feature a 1.5K display with a resolution of 2788 x 1280 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the panel offers 67 percent higher brightness than the Honor X70. The smartphone will also feature ultra-slim 1.3mm bezels around the display.
Honor has also confirmed that the X80 Pro Max will debut with its new Hummingbird Architecture 2.0. The company claims the technology can improve short-video playback smoothness by up to 40 percent. It also performs background memory management to help maintain smooth long-term performance.
On the durability front, the smartphone has received SGS Gold Label Five-Star certification for drop resistance and is claimed to survive drops from heights of up to 3 metres. For durability, Honor is introducing a complimentary screen replacement service for accidental drop damage, which the company describes as an industry-first initiative.

The Honor X80 Pro Max will be officially unveiled in China on June 22 at 7 PM local time. Retail listings have already revealed multiple storage variants including 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 512GB configurations.
The smartphone will be offered in four colour options such as Lightning Red, Black Armour, Moon Shadow White, and Vitality Orange.

One of the biggest highlights of the device is its enormous 11,000mAh battery, which Honor says is the largest battery ever used in one of its smartphones. The handset will support 90W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other devices directly from the phone.
Honor X80 Pro Max is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The company is also focusing heavily on durability with the smartphone expected to carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Enhanced drop protection and the complimentary screen replacement programme are also part of the package.

Ahead of launch, alleged hands-on images of the Honor X80 Pro Max have surfaced online. The images reveal that the smartphone features a two-tone rear design with a faux leather finish.
A large circular camera module is visible on the back with markings indicating a 50MP camera sensor. The front features slim bezels on all four sides and a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
The information screen shown in the leaked images reveals model number BSN-AN00 along with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a display resolution of 1280 x 2788 pixels. The images also reaffirm the presence of the 11,000mAh battery.
Honor X70 Pro Max Quietly Goes Official

In a surprising move, Honor has also quietly introduced the Honor X70 Pro Max ahead of the X80 Pro Max launch.
The Honor X70 Pro Max features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1200 pixels. The panel supports DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, up to 6,000 nits peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and multiple eye-protection technologies.
Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced Edition processor paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device runs MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16. The handset includes a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and electronic image stabilisation (EIS). On the front, users get an 8MP selfie camera.
The Honor X70 Pro Max packs an 8,560mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging along with wired reverse charging capabilities.
Honor has launched the smartphone in Phantom Purple, Sunburst Gold, Bamboo Green, and Phantom Night Black colour options. Pricing starts at 1,999 Yuan (approximately $300) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 8GB + 512GB model is priced at 2,399 Yuan (approximately $355).
Honor X70 Pro Max appears to be exclusive to the Chinese market and the company has not announced any plans for a global launch.
