Honor is reportedly gearing up to launch the X50 GT and 90 GT smartphones in China later this month.
These upcoming models are expected to bring significant improvements and innovations to Honor’s lineup.
However, there is no report of either of these handsets as having anything to do with the Indian market, at least for the foreseeable future.
A Weibo user with the username ‘The Factory Director is Mr. Guan’ (translated from Chinese) shared in a post that the Honor X50 GT and the Honor 90 GT are likely to be announced in China later this month.
These models are expected to succeed the Honor X40 GT and Honor 80 GT, respectively.
The leak adds that the Honor 90GT will launch as a mid-range product, while the Honor X50GT will likely be a relatively budget offering.
Another tipster, Cai Ge Talks About Digital, suggested that the Honor 90 GT will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and carry up to 24GB of RAM.
The phone is expected to support dual speakers and optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The performance and display features of the phone are expected to come with improvements over the preceding model.
The leak adds that the phone may also launch alongside a Honor 90 GT+ model.
The Honor X50 GT and the Honor 90 GT are set to be the first Honor phones debuting with a massive 24GB of RAM if reports by tipster Digital Chat Station are to be believed.
However, they are not the first to do as the more recently released OnePlus 12 has taken that crown.
For the X50 GT, leaks suggest that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, featuring a 6.81-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2388 x 1080 pixels.
This phone is expected to include a 50MP primary camera and a 16MP front camera for selfies, alongside a 4,800mAh battery.
In contrast, the Honor 90 GT is a more premium offering thanks to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, as per the listing.
This model could offer a 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support and might feature 50MP dual selfie cameras and an OLED panel.
That’s about all the leaks that have been offered in terms of specs but even from just these rumours, both these Honor offerings do look to be quite enticing.
While the prices of the upcoming GT models have not been disclosed, rumours have pointed the pricing to be highly competitive.
The launch is anticipated to occur in the last week of December, so mark your calendars.
Honor has been quite active as of late after being separated from its parent company Huawei which is still reeling from US sanctions.
