The HMD T21 tablet has finally arrived in India after its global launch in May 2024. Priced at Rs 14,499, here’s a quick look at what this budget-friendly Android tablet brings to the table.
The HMD T21 sports a 10.36-inch LCD display with a 5:3 aspect ratio, offering a good mix of screen space for work and entertainment. It’s slim at 7.5mm and weighs just 467 grams, making it fairly portable.
Under the hood, the tablet runs on the Unisoc T612 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card. It ships with Android 13 and is upgradeable to Android 14 with monthly security updates guaranteed for 3 years.
For cameras, you get an 8MP rear sensor with autofocus and another 8MP front camera for video calls. The tablet also supports 4G with voice calling and SMS, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS support through GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO.
It features a USB Type-C port with OTG support and 18W fast charging via PD3.0.
Powering the tablet is a massive 8,200mAh battery, which HMD claims can deliver up to 18 days of standby and 12 hours of talk time. Audio is handled by dual speakers, two microphones, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and OZO Spatial Audio for enhanced recording and playback.
The device also comes with a hybrid SIM slot, supporting dual nano SIM cards for cellular use.
The HMD T21 is available in a single Black Steel colour variant. It costs Rs 14,499 for the 8GB + 128GB model and can be purchased through HMD.com.
