The trend of Google Pixel leaks is far from over, as a fresh promotional video revealing the camera features of the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro comes to light.
Shared with 91mobiles by tipster Kamila Wojciechowska, the video was likely planned for an upcoming Google release.
Features like Pro controls, exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro, as well as Night Sight, Real Tone, and Astrophotography, make an appearance.
Google is also planning to introduce Magic Editor, likely to allow users to swap faces in photos seamlessly.
Added functionalities for video, such as Video Boost and Audio Eraser, were also outlined, giving content creators more tools for higher-quality production.
But what do the technical specs say? According to Wojciechowska, the Pixel 8 will sport a 50MP Octa PD wide camera with an aperture of f/1.68 and an 82-degree field of view.
Its Pro sibling will not only match these specs but also bring a 48MP Quad PD ultrawide and telephoto camera into the mix, the latter offering up to 30x Super Res Zoom.
For selfie aficionados, both models will come equipped with a 10.5MP Dual PD selfie camera, though the Pro variant will have autofocus capabilities.
With Google’s official event set for October 4th and pre-orders in India opening on October 5th, the industry is abuzz with speculation and excitement.
Both phones continue the design legacy of their predecessors, featuring the classic rear camera visor and punch-hole display.
As we move closer to the official event, more leaks—perhaps even from Google—are expected to roll out, further completing the picture of what to expect from the Pixel 8 series.
