Samsung Electronics plans to host the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in San Jose, US, where the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will be officially introduced.
The Elec, a Korean publication, reports that pre-orders for these eagerly awaited models will open on the day of the event.
Customers who pre-reserve can expect their devices between January 26 and January 30, while general sales are anticipated to start on January 30.
The Galaxy S24 and S24+ are rumoured to largely retain the Galaxy S23 line’s hardware but with a notable upgrade to titanium frames.
In terms of processing power, these models might feature Exynos chips in select markets, alongside a custom “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy” variant.
The Ultra model, Galaxy S24 Ultra, is expected to consistently utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in all markets.
All models in the Galaxy S24 Series are likely to showcase AI advancements, running on an Android 14-based One UI 6.0 skin.
An intriguing addition could be an Instagram camera shortcut on the lock screen, enhancing social media integration for users.
