Honor has officially announced the launch date for Honor Magic 8 series. According to a viral official teaser, the next-generation Honor flagship lineup will debut on October 15 in China. The upcoming event will also see the introduction of several new devices including tablets, wearables, and audio accessories. Here’s what we know so far.
Honor’s October 15 launch event won’t just focus on smartphones. The company will also unveil the MagicPad 3, MagicPad 3 Pro, Magic Watch 5 Pro, and a new Earbuds 4 model.
Among these, the MagicPad 3 Pro stands out as the first tablet powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same flagship processor expected to power both the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro.
The standard MagicPad 3, meanwhile, is rumoured to use the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

The Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro will be the first smartphones from the brand to ship with MagicOS 10, Honor’s latest custom interface based on Android 16. The new software promises improved system performance, better personalisation, and deeper AI integration.
The Magic 8 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch micro-quad-curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device could be a 7,200mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
On the camera front, the Pro model may sport a triple rear setup featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, also with optical stabilisation. For selfies, the phone could pack a 50MP front-facing camera.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro is expected to be available in Rising Sun Gold, Azure, Snow White, and Velvet Black colour options.
The standard Honor Magic 8 will likely feature a 6.58-inch flat OLED display with the same 1.5K resolution. It could come equipped with a 7,000mAh battery and 90W fast charging support. However, unlike the Pro model, it may not include wireless charging.
In terms of optics, the Magic 8 is rumoured to offer a similar triple-camera setup with 50MP primary, 50MP ultra-wide, and 200MP periscope telephoto lenses.
Expected colour variants for the Magic 8 include Black, White, Light Blue, and Gold.
