Microsoft has recently introduced Copilot Pro, a new addition to its suite of AI-powered tools designed to enhance productivity across its Microsoft 365 applications.
This move marks a significant step in integrating advanced AI technologies into everyday software use, aiming to boost efficiency for both individual and business users.
“As per Microsoft, Copilot Pro is a single AI experience that runs across your devices, understanding your context on the web, on your PC, across your apps, and soon on your phone to bring the right skills to you when you need them.”
Copilot Pro, priced at $20 per user per month, extends advanced AI capabilities to popular Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
This service is available on PC, Mac, and iPad for users with an existing Microsoft 365 Personal or Family plan.
Notably, Copilot Pro is an add-on service and does not come bundled with the Microsoft 365 subscription.
The service offers a range of AI-powered features, including writing, editing, summarizing, and text generation in Word and OneNote.
In Excel and PowerPoint, it transforms natural language commands into sophisticated presentations and data visualizations.
For Outlook users, Copilot Pro assists in drafting emails with adjustable length and tone.
Subscribers to Copilot Pro also receive enhanced capabilities in Designer, Microsoft’s AI-powered image creation tool.
This includes 100 daily “boosts” to expedite image generation, improved quality, and more formatting options.
Furthermore, subscribers get priority access to the latest GenAI models, such as OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo, promising better performance during peak usage times.
In the future, Copilot Pro will offer the flexibility to switch between different AI models and the ability to use Copilot GPT Builder for creating custom AI assistants tailored to specific needs or topics.
Simultaneously, Microsoft is expanding the accessibility of its AI services to businesses by making Copilot available to a broader range of Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscription plans.
This includes Copilot in Teams, which provides real-time meeting summaries and action items, exclusively for enterprise users.
Additionally, Copilot for Microsoft 365 offers enterprise-grade data protection and customization options through Copilot Studio, enabling users to create tailored chatbots and plugins.
Alongside these premium offerings, Microsoft continues to support free users by launching Copilot GPTs, fine-tuned to specific topics like fitness, travel, and cooking.
A free mobile app for Copilot is now available, offering features like GPT-4, DALL-E 3 for image creation, and chat history syncing across devices.
Looking ahead, Microsoft plans to expand Copilot’s language support, adding numerous languages including Arabic, Czech, Danish, and more in the first half of 2024.
Copilot Pro is a premium AI-powered add-on for Microsoft 365, priced at $20 per user per month.
It integrates with Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote, offering advanced AI functionalities such as text generation, data visualization, and email drafting.
Copilot Pro is accessible to users with an existing Microsoft 365 Personal or Family plan.
It is an additional service on top of the Microsoft 365 subscription, bringing the total cost for the lowest-tier subscription to $27 per month.
Copilot Pro offers enhanced image creation capabilities in Designer with 100 daily boosts, and priority access to the latest GenAI models like OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo.
It differs from the enterprise version, which includes Copilot in Teams and enterprise-grade data protection.
Future updates for Copilot Pro include the ability to switch between different AI models and access to Copilot GPT Builder for creating tailored AI assistants for specific topics or needs.
