Honor is preparing to strengthen its foothold in the Indian smartphone market with a local manufacturing push. According to a report by The Economic Times, PSAV Global, led by CP Khandelwal, has partnered with Madhav Sheth’s HTech to produce Honor smartphones in India. Production is expected to begin by March 2026 (Q1 2026) under the government’s ‘Made in India’ initiative.
The companies are reportedly targeting 1% of India’s overall smartphone market with a revenue projection of nearly ₹2,500 crore. Once production kicks off, Honor’s product launches in India are expected to align more closely with their global release timelines.
Globally, Honor has been experiencing significant growth, becoming one of the fastest-rising brands in the industry. However, in India, its re-entry in 2023 (after exiting in 2021) has not yet generated the momentum the company anticipated. PSAV Global was initially aiming to start production in 2024, but external delays pushed the timeline to early 2026.
Alongside the manufacturing update, two major Honor smartphones are tipped for release in the Indian market. After the launch of the Honor X9c 5G in July 2025 and the Honor X7c 5G in August 2025, two more devices namely Honor Magic V3 and Honor Magic 7 Pro are expected to debut soon.
Both smartphones are already available globally, and reports suggest that at least one of them could launch in India before Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, scheduled for September 2025. This claim was highlighted by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore @Sudhanshu1414 and Yogesh Brar @heyitsyogesh on X (formerly Twitter). Both tipsters hinted that the launch may align with the festive shopping season.
With local manufacturing in the pipeline and flagship launches on the horizon, Honor is clearly gearing up for a more aggressive strategy in India.
