Honor has officially launched the Honor Play 70 Plus in China, positioning it as a mid-range 5G smartphone. The device stands out with its Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, a massive 7,000mAh battery and a rugged design. Here’s a detailed look at its features, specifications, pricing and more.
The Play 70 Plus features a 6.77-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, DC dimming and several eye protection modes including a natural light option for reduced eye strain.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which Honor claims is optimised for delivering consistently smooth performance over time. The device is backed by a large 7,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and also offers reverse charging functionality.
For photography, the Play 70 Plus is equipped with a 50MP rear camera enhanced by AI-powered features like object removal, image expansion and eye correction. The phone uses a single-camera layout on the back.
In terms of durability, the device is built to last. It comes with a Gold Label five-star drop resistance rating and adopts a new Tai Chi shock absorption structure to better handle impacts. Reinforced corners further protect against frame deformation. The phone also has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and is designed to maintain accurate touch response even when wet.
For security, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also comes with a dedicated side AI button, which offers one-tap functions like memory cleaning, brightness adjustment and delivery tracking.
Additional highlights include dual stereo speakers with up to 400% volume output, multi-scenario NFC support and Android 15 with Magic OS 9.0 on top.
