It appears the upcoming Vivo X500 Ultra could launch in markets outside China as well. The global version of the model has reportedly appeared on IMEI Database with the model number V2660. That’s not all. A separate listing also reveals a Jovi-branded version of the same smartphone intended for Brazil. Here’s what we know so far.
Vivo X500 Ultra IMEI Database Listing
The IMEI database listing reportedly identifies the global version of the Vivo X500 Ultra with the model number V2660. It also names Vivo Mobile Communication Co Ltd as the manufacturer and confirms the Vivo X500 Ultra marketing name.
The new database entry suggests that Vivo may be preparing the X500 Ultra for international markets despite previous rumours against it. However, an IMEI listing alone does not confirm the countries where the smartphone will be sold or establish its global launch date.
Jovi X500 Ultra on IMEI Database
Alongside the global Vivo model, another IMEI database listing reportedly reveals the Jovi X500 Ultra with the model number J2613.
Vivo sells smartphones under the Jovi brand in Brazil, suggesting that this version is intended for the Brazilian market. The appearance of both Vivo and Jovi variants could indicate plans to introduce the X500 Ultra in multiple markets outside China.
The listings also follow the launch strategy of its predecessor, the Vivo X300 Ultra, which became the company’s first Ultra-series smartphone to reach global markets.
Vivo X500 Ultra Expected Specs
The Vivo X500 Ultra is expected to feature flagship hardware, although all the specifications currently available are based on leaks and reports.
The smartphone is tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. It could feature a 6.85-inch flat LTPO display supplied by BOE with a 2K+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is also expected.
Vivo was previously reported to be testing three 200-megapixel sensors for the telephoto camera. However, the latest engineering sample is said to feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor with a large 1/1.2-inch sensor size, compared with the 1/1.4-inch unit used in the Vivo X300 Ultra.
For the 35mm-equivalent main camera, Vivo is reportedly considering two options. The first is a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor with micro-gimbal stabilisation, while the second is a 200-megapixel 1/1.12-inch LOFIC sensor.
The battery capacity is another detail that remains uncertain. Current leaks point to a battery between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh.
Vivo X500 Ultra Launch Timeline
The Vivo X500 Ultra is expected to launch in China between March and April 2027. Vivo has not announced an exact launch date or confirmed when the smartphone will arrive in other markets.
However, its global launch schedule, pricing and regional availability remain unknown. More details are expected to emerge as the smartphone moves closer to its anticipated launch.
