● No charging cable inside the box
● Mediocre ANC

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 come in a very compact pebble-shaped case.
The case has a glossy finish with an indicator light on the front.
The charging port is at the bottom. The White colour variant we received for this receive looks good.
It is overall very sleek and has decent build quality. The case hinge quality is also good and the lid snap closes keeping the earbuds secure inside.
The magnetic hold of the case on the earbuds is quite strong, so you don’t have to worry about earbuds falling off the case.
As for the buds, these are lightweight earbuds with a snug fit. We found the fit comfortable and you can easily wear these for long hours.
The long stem of the earbuds has all the touch controls.
The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 perform well when tuned at 70-80 per cent volume levels.
The higher volume levels instantly enhance the sound clarity keeping you engaged with the pulsating beats of the music.
The bass effect is decent for the segment and we didn’t find anything particular to complain about.
The vocals are nicely highlighted in bass-heavy soundtracks.
However, the treble appears to be on the higher side, and the lack of control over the equaliser settings is a drawback.
Overall, Honor delivers respectable sound quality for its price.
The 30dbs active noise cancellation also works decently well. We weren’t expecting any extraordinary ANC performance considering the price segment and Honor portfolio.
So this ANC performance was decent for us.
The overall battery life of the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 is impressive.
We thoroughly tested the earbuds before this review.
With the charging case, the earbuds lasted us at least 3-4 hours of playtime per day for a week.
As per the brand promise, you can expect up to 35 hours of playtime between charges.
For the attached price tag, it should be understandable that the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 come with some compromises.
The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 price in India is Rs 1,999.
The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 has convenient features such as multi-device pairing, and app support, which is what you expect from TWS earbuds in this segment.
Coming to the sound quality, the output is decent to good. The ANC is acceptable but it could have been better.
Additionally, the earbuds also have decent call quality and battery life is impressive too.
Overall, we give a thumbs-up to the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 but as a user would surely look at other options in the market at least once before making the final decision.
